I strongly recommend AGAINST Texas Physical Therapy Specialists. In my lone session there, I did a…read morerange of motion exam and literally two simple band exercises and they billed me almost $500. The exercises weren't anything you can't find on YouTube and I didn't feel like the range of motion exams even pinpointed the issues I was having. Honestly, $50 for the session would have been a more reasonable bill for the service that I received. Additionally, I had issues with an additional session being scheduled without my knowledge and a billing issue for which I couldn't get proper explanation. It's just a disaster from start to finish, in my experience. I've had physical therapy before at other providers and had a much better experience at far more reasonable prices.

Not a big fan of this place.. I went one time and paid a copay and then a month later got a bill…read morefor $60 as well. It looks like they tried to charge my insurance company $360 and they only covered $300, or maybe they wouldn't pay any of it and so they adjusted the price down to $60 because they knew $360 was a ripoff. I don't understand why these places can't just charge what they charge and stop trying to milk our healthcare system for all it's worth. They're part of the problem. They also use the worst smelling cleanser I've ever smelled. Fabuloso or something. Awful chemicals. The doctor was nice though.

Professional, friendly, respectful, attentive, and courteous. My physical therapist, Jacob Martin,…read moreevaluated an ongoing problem that was causing me to lose sleep every night and... fixed it. He was very careful to explain his approach to me, including the importance of trying one potential fix at a time. He constantly monitored my pain levels and taught me about what I needed to change to get better as well as how my body works. I gained self understanding and awareness that will serve me well in the future. Their hours are broad - the earliest therapist starts at 7:15, while others come in at 9am and stay until 6. The reception and staffing, on the other hand, like almost all doctors' offices, was less than stellar. They're very regular about calling patients the day before to remind them about their upcoming appointment, which is great. I did have some problems with billing, however, including an attempted double charge, and the receptionist who said my referral "had not arrived" when it was sitting in their inbox. Their computer system seems problematic. The experience was still a positive one. If my problem ever recurs, or if I have a new concern that this therapist can treat, I will certainly come back, and would recommend him.

I sure am glad that Wendy is a nice lady and is okay to talk to. Otherwise, I'd swear that she…read morehates me and is some sort of sadist. Ouch! But, I know it's for my own good. Located not actually in SNW, but in the building next door, this physical therapy facility seems pretty well equipped for the treatment of all sorts of injuries. Lots of gym-like equipment, some weighted balls, private curtained treatment areas, a cool computer machine with lots of attachments for simulation of different life skills, ultrasound machine to deliver deep heat, and hot/cold packs to alleviate pain/relax muscles and whatnot. The only thing missing, I think, is a pool and hot tub. Wendy is an occupational/hand therapist , so she's been working on/with me for the rehabilitation of my elbow. Our sessions always start with a hot pad on my elbow, then Wendy manipulates my elbow into positions that it certainly doesn't want to go into. Which sucks. A lot. Again, for my own good. After that, she likes to mix it up, which I like, because I'd get bored with the same thing time after time after time. She has a pretty decent knowledge of how my insurance works and is very conscientious about the number of visits I have remaining, making the most out of each one. On the down side, Wendy is a REALLY busy lady, so scheduling can be a bit of a hassle. I've taken to scheduling a couple months out, knowing that I can cancel, if I miraculously get better faster than anticipated. Who am I kidding, I'd expected to be way better than I currently am at this point. No more timeline anticipation here. On the up side, with Wendy's help, I've made considerable progress in my recovery. When I first started, I couldn't extend my arm past a 90 degree angle. I don't have full extension yet, but it's much, much better. We're working on flexion which has been a torturous process. It'll get there. Eventually. AND I CAN WASH MY HAIR WITH BOTH HANDS NOW!
