The magic that has been Eddie's signature for over 50 years. Eddie's pizza is Best of the Best.

Never disappointed. Eddie's is my first and last stop when visiting Lon Gyland. After 50+ years of searching across 3 continents and 17 US states, Eddie's remains my favorite pizza. Quick table service, reasonably priced. Same menu for as long as I can remember. Low lighting, classic paneling. The only thing missing is Hugo (sic) sitting in the front room, corner table, folding boxes. Nostalgic. Crispy. Reliable. Forever my favorite spot for pizza either in-house or take out.

We went to pick up family at the airport late evening and they requested pizza. We decided to try something new and picked up an order here. If you're like me who doesn't like crust, this is a very good choice! It is thin crust pizza which was tasty and crispy. The eggplant parmigiana was good as well. Our order was ready at the requested time. It is CASH only. We would order from them again.

It feels like a dive bar upon walking in and then you turn the corner and see that it opens up to a slightly larger dining room with the feel of an old Irish pub. Service is good, efficient and attentive. The food was good. They are known for their famous "bar pie" which is basically just a super thin crust pizza. We tried the Bianca and the original with onions, mushrooms and meatballs. Both were very good, although I think the Bianca took the cake. Upon further reflection, the contrast of the Irish pub-esque ambiance and the pizza menu was very interesting and it worked. It's really just a relaxed divey atmosphere that knows what it is. Not trying to be overly fancy or pretentious. I dont know that I get all the hype with The NY Times and picture from Billy Joel's visit on the walls but it was good and I would go back.

You must get the bar pie! So crispy and fresh. Zucchini sticks are another favorite! Fresh and crispy!!

This place is a slice of nostalgia for me. The inside is very much a bar, which is why they serve (and specialize) in bar pie. Service has always been decent, nothing to complain about, but nothing stand-out either. The pizza is thin and crispy. It eats light, even with toppings. My favorite topping is probably their meatball, which they thinly slice. It goes great with their sauce. Don't get me wrong though, a regular cheese pie is great too. It's also only 270 calories. You can't really beat that. There's some debate over whether it's been open since the 30's or 40's. No matter how you look at it, it's been around for a long time and a long time for a reason, a very solid bar pie.

Not worth it... AMBIANCE: 2 out of 5 We entered by the bar and the smell wasn't the greatest! We sat in the dining room area and it looks like it needs a facelift but it was clean so no complaints there! SERVICE: 2 out of 5 She bailed before cashing us out. The clam pie took too long so she definitely showed she did not want to be there. FOOD: 3 out of 5 -Onion rings: Too greasy -Cheese Bar Pie: Tasty Pizza without the guilt -Pepperoni Bar Pie: The pepperoni is not high quality and the cup/scoop pepperoni is better so they should switch! -Clam Casino Bar Pie: Fresh clams definitely! Not out of a can!

I've been going to Eddies for almost 40 years. They always had a unique take on thin crust pizza. The place has an old school, throwback era vibe to it. Some of the waitresses have also been there a looooong time. The service is fantastic and they're always witty, sarcastic and very friendly. There are lots of types of pizzas out these days with plenty of options available just about anywhere you go in the tri state area (NY, NJ and CT). This place has its own, one of a kind thin crust pizza. It almost tastes like a matza cracker. You can put as many toppings on the "bar pie" as you'd like, but my favorites are the plain cheese and sausage & onions. I believe they offer whole wheat crust as well as gluten free. There's a bar area that has its local regulars, but if you sit down for a drink, they will always make you feel welcomed. They also have a good amount of appetizers on the menu and you'll be sure to satisfy all members of the family, kids and adults alike. If you live anywhere in the area and have never tried Eddies, I strongly suggest you do so. I hope they're around for at least another 40 years!

The menu is fullll of goodies!!!!

Nothing but wow. We sat at the bar and had two bar pies. One with hot cherry peppers chopped up and we added the marinara chunky sauce instead of the thin sauce. Huge secret. we had a side of ziti with the vodka sauce knocked it out of the park. This place has been here for way too long and I can't believe I never visited. Absolutely recommended. Thank you, Eddie

Ask the Community - Eddie's Pizza

I heard the pizza is great but the wine not so much. My question is may I bring my own bottle of wine for a reasonable corkage fee?

    Are they handicap accesible?

I know it's easy enough for a wheelchair to get access to get inside. There are no steps at the entrance. There is a ramp to get into the dining room as well. I can't recall if the bathrooms are handicap accessible, though. That could be an obstacle.

From the moment you walk in, you can tell they take pride in every detail, and that carries straight through to the food. The pizza itself is phenomenal. The crust strikes that perfect balance--crispy on the outside with just the right amount of chew inside. The sauce is rich, flavorful, and clearly made with quality ingredients, while the cheese is perfectly melted and generously layered without overpowering the rest of the pie. Every bite tastes fresh, balanced, and crafted with care. What really stood out was the consistency and attention to detail. Whether you're going classic or trying one of their specialty pies, the flavors are always spot on. You can tell this isn't just pizza--it's a passion. On top of that, the service is friendly, fast, and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. This is the kind of place you keep coming back to--and recommend to everyone you know. With that out of the way, let's get to what I got at this pizzeria. Since I had just come from Dario's, I decided that one slice would be good to get a feel of what KU offers. First off, the ambiance and look of the pizzeria is my favorite of the trifecta and the customer service is fantastic. I got the white slice and on the whole, it was heated to perfection, had a wonderful balance of mozzarella, ricotta and basil. Anywho, the taste of the slice was fantastic and I think this outclasses Umberto's and Da Angelo's white pies by a long shot. The display case had a great selection of wonderfully made pizza and other items for takeout. If you come here, you need to try their grandma pie as that it's claim to fame (I wish I could have it, but damn gastritis! ) I met Giovanni, one of the owners and he was friendly and loves having conversations with his customers and hope to meet him again. This has easily become one of my top favorite pizzerias on Long Island and will make the trek again, this time with my family in tow. Cheers!

Sorry I won't sound that way in this review. I don't jump on YELP to review right away unless something's really got me irritated and fed-up. The Ambiance is basic pizza place IMHO.. Plenty of tables and space. I've eaten pizza and pasta dishes for at least 65 of my 70+ years on this earth and worked in a pizza place during the late 70s-early 80's and I KNOW my pizza AND pasta, especially the sauce. Today's baked ziti and baked stuffed shells was literally out of this world, meaning it tasted like it came from an alien, possibly one of those we've been hearing about on the MSM news. It Was HORRIBLE! No, I don't have pictures because I do NOT have a cell phone or a cam. My wife does but she is not home today. Trust me, I do NOT knock pizza places unless it is well deserved, like this place. This was the 3rd time I've tried this place. The 1st time I ordered the same as today. It was delicious. The 2nd time I ordered a round cheeses pie which was a bit too well done for me, so not satisfied. The very 1st time I had just a slice or 2 and was very satisfied, which is why I went back. Today, I'm sorry I decided to stop there. It's a total waste of $27 as I can't even eat this. It looks and tasted like leftover food from last night. The stuffed shells were way overcooked. So soft that when I attempted to transfer to a big bowl, they fell apart. Too soft and the "ricotta" was not creamy or melted. It looked like ricotta does when it's gone bad. I was afraid to eat it, THAT'S how bad it looked. I did TRY it along with the baked ziti, but not good at all. So, you might wonder how the baked ziti was? HA! NOT GOOD AT ALL! The ziti tasted as it looked. Overcooked. Some brown "burn" spots on the mozz, (very little cheese) and the same "expired looking" ricotta. I tried a couple fork fulls but it tasted burnt to me. well done, burnt and dry. Sorry guys but this was horrible and unacceptable. This was to be for my wife and me tonight. Now I'll just make my own, which I'm quite capable of and KNOW it will be edible and much much better than the garbage I was given today. I would call but the convo would not be pretty since I'm in a rotten mood, so I am just writing it here. I won't waste my time or gas in bringing it back. This place is NOT around the corner. I was just passing by again so I figured I'd get some hot food. I should've stuck with the pizza. I mean really; how do you screw up baked ziti and shells? There's 3 ingredients plus the pasta. The Ricotta HAD to be bad to begin with and then the overcooking it compounded it - or vice-versa. I hate throwing away food but this is going in the garbage AFTER I get my wife to take a couple pics. Both meals are in a big bowl, mixed together since the shells fell apart and I THOUGHT maybe the ziti could be salvaged using some of the sauce from the shells but even then, it tasted horrible. Obviously, Enzo's is off my fav. places to eat pizza/pasta list. It does take the #1 worst ziti and shells spot though. So bad I wouldn't even want another order if offered. I'll take the loss. It's not the first time I've wasted cash. Live and learn. Calda, Positano's, Sbarro's, Gino's and a couple other places nearer to me have yet to disappoint, so I'll stay with them. So now, having just wasted $27 and annoyed at that thoughh it could've been worse, I'm going to drink my blues away with a beer or 3 and then I'll feel better - or fall asleep in front of the TV. If my wife takes a picture and we can figured out how the heck to upload it from her phone, I'll do that as soon as possible. EDIT: The bread given with the meal was also hard and cold as if ( again ) it was leftover from yesterday or even before then. But from what I recall about the bread, it looks a lot better than it tastes. I'll be throwing that out too.

I've driven by Tandoori Pizza many times and was always curious to try them. I had the opportunity to finally try Tandoori Pizza since I was at an event at another establishment down the block. I did takeout, and ordered the following: -- Archari Chicken Pizza w.extra garlic sauce (14" large pie for $31.80 with tax): Anchari chicken is typically very spicy, which I was looking forward to. The chicken was barely spicy and extremely dry. I had asked for extra garlic sauce (+ 50¢) in the pizza but I'm not sure if they actually put extra sauce, since it was so dry. Also, the dough reminded me of Dominos crust; very doughy and not very crusty. The toppings were skimpy and the pizza was mostly doughy bread. -- Lamb Kebab Pizza (14" large pie for $31.30 with tax): the dough was the same as the Achari Pizza; doughy and dry. The flavors of this pizza were stronger than the Achari, but the crumbled lamb was extremely overcooked, making it...you guessed it...very dry. Also, We found the price of these pizzas extremely high, given the skimpy amount of toppings and the size of the pizza. $31+ for a 14" pie with skimpy dry toppings and dry doughy crust is unwarranted. I don't know. Everyone else has rated Tandoor Pizza very high, so maybe it's just us who didn't like them. Or...maybe you have to douce the pizza in Ranch Sauce like everyone else?!?! I personally don't like Ranch Sauce on my pizza so that a big no thanks for me. Sorry! I still love Indian Pizza in general, and will continue to enjoy it, but at other places. I'm glad I finally got to try Tandoori Pizza though... curiosity satisfied! On a positive note, the staff is very friendly, polite and welcoming!
