Go beyond the usual mixing and matching of ingredients on your pizza.
I love literature and film-inspired food so I collect lit-based cookbooks that teach you how to replicate the dishes we read about or watch. Imagine actually making and eating Bruce Bogtrotter's chocolate cake from Matilsa, or Butterbeer from Harry Potter, or Green Eggs from Dr. Seuss.
I have worked with Project Pie on some PR efforts and saw the opportunity to mags up two of my favorites - pizza and literature! So, in time for World Paperback Day last year I asked the Inquirer Super Team, led by Pam Pastor who loved lit-based food too, to imagine what pizza her favorite storybook characters would make in Project Pie.
The team had fun and made memorable and fun pizza combinations:
- the Tyrion Lannister, from Game of Thrones, with lots of bacon and mushroom
- the Hazel Grace, from The Fault in our Stats, vegetarian of course
- the Katniss Everdeen, from Hunger Games, with cranberries and other "forest finds"
- the Nick and Amy Dunne, from Gone Girl, half and half, with one olive. I won't tell you what that one olive stands for ;)
What I love about Project Pie is it let's me have fun and express my personality and likes in my food creation. The crust is delicious and the ingredients are premium. Plus, the dessert pizzas are marvelous. My favourite is the banana Nutella! What's more, I get to have wine with my pizza. An affordable slice of fancy in my busy world.
