Our group of 4 came to this viral cafe on a busy Saturday early afternoon after having brunch in the area and this did not disappoint. The place was packed but we were able to get a spot at the long communal table near the fountain. We ordered the matcha latte, Lavender cloud latte, hojicha latte and got an extra free cold hojicha latte on the house along with some pastries. Each drink came on a wooden plate along with water and served in different glasses. It was very aesthetically pleasing in taste and sight. Even though the place was buzzing there were lots of spaces between tables. The fountain with flowing water added a touch of class and character to this cafe. It took a while for one of the drinks to come but we got an extra free drink at the end so it was a nice surprise. Would definitely be back! Saw this new cafe on my walk one day and decided to check it out with my toddler. The space is gorgeous and there's even a water fountain statute in the cafe. At the back there's a small room to sit in with books all around. I got an iced strawberry matcha latte with a chocolate croissant. The strawberry iced matcha latte was delicious but I felt like the croissant could've been a bit flakier. The server brought me a tray of my drink and food when it was ready which was nice as I can be quite clumsy and the drink glass made me a bit nervous. It's a great space to sit and relax it. It was quiet when I went during weekday. I would def come here again if I want a relaxing coffee or tea break. Prices I think are on par with other cafes in the area. I think I'd be more interested in returning more often if they got better baked goods. read more

Definitely nab a seat as soon as you walk in then order. It was jam packed on a rainy weekend when we went, and we had to scope out people who were wrapping up & leaving to get a nicer spot. After high praises from my friend who confirms their Salted Cream Caphe tastes just like the ones in Vietnam, I had to try it out. We also tried their Matcha Cloud & Banana pudding dessert. Adorable vibes. Good drinks. Worth the hype! All the hype on social media and for good reasons! The space is stunning with each section having it's own little vibe. Front is filled with a vinyl wall, middle section feels like a home, back has a fountain, and even further back you'll find a dark book room with lots of books. Staff taking the order was very nice and helpful. Drinks were good - some better than others! Rose lychee matcha 3/5 - Thought this was okay but came in a pretty wine stemmed cup! Viet coffee (caphe) 4/5 - Delicious, strong and great caffeine option. Salted cream caphe 5/5 - I thought their viet coffee options were the best. Great cream that balanced the drink well. Overall, thought their caphe (viet coffees) were so good when compared to their matcha selection. Their matchas didn't have much punch but the caphe definitely did! read more

Botànic reads like a set piece lifted from a well-thumbed novel: chandeliers overhead, bookshelves standing sentry, windows made for sitting beside. The room is styled with genuine conviction, each corner holding its own small mood, and happily the drinks keep pace with the decor rather than deferring to it. The city has noticed, which is the one complication. Seats are the scarcest item here, so the kind thing is to take your cup, take the view, then surrender the chair. This cafe was a vibe and quite cozy, especially with some rain in Toronto. We ordered a matcha latte and peanut butter latte, and they came with complimentary water. A stylish downtown cafe that is full to the brim on weekends. There are interesting drink options like hojicha black sesame and strawberry matcha. A vinyl wall, library room and running fountain ensures many photo opportunities. I had the lychee rose matcha latte with a peach danish. The matcha was quite nice, with more rose than lychee in the profile. Danish was average. Expect downtown prices plus 15% markup. A great place to people watch if you can find a seat. read more

Stopped by yesterday and cafe has a nice interior. The further you go back, there is a area with a fountain, a book with a table and a little room with books filled up. I got their Lychee Rose Matcha for 8.5. Its a cute drink but the lychee flavour is a bit hidden. I like the matcha though. Its a bit noisy so I would consider maybe more off times if a quieter vibe is more your scene. Don't come with a big group, maybe just you and another as seating can be quite hard to find. read more

I think the cafe is absolutely beautiful! The interior is very well thought through and has a very calming feel. The only thing is that the place has become overcrowded with a ton of influencers sitting here for hours just to get the perfect shot while there are people lining up to get coffee. We ordered their lychee rose matcha and I could taste the good quality matcha in the drink. The lychee flavour was very subtle but it was nice. The downtown crowd is already eating up this aesthetic cafe (including myself). The antique-y decor, vinyl wall, full size indoor trees, and fountain are just a few of the elements that make this space so inviting. I came here on opening day, and it was busy as expected, but they were well-staffed. Per the cashier's recommendation, I got the lychee rose matcha. I don't always love rose flavoured items, but this drink had a good balance of sweet and fragrant. I'd really love to come back and try one of their condensed milk drinks, given that its owners are viet. There is quite a bit of seating, including two hidden rooms in the back if you're looking for a more private experience. Botanic Coffee and Caphe located along Queen St. W. near Palmerston Ave is Toronto's newest coffee shop with garden-inspired vintage decor and a hidden library in the back. Despite only opening a few days ago, the cafe has become pretty popular due to it's beautiful aesthetic (there's a chandelier near the back of the space!) and unique drinks. Being Vietnamese owned, the space is completely accessible where there is seating throughout to enjoy your beverages and pastries. They are open daily where they even open at 7am from Mon to Fri (Open Sat/Sun at 8am) and close pretty late (around 7-8pm). Menu wise, Botanic Coffee and Caphe has your classic espresso based drinks, caphe (Vietnamese coffee), matcha, affogatos (think strawberry matcha, matcha matcha and even black sesame hojicha), as well as a unique lineup of signature drinks (cocoano, peanut butter lattes, hojicha black sesame cloud, lychee rose matcha latte, a matcha lavender cloud, etc). They also pastries (croissants, danishes), as well as desserts like tiramisu, banana pudding, and ice cream. I stopped by Botanic Coffee and Caphe the first weekend they opened on a Saturday. Despite it being only 9:30 in the morning, the cafe was half full with customers already enjoying their drinks and pastries. During my time there, there was a steady stream of customers coming and leaving. During their soft opening a few days ago the cafe opened where you could also get free flowers with a drink, where it became super popular on social media. I decided to grab a condensed milk caphe and a butter croissant, where I opted to have my beverage and pastry there to enjoy the space. For the Vietnamese coffee, I did ask for less condensed milk as I prefer it to be less sweet, knowing that Vietnamese coffee is quite strong. Staff also asked me if I wanted my butter croissant warmed. Once my items were ready, I picked them up from the back but didn't have enough hands to grab my croissant. Staff (I believe one of the owners) was super nice and also helped me bring my items to the table I was sitting at. Service wise, the staff are so friendly despite it being busy! You can tell that they are genuinely happy that their coffee shop was busy with customers. They also asked for feedback on the items I had after I finished everything. In regards to my Vietnamese iced coffee and croissant, everything was great! The vibes of the cafe were so relaxing and chill. I loved all the plants and the overall interior of the space. The small details in each part of the coffee shop added to the overall aesthetic of the space. Overall, a beautiful new coffee shop located along Queen St. W. near Palmerston Ave. I will definitely be back for sure to try their other unique drinks as well as enjoy the space. Tried Botanic cafe and overall... it's solid, but didn't fully win me over. The space is impressive, but finding a seat was a bit chaotic, probably because they're still new. There's a back room with a library setup that's much quieter than the front, which is where I ended up working. Coffee-wise, I tried a cortado, it was fine, but leaned a bit too bitter and threw off the balance. Not the best. I also had a peanut butter latte, which was actually pretty good, but I'll need to retry the cortado to really judge their espresso. Food was the highlight. The peach danish was excellent, literally half a peach on top, really well done. Service was good, no issues there. Overall: A decent spot with a cool concept, but a bit too mainstream for my taste. Botanic is such a cute cafe! While their drinks are great (I tried the strawberry matcha & lavender matcha lattes), what makes this place special is the ambiance. It's a pretty large space with tons of books, records, plants, and even a fountain in the middle! There are plenty of seating options, though not all are laptop-friendly so keep that in mind if you're planning on getting some work done from there. I also tried the chocolate almond croissant which was way too sweet for my taste, but the drinks and vibes definitely made up for it. The prices are a little expensive - over average - but I'd still recommend checking this place out if you're looking for somewhere to chill and chat for a couple of hours. Walked into this cafe and instantly loved the vibe.. it had such a cozy earthy feel to it, the kind of place that makes you want to slow down and stay a little longer We tried the blueberry and apricot danish and omg.. flaky on the outside, soft at the center and perfectly sweet without being too much. I've had an amazing experience at this new cafe, especially considering it's only been a few days after the grand opening! The matcha drinks were absolutely delicious! I tried the lychee rose matcha, matcha lavender cloud, and coco matcha cloud, and each one was unique, well-balanced, and beautifully made. You can really tell they put thought into both the flavours and presentation. The desserts were also a delicious surprise; I had the banana pudding and tiramisu, which were both so good and paired perfectly well with the drinks. On top of that, the staff were nice and friendly despite the crowd, which made the whole experience even better. The decor is gorgeous and well thought-out. Of course, there was a bit of a wait and a lineup, but that's totally expected this early after opening, so I'm giving them grace for that. I'm really looking forward to coming back in a month or so once things settle down a bit and I'll definitely be back to work here soon! read more
