I was pleasantly surprised by the good food and excellent service here. Everything we ate here was superb. And drinks were also really good.

There was a mixup with our reservation at another restaurant nearby that led us to Prohibition River instead. Dominic was professional, friendly and accommodating. We're so glad our plans rerouted us there! Service was excellent and we enjoyed the ambiance and dining experience. For dinner, I had the duck confit. It was delicious and cooked perfectly. The cauliflower puréed was the best. Looking for the perfect night cap? I'd highly recommend the espresso martini...definitely one of the best I've had.

-First Impression- was pretty empty when we went, maybe due to the weather? It was pretty cold and rainy that day. -Food- my eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach. I could barely finish my food! -Service- I'm so sorry I can't remember the young man's name (Tyler? Or Taylor?), but he was very nice and made sure we felt well attended to during our visit -Price- definitely will get a lot of bang for your buck here -Did Not Like- N/A -Noteworthy- Portion size! -Recommend- yes

This was a last min decision and we are so glad our first restaurant was terrible with customer service. We called Prohibition River and they gave us an on the spot reservation. Dominique the owner was very welcoming and accommodating. All staff were great. We ordered several things like the calamari and wings for starters. We followed up with the beef stew , fish n chips, the duck, steak and salmon dishes. Everything was amazing. The beef stew melted right in your mouth. Over all a great experience. It's a small spot so make sure to make your reservation. Thank you for accommodating a party of 6 last minute Mr. Dominique and for a really great experience.

So it's under new management- therefore had to give this a try after several years. Well on the positive love the new decor, lighting and seating. Upon our seating at the bar we're greeted by Candy at the bar. NO complaints about her. But $15 for a John Walker black with no ice when I asked for Johnny on the rocks...then we had too ask for ice...$4.00 for the ice. Well. We tried. Bye bye PHR. My ass will not be in your seats over ICE.

Came here for a mid-week dinner. Place was cute, clean, service was great, and the food was extremely tasty. The waiter was friendly and very patient with us. My sandwich was surprisingly very very good. The house pickles add a nice tart/kick. Fries were slightly salty- but I didn't mind bc I like salt :) Beet salad was also very good. For a summer evening, couldn't go wrong with a spritzer. 100% coming back again. Love finding local places that feel like hidden gems.

Went to Prohibition River for brunch with my group of friends. Thankfully they were able to seat my large group of friends for a Sunday brunch-- so that was a plus! We started with some drinks and then my sister and I decided to share some appetizers. The menu has a great variety of sandwiches, salads, and entrees. So for appetizers we chose the grilled cheese shots which came with a roasted tomato and garlic bisque for dipping, angry calamari that were coated in a sweet and spicy sauce, and the short rib quesadilla. Everything was WOW! The grilled cheese was my favorite! I also had ordered some fries and not going to lie they were really good as well! I also had ordered a cappuccino and it was a great way to end my meal. Service was good and all the waiters were attentive. Street parking is plentiful but there is also parking lots nearby. Great place to visit for lunch or dinner in the Nyack area.

Quinoa Salad it was light and healthy! Just what wanted

We had a really great experience here! It was the day of the Halloween parade. Got lucky with a table just before it came by. We enjoyed delicious drinks. I had a Quiona salad with berries and feta. Nice light and healthy! My husband had the wings but I didn't like what sauce is choose home sweet home . Our waitress Amanda was great! Perfect spot to watch the parade. It was so much fun!! Be back again..

I'm giving this spot 4.5 stars and seriously only knocking off a point because they seemed to be short staffed the day I went in. Not this locations fault at all. Prohibition River is the really nice bar, in a very quant area of Nyack. I stopped in here, by pure luck, because I happened to be in the area. I sat at the bar, and let me just say, this is a NICE bar. There are plenty of TVs to watch, if you wanted something a little more laid back than sitting at a table. For my meal, I started out with the tomato bisque and it was very creamy! It also had a little kick to it. It felt like I was being hugged from the inside, eating that soup. I'm still dreaming about it! Then for my entree, I ordered the beet salad and added salmon to it. I did not leave a crumb on my plate. I'd love to come back in the future because this really is a nice spot for date night, or just to have a cocktail with friends.

Dominican Dove Ceviche, chicken Black N Blue Wings, Apple egg rolls, steak frites, pork chops

The food was absolutely phenomenal. We had the Dominican Dove ceviche, wings and crab dip to start and each appetizer was better than the last. Then we had the steak frites and the pork chop and each bite was delicious. The potatoes that come with the pork chops are so good! And that sauce that comes with both the steak and the pork chops is finger licking good. We thought we wouldn't have room for dessert but made room for the delicious crème brûlée and the apple egg rolls!!! Chef Winston Thomas is bringing the heat with all of these new dishes! Murphy our server was very friendly and welcoming. And so patient because there were so many great dishes on the menu, we couldn't make a decision right away. Great ambiance. Great food. Great vibes!

The food is ok. The drink selection is stellar. I generally meet people for drinks. Their bar menu needs work.

Our soup was enhanced by crispy pardons and truffle oil. My choice for a main was Zuppa de Pesce. It was an astounding heaping array of jumbo shrimp and in shell delights of a lobster tail, muscles, and claws in a fresh tomato broth over linguine. I wond up taking a third of it home. My dinner company were equally pleased with their seared scallops over risotto, and chicken milanese. We shared a truly wonderful tracksuit. The first time I went it was a Tuesday night and it was a calm atmosphere. The wings were a good size and overall the food was good and the service was decent. The price is a bit expensive for wings. I recommend the smokehouse burger, it is very heavy but flavorful. The second time it was a complete disaster. It was a Sunday afternoon. Waitress was MIA majority of the time and it was so loud you couldn't hear the person next to you. The food: I ordered fried chicken and not only was it RAW but even the breading lacked flavor. Safe to say I didn't finish it. Person I was with got the French dip and it was BAD. No flavor. Edit: I let this review sit in my drafts to come back in a few and see if we ever decided to go back or even mentioned going back. Nope! We are all the way good!

Add hot sauce to the Mac & cheese for more flavor. Overall had a solid meal and for the price, you can't get that deal in many places. I highly recommend Bailey's if you're in the mood for good bbq with chill vibes without breaking the bank. * 4.5 Stars * BBQ sauce available upon request * Parking on premise

As should be obvious, Barley is a bar on the river next to the Marina in Tarrytown. It's by commuter parking which is kind of a pain in the butt. Whole place is outside, so it is a rather dependent. It's also not a yacht club or something, so expect no frills. Bartenders are friendly just the same. Not the cleanest tap lines, however plenty of good bottle and drink options. Prices are higher than they should be however not unreasonable. Lots of tables however they do get snatched up quick; luckily the bar itself is nice. Food is of the greasy spoon variety. If you get French fries or something like that, you'll be happy. They don't have a Michelin star (nor should they) so don't get too ambitious. Plenty of fine options for lunch. They have live music a lot, and the performers are pretty good. Want to see a bunch of old white people dancing? This is your spot. My toddler led us here, literally following the music from the playground across the water, and we had a great time. Very enjoyable place overall that is greater than the sum of its parts. Just come chilled out and you'll enjoy it.
