I've been with Progress Residential since 2018 and it has been a hellaciously bad three years. I've always tried to work with the company and they've done the exact opposite every opportunity given. I remember upon move in my father came over to look over the house with me, we have two double doors in the back. My dad grabs the door while locked, bolted and everything and the door opens right up no problem. I have a technician over one day fixing a leak in the dishwasher so I tell him about the doors, I kid you not this man goes out to his truck and comes back with a hammer and nails. HE NAILS THE DOUBLE DOORS SHUT, NAILS THEM SHUT! THE DOORS. I could not believe my eyes... While this technician was also fixing the dishwasher this day he gets under there and pulls out two budlight lids, I ask him where he got them. They were holding the dishwasher in place and he laughed about it... I could not believe it, I could not believe the shape of this house and this was the first year. The first couple months until I got some extra money to fix it I would try to hang my towels up on the towel rack and the whole rack along with the towels would fall.. Even if I happened to walk into the towel rack it would just fly off the wall. It was incredible really. The guest bathroom was another great story, the towel rack fell off first week living there and was off for about a year due to how thin the wall was. The hole caused by whatever technician put it in was huge, we finally sealed it and moved the towel rack up some to the point in which it's finally sort of sturdy. In the master bedroom we have two pocket doors as well, not once in my entire three years have either of those doors locked, on top of not locking the pocket door has never been hooked up and just would drag across the floor, I also had a technician come to fix that and it broke again and again over the course of three years. Completely useless. If you wanna break into my house as well, come on in! Not one of the windows lock except for the front window that is sealed shut by the technician who "fixed" the pocket door. Within the last six months I had to pay 2 $700 water bills, I had a guy come out to see if anything was leaking because $700!!! You know? Theres a hundred other things I'd rather do with $700 but nope, Progress once again made us pay for them. The technician comes at 11am when I'm not home although he was scheduled between 1-5. He sends in a message stating that I wasn't home and he couldn't check the house. About a month later after paying these $700 water bills I received a $70 bill stating that I missed the visit although he came out of the scheduled time. I emailed Danica Rivera who fought with me over it and was extremely rude doubting he came out of the scheduled time but what bothered me most was she sent me the $70 before even checking out the situation or what happened although she realized she was wrong and sent the $70 credit back to us. Recently, we had a REALLY windy night. Tree branches flying all over the place, chairs flying around the backyard, it was windy. I wake up the next morning to get my mail, I see that the front window has a huge crack in it, I message them informing them and they tell me ITS MY RESPONSIBILITY TO FIX IT. Once again, could not believe my ears. I went through the lease after this and found this piece of the lease stating they'd fix things that counted as an "act of god" meaning branch through window. A guy gives me a call once I send this out to his technician, this guy was a complete dunce, has no idea what he's talking about.. everyone in the office is telling him what to say, I can hear them in the background. On top of hearing them in the background, I hear a woman's voice say "there's no picture of the branch through the window!! Is there?! wheres the branch?" as if I'm lying to them about what happened! I get a text at 7pm asking if the technician could come the next morning at 9am, I responded saying "Hey, no. I'm not available at all today. I also never got a message back stating whether it would cost me anything, my lease states it wouldn't." The next day, I get a text from my sister while I'm at work stating someone is there replacing the window and now I have no idea if its my responsibility or not but knowing this company that owns almost my entire neighborhood with endless amounts of money I know they'll do the right thing for them and make me pay for it! Woo! Go Progress Residential! I don't care if it's the nicest house on the market, do NOT rent from Progress. Do everything in your power to not rent from Progress, they don't care about people! They are careless and money hungry pricks. read more
