I usually get an American or Italian sub and they tend to be excellent, well-stuffed with the good meats, and on nice firm sub rolls. A reviewer claimed the rolls are old but I've never once gotten a stale one. It's possible the reviewer confused good crunchy Italian rolls with day-old rolls. As a connoisseur of good Italian bread, I look for rolls that are crunchy outside and firm inside and DiCara's are exactly that. They have a friendly staff who make the subs very quickly and never make a mistake on the order. The store has a lot of other food, for example, olive salads and tuna salad which my Mom liked. Also sometimes, you can find various cuttings left over from when the salami sticks near their end sealed up in plastic. Yum! They also have a number of imported products (not all from Italy). I like their imported pastas such as the big Rigatoni and Fusilli. They have some spices too--I always get the Rosemary from Cento. Oddly, they also have an excellent variety of potato chip brands--Utz, Cape Cod, Wachusett, Zapp's, Dirty, and sometimes Wise. Finally, they carry some nice cupcakes & desserts from nearby bakeries.

The steak was very tough and hard to chew - almost like the tips had been cooked earlier and then reheated for my order. Everything just seemed greasy. We also did not enjoy the raspberry turnover or yellow cream cannoli's we got for dessert. Maybe it was us or maybe it was the food but I will never go there again. We are not food snobs by any stretch of the imagination, and I rarely will say anything bad about a restaurant experience but we ended up going to Augusta's which is just a little bit down the road, for chicken just to erase this experience from our mouths. I know a lot of people will swear by their steak tip subs and that is great but it's just not for me anymore.

Would recommend this place if you want locally butchered meat.

We used Professors Market for our daughters christening yesterday and I cannot recommend them enough! Lisa was so attentive to what we wanted, she took so much time out of her busy schedule to check back in on our order over the past few weeks and make any changes we requested- she even tweaked the order for us last minute when we wanted to change the amount of some of the salads. The food was incredibly fresh, all of our guests were RAVING about it! We ordered the southwest power salad, edamame salad, pasta salad, chicken salad, turkey roll ups and vegetable and hummus roll ups for about 30 people. Everything was so fresh and delicious. Meals are yummy and if you pay attention to how you reheat (put things like chicken nuggets in air fryer, not microwave) and what you freeze (don't freeze meals that include items that don't freeze well (duh!)), you'll be very happy! I will continue to get clean eatz for easy lunches and a few dinners per week since I cook but I don't loooove to cook. The owner of the Danvers location is an amazing and friendly local, so you can feel good about supporting the business while you eat right!

Ya know, I once navigated to this place on accident before? Yeah. Still not sure what my GPS was…read moredoing that day. Because I normally go to the one in Salem. But on this day, I thought to myself, "Self, I really hate making that busy-as-hell left turn on South Broadway in Salem. What if we took a journey to the Andover location instead?" And so it was. I enter this cozy little restaurant carefully tucked against a slightly submerged parking garage. Although, I probably shouldn't say "little" because the interior was noticeably larger than its Salem counterpart. It's also noisy AF in there when it gets busier than a New York subway. So naturally, I ordered my usual to-go (a Country Classic with an extra egg and hashbrowns for those who don't know). Only it wasn't *quite* ready on time. Which, to be fair, is kind of a minor point. Thing is, they have to shout your name whenever your order is finally ready. This in and of itself can prove to be quite the challenge when bellowing atop the already roaring crowd of customers impeding the otherwise accessible pickup shelves. I'll do my best to describe the interior since I wasn't really able to take pictures. But try to imagine an L-shaped dining area with the longest part hosting a row of countertop seats facing the windows. Beyond that sits a rather modest dining area with a few more tables. Next to that sits the gender neutral restrooms. It's strange and cramp, particularly when the place is packed tighter than a sardine can. Sufficed to say, I'm not much a fan of the interior design here. Being the partial recluse that I am, I offer the following best practice for a place so riotous: mobile order that shiz, cuh! Seriously. I had to put in my noise cancelling earbuds to appease my misophonia. The good news is....the food is still awesome. The eggs? Creamier than crème fraîche. Taters? Eh, I don't why...but these seemed way more seasoned the very first time I tried them. Fortunately, they actually pair rather well with their refined version of ketchup. The bacon? Well...let's just say I wish it were served well done. Not sure if I'm able to request that. But I'll scope out my options next time and get back to you all. That's it though. Nice place, WAY easier to get to than its Salem counterpart, but a bit too cramp and noisy for my taste which means....I'll likely ever dine in here. It's all good though, because I'm still giving Crack'd Kitchen & Coffee in Andover 4 Country Classics with all the fixins out of 5.
