Very unprofessional when it comes to the nanny agency. Sara would send me emails about jobs, then I would reply saying that I'm interested because she's sending me them and then she doesn't reply. I've reached out three times with an updated resume and followed up and nothing. The least they can do is reply if she's no longer interested. AND she still sends me jobs, take me off the list if your going to ignore me. read more

I paid $3000 for a nanny placement fee, only to realize within a few weeks of this nanny working for me that there is no possible way they could have screened her properly. My mother who was visiting at the time found The nanny in the park several times with both my kids stopped in the stroller next to a bench while she talked on the phone. This agency never responded to my calls on the matter. I obviously let the nanny go pretty quickly but was never offered any remedy or apology from the agency. It was an overall very disappointing experience for me as a single (and working mom) especially after spending so much money on the agency alone. read more

I have been a household employee for over 20 years. Over the years I have used 3 prominent Boston agencies that specialize in placing employees in private settings. Less than 2 weeks ago I contacted Cass and Company, an agency I had never used in the past, and inquired about positions I'd seen online. I was immediately called, not emailed, and spoke to a lovely woman named Megan S. I was comfortable and found her very easy to talk to about my last experience and what I was looking for in my next placement, she obviously listened to me because she didn't once try and "sell" me a position that wasn't what I had specifically listed in my profile. The agency has a very long, detailed application as well as security forms that needed to be filled out and submitted prior to my file being sent to prospective employers, as soon as my paperwork was in, they began my search. I was in daily contact with Megan via email, any questions we had for each other were answered quickly as to not slow down the process. I was lucky enough to have a second interview with a family late on a Friday afternoon, I didn't expect to hear anything from Cass & Co until Monday but at 7:30pm I received an email from another employee of the agency, Sara C., asking questions about the position and gauging my interest. The next contact came on Saturday afternoon from Sara which was a phone call which I'd missed and then a text asking me to call her personal cell phone to discuss the offer. I can honestly say that I have never felt as though people were working so hard for me than I have this past 2 weeks. Megan and Sara made me feel as though I was their one and only client even though I know that to be untrue. I cannot recommend Cass & Co enough, the aspects of the negotiation process were completely handled through them, that can sometimes be a sticky situation for people and I was impressed and thrilled to hear that they take care of that. I was in the process of finding my next great family. I found Cass & C. online, I filled out the application and heard from Megan S. almost right away. First she was great, then not so much. She first spoke about how what I wanted was most important, meaning she would only show me jobs that met my criteria. She did not do that. She set me up on interviews with jobs the complete opposite of what I was looking for. She then went and removed my account WITHOUT my permission or even running it by me. I had to contact her because I hadn't heard from her in a few days, I was going to ask her to remove my file because I was unhappy and she already did that. Again, without even telling me. There I was patiently waiting for more interviews and I had no idea I was actually inactive. Megan S. Is extremely unprofessional, I couldn't believe I was working with an "agency." I HIGHLY do not recommend this agency. It really disappoints me how I took so much time to do everything on my end and on her end she was only concerned about getting her cut. They have proven unethical, as we learned that they have contacted the employee they placed with us several times to try to poach her away (to get another placement fee from another client). Our cleaner told us that they call her "all the time" about job offers. We just learned that they came to her with yet another job offer recently. Over 2 months ago I was made aware that I would have to end my current nanny job as the family was moving away, I have been doing it for five years and I wanted to continue on this career path. I was contacted by Megan and held a phone interview with a Courtney and told to send in my background check, license and some other things. I waited a few weeks and contacted Courtney, she told me she didn't have any of my paperwork, then she told me she did and I asked about job leads. she told me about a job in Jamaica Plain, I told her I wasn't interested because of the location and transportation she told me it was a good family and I should consider it,so I did. Two weeks go by and no word, 13 days ago I emailed her back asking about some job leads, she again brought up a possible interview with a Jamaica Plain family, umm still no word about that supposed Jamaica Plain family. Utterly disappointed with this nanny agency, I've had more luck with sittercity.com, care.com and looking for a job on my own. All set with Cass & Company. Would highly NOT reccomend. I have nothing but WONDERFUL things to say about Cass and Company. My experience with them was just PHENOMENAL! I have been working as a professional Nanny for over 7 years now and all the jobs I have had, I found them through "word of mouth" type of thing. At first, I was a little skeptical about using another agency again, but since I needed another job ASAP I did my profile with them. It was the best decision! This business is a total lie. Do NOT hire them for your needs!! I went to their 'office' in downtown Boston w/o notice one day. I had paperwork to drop off & I was in the area. Most businesses you can do this with no problem, correct? No. I was for some reason given the run around as to why it couldn't be submitted there, rather it had to be sent to the Portsmouth NH office?? Ironically, my colleague had the same experience. Leads us both to think that this Boston based business is not actually in Boston at all. Which would be fine if you weren't marketing yourself otherwise! For lack of a better word, it's totally sketchy. Upon calling and questioning it some, I again got the run around. Further conversation with acquaintances has revealed that I am not the only person/ family that has questioned this business for this reason. The scary thing is, this company is being hired by families to ensure their children and familial needs are properly taken care of!!! Blows my mind. I have so much to say about Cass & Company, overhall it completed change my life in terms of flexibility and manageable job, I have been working with them for pleasure 6 years the Cass & C crew always try to fit me in the right position and the families I have been working with are the best I have no words to describe how blessed they are in my life. In those 6 years I have been working for 6 diferente jobs and 5 of them worked 1 failed but still I think it was very good, the jobs that I have are short hours thats why I have to work for 5 people, everyone is different has different prospected.
