two slices of cheese pizza in a box
Cecilia T.

I came here twice in a week, and this has to be the worst pizza place I've ever been to. My first visit was last Sunday (1/29) around 6pm, there was like no pizza left and they will not be making any more so I got a few cheese slices and a pepperoni twist for my daughter to try. I asked for them to be extra hot- that didn't happen and fyi, they charge tax on the pizza (I'm used to it being calculated in the price of the slice), no biggie. It was a 5 minute drive home, the pizza was already cold, tasted bland and crust was hard but thank god she said the pepperoni twist was good. She asked for them again so I went for the second time today (2/4) hoping my experience would be better. Nope. I ordered 2 sicilian slices, 1 spinach and 4 pepperoni twists. The cashier automatically added the 63 cent fee assuming I was paying by card but I was intending to pay cash. I asked if she can break a hundred and she said no. It was 3pm- you're an establishment and you don't have $80 change while there's a sign encouraging customers to "pay by cash and save", seriously?! At the end, I was forced to pay by credit card. Also, the young girl cashier and the guy taking orders are so rude- constantly laughing and speaking Español to each other in front of the customers. Horrible customer service and their pizza is mediocre at best. I will not be returning again for the third time.

Giving them a 2 because my delivery experience really left a bad vibe for me. Otherwise food is fine pretty standard and what was upsetting was that i've eaten here or ordered a few x already. Food - usually get a small cesar salad maybe add chicken tad expensive imo considering a slice is like $2.50 the small is like 4.50, side order of meatballs (fav) $5 for 2 they're quite big. We also order margarita and spaghetti sometimes no complaints. Delivery - they told me it would take about 30-45min when i called before 9pm so that was nice since they close at 10pm. It arrives and this was my fault i did not get the total price on the phone when i called in but i added it up myself that i knew it was around $23-24 The guy did not give me my receipt and told me it was $25 but later on I asked for the receipt just to make sure. I did not have anything less than $30 and when i asked for change all he had was a $5. I asked for singles which he claimed he did not have so this became an issue because I still wanted to give him a tip but i wanted singles. He said he did not really speak english and that $5 tip was good from roslyn to the house...which was 10minutes btw if i had just gone and picked it up myself. This will not be happening again. So i was nice and just let him keep it so he basically got a $6 tip after already adding $1 to my order to pocket then not having change to also pocket. I have never had an issue with a delivery person not having singles on them but i was just like whatever at that point. Not happy with that experience.

The sicilian slice tasted like pizza hut which is not too bad but the plain slice had that burn grill taste on the bottom.

This is a small pizza joint with a few seats. Chairs were hard, tables were rocky like you'd expect at any corner pizza place. One thing I always rate a place by is their forks, and it's a 5 star utensil place! Better than a lot of sit down restaurants. The Pizza HOLY WOW! I'm a pizza snob and this was one of the best pizzas I've ever had. Maybe #2. We're from Philly where there's a good pizza joint on every corner. We got the Grandma's pie with pepperoni. This jawn had vodka sauce spilling out the side. Messy as hell, but damn was it good. And, they used those little pepperoni, which I love. They fit in your mouth better (that's what she said!). The crust! Oohhh the crust! Crispy on the edges but soft inside. The cheese sat under the sauce, so it melted up really nice. I know I'll never go back there (Long Island's a bitch to get to from Philly). But, if QU plays LIU again (which it will since we're in the same conference now), I guess I might be back in 2 years. We'll probably go back because I think I'll be dreaming about this pizza for the rest of my life. The Price This is the only reason I'm giving it 4 stars. This was the most expensive pizza I've ever bought! $34 and with drinks came to $43! My wallet isn't that fat!

Our…read morefriends recommended Centro Cucina since they have had enjoyable experiences there in the past. The restaurant has valet parking, for a particularly good reason, parking on your own is impossible. Centro Cucina has outdoor dining along with a casual, unassuming dining room. From what I read, the restaurant was started by father and son, Antonio, and Giuseppe. The owners are direct as soon as you walk into the restaurant, always attentive to their customers. I found that the noise level can be high in the dining room at times. But overall, it was not a total distraction. We ordered appetizers, Zucchini flowers and grilled octopus. I thought the octopus was tender and tasty. The zucchini flowers were okay. However, not everyone does not have similar tastes in food. For the entrée's we ordered a shrimp dish that was requested by one of our parties, and the dover sole. Overall, our dining experience was delicious, delightful, pleasant, enjoyable, and appealing, we will most certainly return soon.

It's across the street from Matress Firm on the west side. It shares a parking lot with a bar grill called barefoot peddler. So, be careful where you park. I'm told they've been there 18 years. It's a cozy little casual local restaurant. It has a bar as well. They serve fresh made foods, fish, lobster and oh , yes, dessert. Their soup of the day was a delicious Lentil. The salad was fresh with a good dressing. The Grandmas cake recipe was light and lemony. The waiter came and asked if I was finished with the soup when I started eating the salad with fresh pears. I told him- nope. I found it so tasty that I finished it. A place to go again.

We stayed in the bar area as that takes up the majority of the interior; there are, however, some booths and a separate room with tables. Decor was simple - typical bar/pub aesthetics. It wasn't busy at all when we arrived so we had our choice of seats which was nice. The menu was more extensive than I expected. There's a selection of apps, sandwiches, salads, pizzas, soups, fajitas, and burgers - with several sections having a "make your own" option. I decided to go with a sandwich - specifically, the chicken pesto was speaking to me. This was grilled chicken with mozz, pesto sauce, and roasted red peppers on a roll. The sandwich was good - flavorful with all the components marrying well together. The bread was also soft enough that it broke through my bites; I was concerned being a hard roll that it would be too tough, but the consistency was perfect. I opted for tots instead of fries on the side which were good as well. Service was good - our server was friendly and food came out at a good pace. Overall, I was pleasantly surprised with the Barefoot Peddler. The food was tasty, and I wouldn't hesitate to return if I'm in the area again.

They start you off with some warm buns served with honey butter and they were GOOD. So good that we asked for more and then tried to stop ourselves from devouring them before our food even arrived. For appetizer, we ordered the crispy calamari. The batter was very light and the calamari itself was so delicate and sweet. You can definitely tell how fresh the seafood is and that stayed true for the rest of our meal. For pastas, we got the spaghetti fra diavolo containing lobster and shrimp. Again, the seafood was fresh, sweet, and tender. The pasta was also a shocker, not only was it perfectly firm, it had such a nice chewy texture. You can feel and taste how homemade the pasta is. Next, the rigatoni eggplant was our unexpected favorite. The pasta texture was even better with the rigatoni shape and the eggplant was not even noticeable, it blended in so well with the sauce. The ricotta on top was the perfect creamy addition. For proteins, the pork chop was very tender and juicy. The sweet glaze wasn't overly sweet and it really complimented the savoriness of the meat. The brussel sprouts on this dish were also outstanding. I love when a restaurant doesn't treat the veggies as a side dish! The branzino was light and refreshing, it was a really great balance to the other saucier dishes we had. The service was extremely attentive and so friendly. They really took care of us and made sure we enjoyed our meal.
