Without any questions, after they saw the glasses, they stood by their warranty and ordered new frames. (Unfortunately they were not in stock). I was told it would take a few weeks. A week or so later, I received a call from them letting me know there was a backorder on that frame from the manufacturer - not their fault but frustrating we'd have to wait and use an outdated prescription for a while - we're talking months of backorder. However, a few weeks later they called to say they were able to get them replaced sooner. So, we picked up the new glasses within the week of getting their call. While they are more expensive than the chain optical stores or stores like Costco, they stand by their work and provide "service with a smile."

I can see fine; I just needed an updated prescription. Clearly he was looking to make money and not recommend the best thing for me - his patient. We Went through all of the steps and the prescription he gave me isn't correct. I don't know if he wrote it down wrong or what but the script is wrong. I have been to this practice for several years and all of the providers I saw previously were outstanding. I think it says a lot about the practice that all of those other ophthalmologists have left and only newly graduated, inexperienced ones are there now. I am not going back.

They have an online portal that keeps all our info, prescriptions, and bills in one location. They also use external sources to make it easy to automate your contact lens purchasing. I have been having eye issues and I can't thank the Johnson Eye Care team for being so patient and focused on helping me. I have been wearing glasses since I have been a kid and was extremely impressed with how sophisticated all of the equipment their equipment was. It's extremely professional and was able to get to the root of the issues with my issue while Dr Schoepke did a deep look into what I have going on. Being that I am a very technical person ... I was geeking out with all the gear the have ( can you tell ). Oh btw no Air blowing in your eyes here to check your pressure... on top of it Dr Schoepke said those tests are no very reliable. Here's the deal... a year ago I was told from sketchy Dr in the western suburbs that I have a rare eye issue and I would have to go to Canada to stop for going blind in the future. I was relieved that this is not true and the issue I have just needs to be monitored. I have had a weight on my shoulders since that last visit.... I can believe I waited this long. I had the best experience with Char at Morfoot eye care. I went in for an eye check because I had…read morenoticed my eyes were red and irritated with a little something that appeared on my eye ball. After a thorough eye exam, scans and testing, I found out that I had a stigmatism, (unrelated to the irritation) and in fact wasn't 20/20 vision like I always thought. I had always thought my vision was blurry from not getting great sleep. The good news is I was able to diagnose the eye problem with redness and dryness ( the name is long ) :) and get recommendations o help it, & was also able to order a new set of glasses which help me see WAY BETTER!! At my initial appointment, I had mentioned to Dr. Joe I don't drive at night because of poor vision. Dr. Joe recommended getting glasses with just a single lens for driving at night. I currently wear progressive lenses. I just picked up my new driving glasses and wore them on the way home. I have been going to Dr. Ostoich for years, after switching from an optometrist that actually…read moreforgot my appointment and went home for the day. Besides being personable yet very professional, Dr. Ostoich and his entire practice is definitely up to date on all of the latest in eye care. And that's more important than one would think. Unlike all of the cheapie eye stores that don't do complete eye exams, Dr. Ostoich looks at EVERYTHING to be sure your eyes are healthy! My visits are usually about 45 minutes long as they're looking at my retinas, testing eye pressure for glaucoma and searching for cataracts. During one of his thorough exams on my girlfriend a few years back, Dr. Ostoich discovered tumors in her eyes and immediately sent her to an oncologist. Disappointing her gynecologist didn't find it first since she had just seen him, and that's where the cancer started. Dr. Ostoich was definitely the Hero in that situation!! If it weren't for his thorough eye exams, God only knows how much further the cancer could have spread before it was detected. An eye exam store in the mall would not have found this! And then there's the usual vision test. About 15 to 20 years ago, Dr. Ostoich switched me from soft contact lenses to, just as comfortable, gas permeable lenses due to the fact that my vision had been changing to the worse so quickly, at the time. I'm happy to report, my vision hasn't changed one bit since!! I'm still amazed that I have the exact same vision that I did so many years ago!! And it's great to see the Doc smile when he realizes the same thing, knowing he's done his job well. In Summary, Dr. Ostoich and his practice might cost more than going to For Eyes or any other cheapie mall store, but when it comes to your vision, I don't want to go cheap and neglect the health of my eyes. You get what you pay for!!
