I can't say what PSG is like long term since I was only with them for about 2 months before finding a regular, non temp position but I wanted to write a review because I had a fairly good experience with them and would consider going back if I ever needed a job again. I worked with Rachel Morin and found her to be very energetic and enthusiastic about her job. While Rachel and PSG did not end up finding me my current position, they did a fine job helping me find temp assignments and I do believe that they were working to find me a good permanent placement. I really believe that she did the best job she could for me. Also, their internal communication system is really easy to use which is awesome. The are a few reasons why I'm not giving Rachel and PSG the fourth and fifth star: - They aren't the best at clear communication. - I don't believe that they are aggressive enough for their clients. I'd heard great things about PSG and went to them when I was out of a job. I worked with PSG to help find a job and in a few weeks I was contacted for a temporary position with one of their biggest clients. It was near my house and paid well I was excited. I was good at the work and my position was extended multiple times to replace someone who they'd sent who had some family issues. The other person I worked with was also from the same agency and left without a word to anyone. It took sometime before I realized I was being sexually harassed by the only man in the department. The other women in the department knew he's a piece of shit but no one's said anything. The last few days I was there, I spoke up on the record. It was humiliating, empowering and terrifying. It was also reported to PSG, I went over it with them and was told I'd be kept up to date. Not a word. I lost my job and reached out to the main person I was setup with and the person who got me the job. Nothing. Great bunch of folks over there. read more

Look, here's the thing: finding a job in Boston is quite tough. We all know this, which is why we're reading these reviews on staffing agencies. For me, Professional Staffing Group (PSG) definitely delivered on their promise of finding a job in the field I wanted. I went into for an interview on a Wednesday morning and was offered a position by the end of the day. Mind you, the position was barely above minimum wage, but I was happy to be working. When that contract ended, I was promptly offered another position that paid similarly but promised to offer longer employment opportunities. On my second contract, I worked as a temp for over 6 months. While I can complain about the pay (and I did!), the bigger problem is that temping for that long can make one feel resentful towards the staffing agency, the company you're working for and any other factor that led you into this position (both figuratively and literally). When I expressed this to my rep at PSG that I needed some sort of support in either getting hired full time or finding another position, I was promised help that never materialized. This is where PSG's greatest failing is: their follow up support. Once you've been put on contract, you're no longer important or worthwhile to them. He rarely responded to my e-mails and he never returned my calls until I dramatically quit. I might recommend this place to people just out of college who have degrees that are not immediately financially viable, but for everyone else I suggest trying another agency such as KNF&T, Monument Staffing, Beacon Hill Staffing, Randstad or Staffing Insight, especially if you have at least a couple months experience in the workforce. read more

Negative reviews are true. Took time out of my day because they asked me to (rather than having a phone screening first). Spoke with one of their recruiters, they showed me around and I left. Then they sent me a survey on how satisfied I was....before they even did anything! It's a numbers game they play so they can get people in the system and have positive reviews. I honestly don't know why PSG has gotten so many bad reviews. It's a temp agency - you should go in expecting this. I worked with Juliana Molina and Dana Smith who were both fantastic and specialized in higher education opportunities. They were very sweet and I was in contact with Dana pretty much on a daily basis with new opportunities until I was placed. She submitted my resume for about 6 or 7 different opportunities before I finally got an interview and was placed. She was very supportive and even coached me through the whole interviewing process. This is just my experience. I had finished my grad degree in a less than employable major/field of study, and guess what? Could not find work. So, in MAY, I decided to use several temp agencies, including PSG. I actually used three at a time. I suggest you do the same and use more than one temp agency because it opens up more opportunities.. I found some jobs I was interested on PSG's website and on Craigslist. I think I sent like 5 emails out to different individuals about various postings, and submitted my resume online via their website. Got a call from them to come interview about two weeks later. I went in (did the application online first, and then did the computer test beforehand, too). I wanted to impress, so I wore a suit. I met with several individuals, one person who does just temp and temp to hire stuff, and one person who does direct-hire stuff. The next day I got a call to do a job at local university. It was only a four day gig, but it was helpful. It was $15/hour. During this time, I got another call about a full time position. I did ended up interviewing for this executive assistant position (two rounds, writing samples, etc.) and did not get it. They also contacted me about another position in a large financial firm downtown, also an administrative position. This position was temporary but long term with no possibility of becoming permanent, i.e. forever temp. I turned this position down. They also contacted me about some work I was not at all interested in, like sales, so I turned that down, too. Okay, so then a few months passed by, and I was using another temp agency which had also found me a job at a local university. I was interviewing for two/three jobs during this time that I had applied to on my own, but got rejected for all of them. AND THEN I called up my recruiter person at PSG and she immediately sent me on two interviews for temp to permanent which both made me offers. Things to note: 1. I am older. I am not straight from undergrad and have at least four years of office experience. So, I have some employable skills. 2. When you are temping the pay is low. They have been about 13-15 for administrative positions. But they vary. The highest I heard was like $20 which is high. They take a bit out of your paycheck. So, it is not a lot, but it's better than nothing. However, if you do get hired full time, they pay increases dramatically because you become salaried! 3. Say you want to do it all: temp, temp to perm, direct hire, short term things, long term things, etc. It just give you options. 4. BE HONEST. If you don't want to work in a non-profit, tell them. If you see yourself working in a corporate setting, tell them. I didn't want to work in sales, and I told them, like right away. 5. They're a business. They are not your mom. OVERALL, my experience with them has been great. I have found out about at least six jobs from them, most of them being temp to hire positions. I worked with a few other temp firms in Boston, and I had the best experience with PSG.So, they were actually really helpful. There are NOT there to find you your dream job, but they do have connections and can find you a really god job. BEING UNEMPLOYED SUCKS!!!!! PSG really helped me. read more

I've been to PSG twice in my 10 year career. They did absolutely nothing to help me. I walked in to a sea of people waiting; they shoved a form into my hands for me to fill out with all of the normal stuff - past job history, references, salaries, etc. An hour later I had a 15 minute interview with one of the rudest people I have ever met, who said she would call me, but I never heard from her. This happened TWICE. Never again will I go back there. I suggest Kennison Staffing, Bay Shore Staffing or Next Phase Search. These are smaller staffing firms, but great people who will always keep you on their radar. Don't get lost in PSG's sea of unemployed people!! read more

I see this companies ad's all over town so I thought I would give them a shot in my job search. Well, I emailed them my resume on a job that I was a perfect fit for and then called them the next day to follow up. Well, I got no call back so I called back again and left another message, still no call back. I waited a few days and then tried their chat feature which was a nightmare. It took them forever to come online and they just told me to resend my resume to this one recruiter and she would be in touch with me. Well, it's been 6 days since I did that and still no word. After reading all the reviews here and with my own experiences, I would never recommend this place and they should be reported to the BBB. Not one, but two jobs! I moved to Boston about a month ago and interviewed with PSG shortly afterwards. I was interviewed quickly and then given a chance to see their operations on the third floor. Now, I was hesitant because (as other people have commented) they are in a business and need to make money, so their interest in getting you a job is never going to appear altruistic. But if you accept that, the experience was very professional and the staff were truly friendly. They got me an interview the next day and I began working there the next week. I called them later and said I was looking for another part time job. They had a few places and here the wait was a little bit longer, probably about three weeks. BUT, that had nothing to do with PSG and a lot more to do with the new company, who in the end decided to not to create the position they had been advertising. Last thing. PSG helps you get a foot in the door, but you still have to bring your A-game. Come over-prepared for interviews, do your own research, bring out every ounce of professionalism you have. There are very few jobs out there right now, so make sure you interview for positions you are at least 80% qualified for, with experiences to back up each of the job requirements. I know I did, and now I have two part time jobs that support my living in Boston. I am very grateful to PSG for getting me those opportunities, in a very scary world of job hunting, they offered a very great tool. But in the end, I was still the one who got my jobs. read more

These one-star reviews are pretty obnoxious to see so I thought I would give my two cents. If you are looking for a job, this is the place to go. I was unemployed for about a month after getting fired from a "permanent" position at a big corporate dream company that was, frankly, awful and decided that 2 weeks was enough time to gauge that my enthusiasm was not up to par, but I digress. I sent out my resume to various posts on Craigslist and within a week of PSG getting in touch with me I had 3 different agents call me to give me offers and I eventually took one that pays fairly well at a company that is actually pretty cool and has so far been a great experience. Honestly, this company does what they say they do, they place people in jobs. You know the whole cliche "beggars can't be choosers"? Well, the current economy embodies that pretty heavily and I am personally very grateful that I did not have to go through another two month long hiring process to get my current job where I am more happy than I was before. To be completely frank, this company wants to work with you and what you have to offer. Some people are going to be harder to place and permanent jobs are in nature much more competitive. So basically, PSG is a nice stepping stone to getting a job if what you want is a job. read more

I have had a great experience on most of my assignments that I have been sent on. The team here is so welcoming and assistive in addressing my needs and wants in a full time position. The days I have spent in the office haven't been the most exciting, but the jobs I have been sent on have been worthwhile and deserve a round of applause for how much I've learned. After reading several of the negative reviews, I guess I can understand why people may have negative feeling sabout PSG, but I guess I would question what their goals actually were... I can only speak for my own experience: After moving across the country, I had no employment and needed something to pay the bills while I continued looking for work as an artist. After emailing PSG on Friday, I had a response and an Assessment scheduled for Monday. After the assessment -practically DURING!- I had employment starting the next day which kept me working for the next three months, at which point I left to work on my artistry. I came back Six months later, and they had me placed within 36 hours..to a wonderful office where I remained on and off for the following year, allowing me to continue my artistry.... I understand that people may be frustrated with the agency-the pay is lower than some of the smaller agencies, but the volume of work is significantly higher. For someone looking for positive people who are supportive, regularly answer calls, and help to successfully negotiate higher wages, yet understand and encourage outside life goals and pursuits, I highly recommend this agency. read more

No... just no. I'm an older candidate, and have just returned to the US after 15 years abroad. I was left with the creepy feeling that my recruiter thought I was a joke. Never a single call or referral from them. I called a company the recruiter had mentioned in the interview and said "XXX said you might have something available". I immediately got a conference phone call with the PSG recruiter and the PSG company president on a conference call interrogating me about it, as if I had done something wrong. The whole experience was quite unsettling. Since then, I have signed up with a few other agencies who treat me much more professionally. I suggest Robert Half instead - they are courteous, professional, and put serious effort into help you find work. read more

They start off strong by talking the talk and being friendly but I've been signed up since May and I haven't had a single interview through them. I've had dozens through other staffing agencies. They are not very responsive to my communications. When there is any form of communication it's like pulling teeth trying to get basic things across to them. My experience with PSG was a major disappointment. Having recently moved to Boston from the west coast, I began my job search using the usual internet engines (e.g. Craigslist, Monster, etc.). I frequently came across postings from PSG that seemed a good fit, and finally decided to apply and see what it was like to work with a recruiting firm. I was called in for an interview the next day, and it went well. I chatted with my would-be recruiter for 30 minutes or so, took a few 'Office' tests, and walked away feeling confident that PSG would be an asset in my job search. After all, my recruiter promised weekly calls to update me on the progress that his 5-person team would be making, and assured me that I was a highly 'marketable' candidate. The only problem was, he never once called me directly. I called him a few times in the first few weeks to see if there was any news, but he only called me back once, rattling off a list of hollow assurances that amounted to 'keep at it'. I even asked if I should apply directly to other PSG postings online because there were so many that seemed applicable to my skill set. He told me to forward any interesting postings to him (naturally) so that he could get my resume in asap. Over the next 4 weeks, I sent him probably 30+ postings that I was qualified for, repeatedly asked for updates via phone and email, and never once heard back from him. Only later did I realize that the 'postings' were fake, designed to lure in candidates. During that time, I began working with 4 other recruiting firms that not only delivered on their promises, but went above and beyond by prepping me for interviews, following up on my general well being during the hunt, and providing progress reports on the job market. The best part was the email I got a few weeks back asking how my experience with PSG rated now that I'd found employment. Only thing is, I was still unemployed; PSG mistook their absolute lack of interest in placing me for a job well done. Bottom line: PSG was easily the worst recruiting agency I've worked with, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. read more

PSG if full of Sales people and cattle call. I got a call yesterday from PSG, the person I spoke to sounded like a sales person trying to sell something. She was annoying and only cared about getting me in for an interview ASAP whooaa hold up, no I can not make it tomorrow at 9am. She was actually bullying me into committing to get in there asap. I explained to her I would call her back in the morning, however if there is a position in my field that you have open I will make it work. After we hung up my stomach said "do NOT work with these people". I got a call today and told her that I will gracefully bow out of working with PSG. Now, here I am reading all of these horrific posts and adding to it. Honestly, this company is NO GOOD. We are professionals looking for our next move. Do not waste your time. Went in for interview with a job recruiter. When I arrived there, the person I was scheduled to meet wasn't available so I was re-assigned with another rep. He was professional dressed and smooth talking. Took my info and that was that. I had to ask who I was working for as I didn't know this agency. Reluctantly, he took me upstairs to their main floor of people in a room of people working in desks stacked next to each other talking on phones and in front of computers. About 3-4 weeks went by and nothing happened until a voicemail was left asking me to contact them if I needed any assistance. I called them and got my rep's "partner". She was downright rude as she was lecturing me on how I should go about looking for a job and that I should literally "share" my contacts with them. They didn't have any job listings available (in finance/accounting)! Got a follow-up voicemail on the same old thing... call them if I need assistance from them! Never heard from them again afterwards! The job market and economy are tough but you don't need to deal with bad recruiters like this! STAY AWAY from these people! Go elsewhere!! read more

Maybe my experience was a little different than some because I used to be a real estate agent. I feel like I understand the job market of 2011 because I saw the housing market of the late 1990's. I was impressed by Sean Pulera and his coworker Josh. They were professional, had a lot of energy and they were straight with me about how you had to respond right away, be enthusiastic in the job interview, etc. Any staffing/temp agency's standard operating procedure is to keep a full "bench". By that I mean they want to have plenty of people willing and waiting to go to a job interview THIS afternoon. They advertise generic jobs that they don't have today because they want to have already interviewed and tested people to call the moment a job comes in. It's a competitive world. read more

First, I want to say that I went to staffing agencies with realistic expectations, knowing that their job is NOT to find you a job; it's to fill vacancies for the clients with qualified candidates. They are an extra set of eyes for you and if you don't happen to land a job then you wasted an hour or so filing out paperwork. Despite what I just said, I went to every other staffing agency except for PSG until 3 months into my search because of the terrible reviews. A friend of a friend told me to go to PSG because they found her a job in higher ed (which I was looking for). Let me tell you, I'm so glad I listened. About a week after I met with someone from the direct hire and temp end, I was called and sent on an interview at MIT. I didn't get it because they hired an internal candidate, but PSG (Rachel specifically) was great about calling to prepare me for the interview and calling after to check how it was and update me on the status. I also took up the offer to take an informational interview at MIT which was helpful. Not long after, Rachel called about a temp to perm position at a university which I accepted right away. After hitting it off with everyone, I was hired permanently after a few weeks and offered a great salary. That was in November and I'm still there, loving it, and so thankful for PSG for giving me that opportunity. Now your experience will probably be different if you are currently employed full time and cannot do temp work. But if you are like me, my advice is to be eager and take some temp opportunities. Also, don't wait around for these staffing agencies to call you. Reach out to them if they don't reach out to you and let them know how motivated you are to find a job. I have to say though, PSG was GREAT about calling me and keeping me informed of opportunities. The only reason I knocked off 1 star is because a job ad I responded to to get my name in their system was phony and the guy who called me initially said I was a perfect fit, that he would set me up on an interview, and other BS that wasn't true. Ok, before I get in to my personal experience with PSG, there are three things you need to remember when dealing with them. 1. They are not bad people or intentionally mean people, they are just doing their job. 2. They are a business and their main goal is making money. They make more money placing 1 person in multiple temp jobs than in 1 permanent job. That's just how it works. 3. They are a stepping stone. They are not your best friend or your fairy godmother. They are helping you get from point A (unemployment/bad job) to point B (a job). So don't read between the lines and assume point B is your dream job because it isn't. I started at PSG looking for a permanent job. A few months went by, I met with them and did 1 interview and nothing really panned out. Fast forward and I found myself unemployed and heading off to grad school in a different state in the fall so I called up my consultant and told him that things had changed and now I was open to do any temp job at all until I moved, and that's when my phone started to really ring.I did their guaranteed work program and was soon after placed in a job that I really liked. It paid $10 and hour which was more than my previous job and I got full time hours. It was semi-tedious work but I didn't mind it. Apparently the people I was working for liked what I was doing because they even extended my contract. After that job, I was placed at another similar job, paying the same but I was also getting overtime. It was a lot of work but the people were nice and I was able to pay the bills, no complaints. Before the job ended, I was placed in another job that will be my last job before I move. In this respect, PSG was great. I was constantly working and the jobs and people I was working with were all nice and I was able to pay my bills. Also, I've done a lot of new things that I can use to beef up my resume and met a bunch of people that I can use for references in the future. Now, I did have a few sketchy encounters with them but remember.... they're a business. The first, they sent me to an interview before which, they prepped me a little then after the interview called to ask me how it went including what I was asked, how I responded, and what they said to my responses, I told them... then they said there was someone else interviewing after me and I would hear back after that, which left me with the unpleasant feeling that they told the second person what I said to help them get the job. Another person I know had a similar experience but that's all I have to say about that. Then, I was up for a job with the temp I was currently working closely with that started after our current position ended. They interviewed us both and picked her, no biggie. She asked to take the weekend to think about it and I assume they said yes. The next day they called and offered me the job, when I asked them about the other temp, they said the other temp had turned the job down, which she hadn't. They told her the company wanted to move quickly to pick someone. What actually probably happened was they wanted to secure a person in the position quickly to make sure they got the commission. But again, they're a business and they're not your best friend so don't expect total honesty at all times. The third thing was that on an evaluation it asked how I would rate PSG and why. I basically said that I would recommend them for people looking for temp work because I had been fairly successful with that but if someone wanted a perm job, as I originally had, that I wouldn't recommend them so much because I never went on 1 interview for a permanent job with them. A week or so later my consultant called to confront me on this and basically gave me the company line that temp jobs are designed to open the door for permanent jobs and help you network and whatever. This may have been his way of saying that I simply wasn't very qualified for most of their perm jobs right now and might have better luck doing some temp work first. Who knows. It is what it is. TL;DR PSG is great if you want to network, have a job and possibly find permanent work but you have to be extremely flexible and just know that you're the only one that's truly looking out for your best interest at the end of the day. They're not bad people, they're just business-people doing their job which may come off as a bit cold or rude or whatever. Don't go to PSG expecting to find your dream job right off the bat. You won't and you'll be disappointed. Also, don't expect to rake in six figures working temp jobs. You won't and you'll be disappointed. From my experience almost all jobs are above $10 and you're very lucky to get $15 or higher. That's just how it is. And really... that's life. read more

The call-backs you receive after applying are from "sales assistants" who's job it is to collect your resume info and then inform you that the job you applied for is "indicative of the type of jobs we have," in other words, the job posting is fake. That's right; its NOT a real job posting. Like most staffing agencies, the money is in getting companies to bite on "their" candidates - as many as possible, whether or not the candidate is right for the job. read more

Things not to say to a candidate after she tells you her salary: 'Oh wow! You're an overachiever!' What the hell does that mean? Does that mean I do a good job and they pay me to do a good job? Well, than yes! I am. Or was the helium filled 12 year old on the other line, shocked that I made more than she did? Don't do it to yourself - the place is a joke. They have no jobs, if they did - they'd be able to tell who they're with. Legit recruiters/headhunters do to make sure you haven't been submitted already & they don't ask for your contacts at the places you recently applied to or have interviews with. read more

PSG is the exclusive recruiter for Wellington Asset Management, it seems that they may have outsourced some of their HR functions to them. I worked with PSG on a position at that firm that didn't end up working out, but they were professional throughout the process, kept me informed, and gave me good feedback from the employer on my interview (I had to meet with over 10 people). Based on some of PSG's other reviews it seems like it can a mixed bag depending on what kind of position you are going for. I would say that 3 out of the 4 people I worked with were excellent. PSG staffed me in a direct hire(permanent) job without even meeting with me. I was moving to Boston from CT and wanted an HR job. I was called from an agent telling me that she had an "HR Coordinator job" near Boston. Of course I was excited so I phone interviewed while on vacation and met with the company a week later. I got the job (which was great and exciting being a recent grad) but eventually found out that my job was really just an administrative assistant job. I believe they changed the name of the job just to get me interested in it (why otherwise would I be filing 40 yr. old files all day long?) This agency does not give you the one on one service you deserve and just want to use you to fill their job. I recommend going to Beacon Hill Staffing Group right up the hill. They are friendly and so much better than PSG. read more

I didn't even go to their office to interview, their first follow up phone call after my online inquiry turned me off right away from this place. Not only did the guy call me and leave me an incredibly impersonal voicemail, but he sounded straight off the streets and like he was reading off a piece of paper. Not only that but they now call me back every single day wanting me to come in even though I have told them I am no longer interested, and the voicemails get more and more ghetto everyday. This place is a joke. The post jobs on craigslist that DO NOT EXIST. I see the same job posted over and over...with slight wording changes and salary changes between 2-5K. I mark them as spam whenever I see them. I went in to meet with a recruiter re: a job that paid 50-55K. She was about 23 with a pierced nose, a face so made up she looked like a clown, and a snotty attitude. She basically told me that there was no way she could get me 50K and that I would be looking at 43K MAX. She said they look at your past salaries to determine what you are worth. Well I made 11K as a GRADUATE ASSISTANT while getting my Master's and she said that she had to factor that in. Nevermind that before I went to grad school I made 50K plus bonus. After grad school I taught for a year in a Midwestern University making 32K which, according to cost of living calculators, equates to 50K or so here. That was wayyyy over her head. She just couldn't comprehend cost of living differences with regard to base salary. Flashfoward---a week later I get a call from my 'recruiter' at PSG saying this company she represents (the same one she told me might be able to pay me 43K) wants to interview me. I told her no, I'm not interviewing for a position way under my baseline for salary. I told her I was working with another agency who got me several interviews with jobs paying in the mid 50s with bonus potential. Her response "Oh this job will definitely pay in the 50s." I said "You told me you thought I could get 43K from them." She fed me some garbage about how this company is thorough and has a special way of determining salary etc...and then basically said not to jump to conclusions and go to the interview and worry about the salary later. Oh yeah, and she would not send me a job description unless I committed to an interview. Right....I wasn't born yesterday. No thanks. RUN AWAY. RUN AWAY from PSG!! read more

Just Horrible! They post jobs that are not even available! They should be reported for false advertising! If there were minus stars PSG would get a minus 10. The staff there are rude and do not really care about finding you a job. Don't waste your time or money going into Boston with this disreputable agency. read more

These people called me and harrassed me so much that I finally had to tell them to stop calling. They continue to scam people with jobs that don't exist. They just post fake jobs everywhere. How do they stay in business? I'm so angry that I have to weed through their trash in order to find actual positions online. I want to lodge a complaint against them through the BBB. read more

This place is useless. I interviewed with them years ago and never heard anything. They are known for bringing in people to stock their list of people but I have never met anyone who has had a good experience with them. Years later they start calling me. I tell them I have been there before but they do not believe me. The girl on the phone is rude. She tells me I have know idea what I am talking about or how they operate which I do because I was a recruiter for a little over a year. They repeatedly call me not knowing we just spoke and I can not believe how rude they are. Literally terrible. Do not waste your time and go here. read more

While I was trying to transition careers, I met with PSG to explore long and short-term opportunities for employment. Though I was fairly pleasantly greeted, I found their service to ultimately be sorely disappointing. The staff at PSG at least superficially attempted to understand my wants, but they ultimately failed to find any placements that were remotely close. The one placement they did find for me involved a phone screen. You'd think something like that would be easy to coordinate, but the allotted time came and nobody called. I immediately called them to find out what happened and was redirected through several different people. Ultimately, I was told that there was a 'communication problem' and that they would be in touch to reschedule. Three weeks later, we were still talking about rescheduling the call and, in the meantime, I received several emails that were inadvertently sent to me regarding another candidate for the same position. Ultimately, I found a great job on my own, but several weeks after I started I got an email where PSG asked me to fill out a survey of the work they did. I was candid and told them that I was disappointed with their service. I even received an email soliciting feedback about the person immediately responsible for me, which I replied to in a similar manner. No follow-up, no feedback. PSG isn't professional. They're a meat market for jobs you're likely too good for. I'm sure the people there have decent intentions, but their management is terrible, they're all overworked, and they ultimately provide a product that is terrible. Don't go there, find another placement agency which will actually work for you and advocate on your behalf. read more

What a pointless waste of time! After reading the horrible reviews, I had pretty low expectations but after an initially productive first meeting with a nice guy, I started to think that maybe all those awful reviews got it wrong. They did not. PSG puts on a good first impression, pretending to listen to your needs and making you feel valued. The young man I met with talked at great length about his close connections to his main client (a company I actually wanted to work for). He even went as far as to contact the recruiter of the company while I was in the office. She wasn't available but he promised he would connect with her the next day. A week went by and I heard from no one. I finally received a call from the person I had initially met with, "checking in on my job search." I missed his call and reached his colleague instead who said he wanted to see how things were going. I was confused as I hadn't been contacted by PSG about any potential positions. I tried to get more information about the process (i.e. when are they going to start sending me opportunities??) but he was pretty vague and said they wanted to be a "resource" for the job hunt. I didn't quite get what he meant my that - your only job is to find me a job. If I want to vent to someone, I have friends for that. Another week went by and once again, nothing. I ended up finding a job on my own and called PSG to let them know I'd no longer need their "services." No one picked up so I left a voicemail saying I have an update about my job search....still haven't heard back (2 days later). Seriously - how hard is it to find job listings for an entry level HR position?? You're supposed to be the biggest staffing agency in the area. I'd strongly recommend going with someone else if you're relying on a service like this to find you a job. Yuck. read more

I had signed up with PGS in 2016, and I met with the recruiter Nicole C. in the Boston office/Financial District. From day one, Nicole has seldom return my emails of inquiry for an assignment. Today, I had enough, and reached out to the agency to complain, and ended up hanging up in frustration. Please do not waste your time with this agency!!!
