The buyer of our property hired this company to do a prepurchase inspection. The guy turned out to be a real prize. We built the house and owned it for over 20 years. When he started disassembling things without explanation we became concerned. He also turned on the hot tub without filling it with water. Great way to burn up a water cooled motor. Had to show him how to turn on the gas stove. He starting screaming at us and told us we were in his way. The real winner was when water was discovered on the floor outside a shower. Mysteriously. Never in 20 years but now. 2 puddles appeared magically without getting the sheetrock wet. So it somehow left the shower floor, climbed over the 2 x 4 plate of the wall, and appeared in 2 puddles without the drywall getting wet. Or did one of us spill the water on the floor. Oops. WE did not have any water. Being a longtime builder remodeler, I went out in the garage and got the proper color caulking and addressed the nonissue by recaulking the entire shower. Problem solved. Or was there a problem at all or just spilled water. Inspectors have become a more necessary part of home buying. Have used them myself. This inspector went to the buyers agent and the buyer and degraded my wife and I for interfering with his inspection. What he said about us was not just untrue but defaming and libelous. And very unprofessional. Maybe someone peed on his Wheaties this morning and he was just having a bad day. I am certain his summary of this inspection will be detrimental at best. This is our opinion. read more
