Ordered: Iced Sweet Corn Latte (~$8 CAD) Aya's take: Project Seoul is a Korean cafe located on the second floor. It's bright, minimalistic, and surprisingly spacious! They have a few signature drinks but the Iced Sweet Corn Latte stood out to me the most. Koreans tend to use corn in desserts and drinks for its subtle sweetness and what better place to try it than here! The espresso is naturally bold & bitter while the corn flavor gives it that buttery, sweet flavor. It was also super creamy, smooth, and comforting. Definitely a good try!

This is a Korean café. It is located on the second floor. We ordered the following: 1. Chocolate Croffle ($10.99). 2. Earl Grey Chocolate Cake ($9.99). 3. Sweet Corn Latte (iced $7.49). 4. Hojicha Latte ($5.79). The Chocolate Croffle is freshly made with Banana, Chocolate Ice Cream, and Chocolate Syrup. The Croffle was crispy and airy. It was delicious. The Earl Grey Chocolate Cake was also delicious. The Sweet Corn was a layer below coffee. The Sweet Corn on its own was subtle but requires an acquired taste. It was good when mixed with the coffee layer. The Hojicha Latte was good. The customer service was good. The interior has a modern vibe. There are many tables. There are electrical outlets with 2 USB-A charging ports each outlet. There is quiet piano music playing in the background. If you show them a Google review, they will give you a free handmade Dalgona. We got a heart-shaped one. There is free WiFi. The cafe is not wheelchair accessible. There are two female washrooms and one male washrooms, all of them are not wheelchair accessible. There is paid neighbourhood street parking. Review 2025-263

The inside of this cafe is a lot bigger than I expected! The space feels really open with tons of natural light. When I visited they had a cute Christmas tree up and light Christmas jazz playing which set a super cozy atmosphere. There's a lot of seating and when I arrived around 1 PM on a Sunday it was maybe half-full. By 2 PM though it got really crowded and most of the seats were taken. This is definitely a popular study/work spot as I saw a bunch of people on their laptops. Just a heads-up though, there is a 2-hour seating limit on weekends, so plan accordingly. They had a nice display of pastries and cakes, but I ended up getting one of their drinks. I tried the sweet corn latte (less sweet). I'd rate the drink 7/10, the sweet corn flavor wasn't too strong and the latte felt a little bit watery. I think I was expecting something closer to the creamier SooSoo latte style, where you get the sweet corn cream topping. Here, the corn sits at the bottom and the drink is lighter overall without the cream top. I did notice a lot of people ordering their matcha lattes, and they have some fun flavours like blueberry, banana, etc. So I'd come back to try one of those next time and perhaps do some work there as well.

A very cozy chill cafe, great for both chatting and studying! It has free wifi with a purchase and outlets along one wall. The matcha itself is decent. When I went it was quite busy and there were only 1-2 seats free, understandably as it was around 2-3pm.

This is located on the second floor of another restaurant and it's easy to miss the signboard that says it's on the second floor. We climbed the stairs and we were surprised to see so much seating capacity inside the cafe. And the place was packed on a sunday evening! The barista was really friendly and sweet - I ordered a mango matcha iced latte with less ice and he made sure it had less ice and more of the drink lol! It was my first time trying mango matcha and I was happy with the taste but I think I prefer strawberry or regular matcha over mango. Just my preference. They also had a variety of desserts like basque cheesecake, orange cake and so many more items that looked so delicious but I was full so didn't give them a try. Maybe next time!

The absolute best strawberry matcha drink I've ever had. The creamy layer of matcha on top was unique and definitely a great take on this type of drink. They also have a lot of seating and enough space to come with a group and they are open till 10PM. I'm definitely going to go back.

Project Seoul is one of the best workspace cafes in the city. Located on the second floor off of Spadina, they have a front to back facing space along the whole building. The front has bar seating facing the street down below while the back has a small balcony area and the place just flows with energy and fresh air. There are tons of individual or 2 people seating (with bigger tables reserved for 3-4 people to share) that has to seat at least 60+ people. Most of the patrons are there to chat/meetup or working on their laptops. The music is a nice ambient level and when the place gets busy near lunch or the after work/school rush, you won't be hearing your neighbor much anyway. They have some plugs available (maybe 20ish outlets, nearer to the front), but those seat are normally held down by the regulars, so get there early or come with a power bank. Their free wifi is great, no issues and you get the sense that people are there to work, no drama, just do your thing too. Their drinks were great, the sparkling nades and lattes are pretty spot on, they are tailored more to the Asian flavor tastes. Like corn and match lattes, etc. My go-to cafe to get work done. Have a look and see if you enjoy the vibes.

The space is bigger than I thought, laptop friendly, and 99% same style with cafe I've visited in Korea! Love their matcha drinks, not overly milky, and the foam is rich!

Project Seoul is a new Korean coffee shop located along Spadina near Baldwin St., near Kensington Market. It is located on the 2nd floor above a Korean BBQ shop where there are a sit of stairs to navigate (not fully accessible). The aesthetic of the place is calm and relaxing where there are hints of green and wood throughout. The coffee shop has plenty of seating available where it is the perfect place to do some work or hang out with some friends. The menu has both caffeinated or and non-caffeinated beverage options, baked goods (cookies, croissants, cakes, etc.), as well as bingsu (Korean shaved ice). They do open later in the morning but close late at night. I stopped by Project Seoul after seeing the place on Instagram on Thursday morning a few minutes after the shop opened. The place is popular as more and more people started showing up. I opted to grab a cappuccino as well as matcha financier. Staff provided me with a buzzer to notify me when my order would be ready (which took about 5 min). I picked up my order at the counter and sat down. The atmosphere of the space is super relaxing. The hints of green and wood bring the indoors inside. The plants fill the space which creates an inviting and welcoming place. There are also cute framed prints all over the coffee shop as well. Coffee wise, my cappuccino was okay. Not the best I've had but not the worst either. The matcha financier didn't have much of a matcha taste. I'd be curious to try the bingsu and matcha drinks next time. Definitely do love the ambiance of the place - a perfect place to work or get together with friends!

I am a huge lover of cafe workspaces and Project Seoul hits off all of my wants. It's a beautiful space with LOTS of seating. I can definitely see myself working here lots and there are spots with outlets as well. Additional they have free wifi which isn't always the case for some cafes. It does feel like it's been designed as a nice workspace. I got the hazelnut latte which was a bit sweet for me, but the size was good and price is comparable to something you'd get at Starbucks. Service was quick and easy as well. Definitely a great work space and just as lovely of a hangout/coffee date place as well.

What a hidden gem. you would not know it until you get to the 2nd floor! It's so nondescript from the outside street level you would miss it. Once you get upstairs it's huge from end to end and I think there's a patio at the back. Super busy on a Sunday afternoon with lots of students (?) all working on their laptops. It's got good lighting. Clean. 100% like cafes in Korea. This one is very minimalist but still got good vibes. And they offer all kinds of hot and cold drinks and snacks like slices of cake and cookies. Like a typical coffee house.

My friend and I came here yesterday and we enjoy it. It was super super packed when we got there but lucky we were able to get a seat on the patio. They have lots of seats and 3 smaller tables on the patio. We got the mango bingsu, blueberry cake, hazelnut iced latte & pear tea. I really liked the apple mango bingsu and the latte. I think the tea could have been a bit sweet but it was still really good. I wish the cake was a bit more moist and fluffy but other than that it was good! The staff was nice and our order was made pretty quickly every though it was busy. They're very organized because they give you a buzzer to let you know when your order is ready. They have WiFi and lots of outlet so it would be a good spot for studying as well.

The americano & croffle were lovely & there's a decent selection of cakes and baked goods - it's a surprisingly large space considering it's also located downtown in chinatown with an open concept * there were lots of people who were working/studying so would recommend going earlier to grab a seat - but also didn't see a lot of outlets so be warned * lots of greenery so it's a very inviting & peaceful atmosphere

I love ginger beverages- it wasn't overpowering here, I mostly tasted the kiwi and sparkling lemonade. It was busy in there but we still got our orders and drinks quickly, I appreciate how fast the service was. My friend got one of their banana bread drinks - if you like the taste of hojicha, this was particularly strong which I personally enjoyed! Love how the store also has sections where it is like a little market selling local goods and always fun to see the dogs that are sitting outside. The prices are a little expensive (my refresher before tax was $7.5) but typical for what you'd pay in Toronto for a fun drink, from what I've seen.

I'd absolutely come here to get some work done if I was able to get a seat. One thing I really love is that they sell handmade goods from local artists and host craft nights, it feels very community driven and adds such a fun, unique touch to the café. Drinks I tried: Maple Goguma Latte - Slightly nutty, lightly sweet, and super comforting. I added a shot of espresso, which made it perfectly balanced and not too sweet. Dalgona Latte - A really fun drink with great texture. Just make sure to stir it well since the sweetness settles at the bottom. They're known for their creative, seasonal drink menu, and I'm already excited to come back to try what they release next season. Definitely a must-visit if you love cozy cafés, unique drinks, and supporting local artists.

We also got two Dalgona Lattes, one with oat milk, and she differentiated them with the coasters, which was such an adorable touch. Now I need to go back just to try more drinks! Parking was free but a little awkward--spots are at an angle, and the plaza can get busy. But honestly, it's worth it. Coupled with Aussie staples like vegemite and Noosa magazines (takes me straight back there!), as well as gorgeous ceramic coffee mugs for purchase, the vibes are great here. While it is a smaller shop, there is enough seating for 3 tables, and it's very cozy. Had to go for a flat white, given the Aussie homage here. This one got my approval (and I'm picky about my flat whites) - they used a lighter, more balanced espresso roast, paired with just the right amount of creamy frothed milk. They also had a banana bread latte that my companion really enjoyed too! Looking forward to my next visit!
