I ended up taking her out of this facility AMA, because it was so unacceptable. She was in her bed almost the entire time, as there was no chair or recliner in the room. She complained that her rear end hurt because she was in bed for so long. I took a look and her rear end was black & blue from laying down so long. I find it appalling that she is not incontinent, but they had her in a diaper that barely fit. When I was there they had a male CNA come in to change it. My mother is 80 years old. She deserves some dignity. The man barely spoke English and he was putting a diaper on that was too small. WTH! She called me at 5:00 am in the morning begging to be picked up because the place was unsafe. I arrived there, and they had put her in a wheelchair instead of a chair. It ripped open her wound, and her dress was covered in blood. A nurse was trying to stop the bleeding, but only after a while was she able to do so. She was also in a room with a lady that had dementia. This lady was accosting people as they tried to see my mother (the driver for a transportation service, myself, my father), and she was saying that she did not have a roommate. I brought this up to someone and they said I'd need to request a room change. That is ridiculous. They know how that lady was, they should automatically keep her by herself. My Mom came back home and had to recover alone. At home, we were better equipped to handle her than they were at this dump. We at least had a recliner where she has been sleeping. The man in charge of PT was nice, but they did not visit her enough. They visited her while I was there. That is unacceptable. I plan to report them to the BBB and the Board of Health, I just have not had time. Please do not let your loved one stay here. Also, they did not answer the doorbell promptly. Even the staff was having trouble getting in because they were not answering the door. I'd give this place a zero if I could. They should not be in business.

Says they specialize in spine issues, my Sister can barely function ATM from the terrible treatment. They ran her ragged with OT and PT. Had her using machines she had no right using with her broken body. She had spine issues, neurology issues, gastro issues, and urinary issues. YOUR TEAM - NEVER had her checked by doctors to find out the causes. Nope you sent her home, stating she needed 24 hours care and no driving. But yet She has to do those things now, to find out what is still wrong. Best in Brevard - what a joke. Maybe the best of the worst and that's not saying much. She even got a letter from the CEO apologizing for the terrible care, and that terrible care continued until they sent her home, no better than She was before she go into Sea Pines. Such a shame Brevard County, and Florida as a whole has terrible health care, and I can say this after 39 years in this state. So if you wanna get better don't go here, and good luck finding any quality care.

Our grandmother was neglected and ended up back in the hospital. They never moved her and she developed multiple bedsores. They left her in dirty diapers for HOURS despite asking multiple times to be changed. When she would call for help the night staff would tell her to stop bothering them or they will turn her call button off! It was no surprise that she got sick with an infection. She hated the food. They had dangerous practices like picking her up by her diaper vs using a gait belt like they are supposed to. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONE HERE!

This was the same nursing home where my aunt fell, had a broken femur and no one noticed. They has her sitting in a chair with a broken femur! During the latest 3 days of respite care, my cousin witnessed bedbugs and ants on the bed. When you are poor and have no other option, unfortunately, this is how you die. It's awful.

A small bathroom between rooms do not lock and can be used as a walk thru and gives way to personal safety and theft. When concerns were mentioned, lip service came easy with apologies but no satisfactory results. Definitely would not recommend this facility for care and wonder how this facility is in operation.

I have never, in my years, found one location where everyone is as capable and compassionate as the people in this hospice facility. From the security guard to the janitor, every doctor, every nurse, every aid and the social worker too. I spent the four last days of my father's life here. I would not have wanted him anywhere else. Informative, professional and kind. I want to know a place like this will be waiting for me in 40 years. Thank you, St. Francis. For these past four days, as well as the past four months of monitored care at both Parish Hospital and a LTC Facility. THANK YOU.
