I'm not afraid to acknowledge that I am an over thinker, which sometimes results in a bit of anxiety. Marty and Carlos found a way to meet me where I was in terms of capability and mindset. Yes, they were great instructors. Yes, I passed the test. That is not what made my experience great. Marty and Carlos made it great by meeting me at a human level with caring and kindness until I was ready to go take the test. As always seems to be the case, the people make the difference. Made an appointment with Chicago North DMV. Called CS to confirm use of a scooter. Arrived at CS 1-1/2 hours ahead of DMV appointment to complete paperwork with Martin and familiarize myself with the scooter. Received excellent instruction from Carlos. Felt very safe and worked through my jitters. Ten minutes to DMV appointment time, drove down to the DMV for processing (DL, written permit, and insurance in hand.) After processing, called CS back to have scooter delivered to facility so I could do the driving portion. PASSED! Very grateful to City Scooters for offering this service.

This place is the bomb! $15 per day gets you a 18" transport wheelchair (250 lb. weight capacity) - SO easy to fold up, has handles to carry it - fits into your Honda Civic tiny ass trunk. I talked to a woman named Bernie by phone - nice as hell - who says "we have plenty - no need to worry." They open at 8 am - I am there at 8:05 am - assisted by yet another wonderfully nice employee named Jim. He shows me how to fold it, adjust it, etc. This is too easy -pinch me, I am dreaming. I race home to our apt, Metropolis coffee in hand, and say, "Duretta Jean, get in the car - we are Chubby Girl walking at the lake!" Then to Target, then neighborhood strolling, then...oh the possibilities are now endless! A week I was once dreading has now become so much easier. Check them out!

That's not very clear, they don't tell you that beforehand, nor is there a sign on the storefront a couple doors down where all the medical equipment is. When picking up an item for short term rental, I had to call the phone number I found online to find out what was going on and how I was supposed to pick up. Rental process was easy and price was reasonable. However, when I tried renting another time when I had a guest who would have benefitted from having access to a chair (beyond simply hoping that wherever we went had one available for visitor use), I called and never received a response back. I'd hoped to set up delivery of a chair for a weeks' use but since they were silent we didn't get to do that.

The first time we rented from them (July 2021) we had no problems. They are very casual--no…read morepaperwork, no receipt, no email or text confirmations--which struck me as odd but we didn't have a problem so I didn't worry about it. We decided to work with them again because their prices are good and our experience was good last time. This time they delivered the recliner quickly at a good price and we agreed they would return to pick it up in 2 weeks. Two weeks ended 10 days ago. No pickup, no communication at all. When we try calling them it's always a message that the voice mailbox is full. We don't know what to do. We don't want to store their equipment and be responsible for it for an indefinite amount of time. It's very frustrating and I would not recommend them or work with them again. It's too bad because other than this, they were ok to work with but this is a deal breaker and no way to do business.
