Great place with a Cheer's like atmosphere. Friendly staff, and extremely good food. The wings are marvelous. The aroma alone will have you drooling like a Pavlov experiment. The Parmesan garlic are my favorite. The place boasts an outdoor seating area as well with a dart board outside just in case one might be a little indoor skittish. There is a bar area and high tables if you want to catch the game or if you would much rather a booth or dining setting there is a dining area that is separated from the bar area. Having never come here to have a cocktail or two, I'm absolutely now under the impression that this is a place to drink at, not eat at. Sometimes "bar first' food can be pretty decent (Star Tavern in Orange, NJ comes to mind), but this is unfortunately not that. Any calories I consume here in the future will be sipped. I ordered lunch for pickup this past Thursday. It was a cold and rainy afternoon so something carby in the pasta family seemed appealing. I opted for the Sizzling Shrimp Pasta ($18.99), which featured penne pasta (one of my faves) in creamy garlic sauce with what was identified as "toasted French bread." The pasta itself was okay - cooked decently and while the sauce was predictably on the heavy side, also okay. I ate about half the dish, including the shrimp (a little sparse but honestly I can't remember the last time I thought a shrimp pasta dish didn't go cheap on the shrimp - the star is always the pasta whether you like it or not). Would I get it again based on that? Eh. Probably not, especially with the higher price point, which would be competitive if the dish itself was a better overall quality but even with my limited experience in this area I know I can get better bang for my buck. And while I did put the leftovers in the fridge, I wasn't interested in eating it the next day. The so-called French bread was literally the worst bread accompaniment I've ever had. Not an exaggeration. Based on appearance, they seemed to be going for kind of a garlic bread vibe with the seasoning. The bread itself was incredibly stale - it tasted like it was a week old, if not older. I had a co-worker sample it, who immediately agreed with me. The top had a little bit of flavoring but the bottom was completely neglected (didn't even seem toasted, which is bizarre) so most of your bite was just plain stale bread. The only positive is that it was so unappealing that I only wasted the calories on the single bite. Huge miss. The only positive (and some would argue this is more important than the food quality - debatable) was that my brief interaction with two staffers when I came to pick up the food was very pleasant. There was a young woman behind the bar who was cheerful and addressed me by name (they had it from the pick-up order), which I always think is a classy, professional touch that doesn't happen enough, and the fellow from the back who gave me my order and handled the financial transaction was chipper as well. I'd consider at least coming back for a drink based on that one- or two-minute exchange, so they're at least hiring good people service-wise. I honestly can't say the same though for the kitchen area. read more

Was genuinely surprised at the great level of bar food offered here. Most sports bars with dark wood and pub fare are normally meh and three star worthy. The food here was slamming tho. We did the bang bang shrimp were lightly coated and nice zest to them. Pork shank wings were a complete shocker and delish fest!! Can we housemate chips that didn't have too much flavor but were perfect e the spinach and artichoke dip. I pass this place literally 4-5 times a week and keep saying I should try it again. I went to lunch with my son and the place is very appealing on the inside. Has a fairly large menu that has plenty of choices. The App. sampler was a true winner in both size and taste. We had 3 different lunch specials and all were fantastic. The waitress was knowledgeable and friendly, and everything was hot and fresh. I am a fan and suggest it. Only downfall is the limited parking. Lunch was okay for parking, dinner can be tough to find a spot but well worth it read more

They offered a good craft beer bottle selection and a less diverse selection beers on tap. As for the food, I tried the "pork wings" that everyone seemed to like but they were just not for me. Really didn't translate well for take out, chips were really soggy and the meat was not too flavorful (it's how it's prepared in the south without BBQ sauce). What a great place! I do not understand the three star rating. Food was good--vegetarian burger patty option and a couple cheesy pastas including an artichoke mac and cheese, plus all their fried stuff is great--the batter they use isn't too thin and has its own good flavor, so the fried stuff (onion rings, jalepeno poppers) is crunchy without being bready or bland. The service was very fast and our waitress was very attentive. It's a sports bar but not overwhelmingly so; there were plenty of families and the TVs were on mute (though there were a couple sports fans not on mute, but in an endearing and reasonable way). It looks like they have an outside but it is just for smokers and drinking--apparently in NY you can't serve food in a smoking area so smokers at bars drink on an empty stomach? The Copper Still has turned the front parking area into an al fresco dining area during the age of COVID so if you're not quite ready for indoor dining, you're in luck. However, they have indoor seating as well. Staff is friendly and food is consistently good. I've never been unhappy with anything I ordered there. Had the lunch special today which was breaded chicken and mozzarella on a brioche roll which was very tasty and I love their battered fries. I brought my mom home a Cobb salad which she said was delicious. And don't forget, this is also a bar and the bartenders are skilled and can make whatever you enjoy. I went with my friend a few days after they opened. It was very nicely re-done inside. Heavy wood tables and equally heavy solid chairs. I ordered the flank steak with mashed and veggies. It did not take too long for the food to come out. Less then 8 minutes. Everything looked good. But upon tasting the vegetables they had an odd taste. I thought it was just too much butter and seasoning. But they were clearly not very fresh. The mashed side was small and clearly from a mix. In addition the potato's were just luke warm. The steak was cooked medium as ordered. But was kind of hard to cut and not the best grade of meat. My friend voiced his displeasure with the vegetables. They did bring out 2 plates with more vegetables. They were billed as "Fresh from the kitchen" Wile slightly better. They still were not up to snuff. It appeared that our meals (Friend got the same dish as I) were just heated up not freshly made. I looked and see that this location is one of a small chain. Looks like their main thing is to be a bar. Food on this visit is clearly an afterthought. I hoped for better, as the restaurant is just around the corner from my home. One of my favorite places in North Rockland. The drinks are good. Happy Hour has great pricing! Food is very good. Gets crowed but it's nice with so many regulars. They made a fantastic patio with tables, heater and TV's. Great on a cool night out a nice night. I decided to try their food for the very first time and I only live 100 yards away.I was in the mood for baby back ribs and basically the only place around here that has ribs. The ribs were about 16 bucks but came with 2 sides so I picked mashed potatos and onion rings for sides.Mashed potatos and onion rings were fine, no complaints. The 1/2 rack of ribs was a decent serving but they were aas overdone and tough as shoe leather. I threw them in the garbage after attempting to eat the first one. I could not believe an employee actually put these ribs in an actual order. They should have been thrown away. I also ordered the tortellini dish which was really excellent with the sauce it comes with. That I would recommend and the tortellini is the only reason why I am not giving a 1 star rating. When I moved to this area I was looking for a bar where I could be a regular and see familiar faces and feel comfortable and this is definitely that spot for me! I've met so many cool people and the employees are all crazy friendly and attentive. The prices are competitive, the specials are always changing up and the drinks are great. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because the first time I came here I ordered the bbq food and it's not good. I am a huge bbq snob though so I'm definitely biased with that. The food arrived 5 minutes after we ordered!!! How do you get your food that fast??? When it is precooked. MW burger that fast? Steak was dry and tough, veggies overcooked, and cold mashed potato.
