Micro Tech is definitely one of the better staffing agencies out there. I found them by applying to…read moreone of their jobs online and I was contacted by a recruiter within a day after posting my resume. What I really like about this particular company is my recruiter did not ask me to come down to the office, take a bunch of placement tests, or have an interview with them and go through all that bologna before even having an assignment. Having my resume to look at was good enough for them. From past experience, many temp agencies make you meet them in person and fill out paper work and then you may never hear from them again. Micro Tech doesn't do it that way and that's great because they won't be wasting your time if you don't get an assignment from them. I didn't have to come down to their office and fill out the paper work until I got my first assignment when I was chosen by their client company after the first interview they sent me too. Everything went well with the job. I worked at the client company and pretty much was on my own. I don't need to call them for anything and they didn't call me either which meant I was doing well. I think this temp agency lets the client company handle all work issues with you like you are their employee and Micro Tech doesn't get in the way like other temp agencies can. I also heard this temp agency is one of the better ones to go to if you want temp to perm as there are many others with temporary only like Manpower or Randstad which many people don't want. Lastly I'd like to say I was treated with respect when I told this temp agency I was leaving the job to pursue other options. They told me they appreciated me giving them the notice that I was leaving (as a lot of people don't) and they would welcome me back anytime.

So far, I really like this company. I submitted a resume, and they got back to me not too long…read moreafter. Eventually they came to me with a position that seemed really great for where I was in my professional journey. We set up an interview, they gave me a quick prep interview and I felt decently prepared. At first, the assignment had decided to move on with another candidate, and Contemporaries offered me a new assignment almost immediately. Before we could make any moves on that position, I got an offer from the original position! So far, I love the position, and I hope to be permanent at the end of this assignment. Without Contemporaries I'd still be looking on Indeed so I am very grateful.

I've now been with my company for 3 years. I LOVE my job/career! If it was not for this agency and their connections, I would have never found this perfect fit! Be patient, work hard, be RELIABLE, and they will work with you to find exactly what you are looking for. It takes time. Show them that you WANT THIS and believe me, they will eventually find it for you! It takes two to tango. I highly recommend this agency and would definitely use them again if I am ever looking to change fields!

A recent negative review for a staffing agency in Boston got me reminiscing about my experience…read moreseveral years ago with Lab Pros. So maybe this review is a little outdated, but I'm ok with that. I'd like to think my review is still valid, that they haven't changed much and still employ hardworking people who seem genuinely interested in connecting with their clients to find them a position they're a good fit for and don't just look at them with dollar signs in their eyes as potential commission. Anyways, a couple weeks from college graduation with no real plans to speak of, I was awake at 3 am and for whatever reason posted a resume to Monster.com. The next day I received a phone call from Lab Pros who said they had seen my resume and asked if I wanted to come in for an interview with them. I hadn't thought of going the headhunter route to find a job, but hey, what the heck, right? So I went for the interview and met with a very likable headhunter. I know that her job was to find me a job, but I was treated with such courtesy and professionalism that I felt she was personally invested in me and any commission or bonus for finding me a job was secondary to my needs. (We all know that's probably not true, but the important thing was I was treated as such). She did indeed find me a temp job working in a lab, which I'm happy to say turned permanent five months later and I am still there today. My only critique of this place is that the resumes they send to potential employers aren't very impressive looking. When I showed up for my interview, I saw a resume on LabPros letterhead that I didn't create--it looked very condensed compared to what I had originally posted on Monster and nothing like my own personally crafted resume. I handed my interviewers copies of my own resume and more than once heard the remark that the one I created did much more to sell them on me than the one from the employment agency. Still, you've got to figure that employers who use agencies like this are accustomed to seeing their company resume formats and shouldn't hold it against interviewing candidates. So, I knocked off one star the resume I saw, but that's the only negative critique I have for this agency. If the need arose (and God willing it won't), I would not hesitate to contact Lab Pros again for job seeking assistance.

When I signed on with PSR, I was just laid off from the Feds. The only thing on my resume was…read moreretail, and music which gets you nowhere if you're looking for a serious office job. But I went to where ever PSR sent me. I worked in small offices, medium sized offices and huge operations. The same offices which would never consider me to work one day after looking at my resume, were asking me to stay on for 3 months, six months, eleven months, from 2-3 day appointments. PSR also has great clients. I was treated extremely well, and when I had anything resembling a problem , I always checked with "the PSR office". From 2006-2012, I've had so many going away parties because I got along with my PSR clients. My big heart breaker was when my term was up for a child Care Center. The staff gave me a going away party. The teacher's and the 3-5 year olds gave me a send-off, with hand drawn pictures, a fist full of sparkles, and other handmade lump-in-the-throat sentiments. I eventually settled in a job which asked me to stay as a permanent employee. PSR wasn't sweating me or the client about money or contracts, instead, they were very supportive which made it extremely hard to leave them, but the had my best interest in mind and I couldn't say that happens with many jobs. I truly miss working for PSR. I am constantly referring any students I think are trustworthy ( i WOULDN'T SEND ANYBODY TO WASTE THEIR TIME). I've been a permanent employee at a prestigious College for 4 years.

I also love the PS&R personal touch: When you get hired for a job they send you an encouraging email; when the job's done, they send another one expressing their appreciation and an upbeat note about future prospects. Certainly has made a difference for me.

After 6 months of being on the job (approximately 1 year after starting with Roessel Joy), Jonas Roessel contacted me and insisted I interview with a new company that Roessel Joy was working with. Jonas Roessel stated that I would be an excellent fit for the new role and went on to describe my current placement disparagingly. I said I was not interested as the new role was not in keeping with my career trajectory, but Jonas Roessel insisted I interview for the new role. I reluctantly agreed in order to maintain goodwill with Roessel Joy. After several interviews with the new company, I was certain I was not interested. I referred a colleague in my stead to Roessel Joy - they followed up with me to be certain of whom to contact and how. I prepped my colleague with the notes from my interview, and they were able to get the job. Upon my colleague's 90th day of employment, I requested my referral fee from Roessell Joy, they refused. Roessel Joy claimed that because my colleague had previously applied to a different role with their agency, they organically contacted them about the same position. That Roessel Joy did not receive a referral's name and information from me, but rather their database, and that I was not entitled to the referral fee. They did however, offer to venmo me $100. When I asked Roessel Joy what the $100 was for, they declined to respond. This offer is documented via email as well as significant portions of this account. Roessel Joy was not considering my colleague until I referred them. Roessel Joy was dishonest and failed to pay me for my referral. Roessel Joy offered to pay me $100 but denies I referred them to a successful hire. Roessel Joy attempted to poach a direct placement, and any other candidates they came in contact with from businesses paying them for placement. Jonas Roessell was incredibly unprofessional and essentially bullied me into interviewing for a role that was not a good fit for me but would bring revenue to his bottom line. Additionally, Roessel Joy was unhelpful in negotiating my direct hire terms, securing performance reviews, and addressing my concerns about employment.
