Okay, so I just realized how I can show you that I'm not (323). In my comment you see that I asked about you guys getting the papers to serve the guy from the courthouse? As a thought exercise, think of why I would need someone to get service papers. Okay? Okay. This would elude to me 1) being in too poor of health to get them myself and 2) living outside the area. In my case it is both. You guys did quote me $400 + travel because I was looking for a service that would file the documents in the court after doing the skip search. BTW after calling around $400 for what I wanted is on the high end, but with other services because the cost is already high they don't ask for travel on top of that. Now to address your other "follow up call" concern. Can we agree that yelp is in a public format? As in when the information is published/posted anyone in the world can view it? Yes? Good. There is something called "Data Munging" or "Data Mining", it's quite popular and uses coding to "open up" a website and search for something specific. I know how to do this in .py and had a class assignment in this in java . It isn't all that difficult. So, likely a scam company sets up for a pop up alert any time a business receives a 1 star review. Look! We're agreeing on that phone call being a scam! With that alert they include the hyperlink to said one star review and have a "representative" call you up. It would seem fairly instant to you, but a computer program -depending on the language- can run several hundred to tens of thousands of times per second. Can we take a moment to be grateful that even a gimp like me can take computer science classes? Now back to your initial claim. Again, you are correct that I never visited you office. I called. Why did I never visit your office? Because I live outside the area! The amount of travel it takes to get back to LA generally causes a seizure. But here's a thing that you should *really* consider. Consider that my review is 100% honest. Consider me your cannery in a coal mine, aka a warning that something is really wrong and you need to check it out NOW. Instead of threatening to sue me, you should take a hard look at who is answering those phones. BTW, since you have threatened legal action twice now, you should run a skip search on me! After all, that right there would show you that I no longer live in LA. That would also pull up my phone numbers, again showing that I'm not the number that you published. I am a very senior citizen suing former tenants for damages to rental property. If you're in a rush, need same day delivery or such, do not call these people. also, they need you to scan and e-mail, or fax all the pages you need served. If you don't have a scanner, you're screwed. Kinko's/Fedex charges $1.85 first page to scan and almost the same to fax, and about .75 cents each page after. Or, you have to driver over to their office in busy ass downtown and deal with the hell on earth parking and crazyness. I ended up just calling a friend and paying him $40 for less than one hour of work. They wanted about $65 for their service. Not really sure why the "express" in their name. If you need a Process Service done right then you have come to the right place. After having a terrible experience with PSSLAC (Process Server Service of Los Angeles County), I decided to try Yelp and see if I could find a quick, reliable alternative. If you ever run in PSSLAC, whatever you do, RUN...don't walk away from this scam artist. He has great FAKE Google ratings which trick a lot of people (like me), but his ratings on Yelp tell the true, complete story and shows what can happen to you if you don't go with a reputable company like Process Server Express. (Moral of the story is...Google's ratings are a bunch of made up garbage...only put weight behind Yelp's ratings! Although this is my first rating, I had to sign up to show the contrast between my experiences with both and it only happened because PSSLAC is the cheapest and had a Google rating of 4.3. When I finally checked Yelp and saw that they had a Yelp rating of 1. because that is as low as you can go, I knew I had been scammed). Because of PSSLAC's scam, I was behind the 8 ball and needed a Subpoena served, like yesterday!I contacted Jack on Wednesday and told him that I needed a rush service and the server needed to make 3 attempts and I would need a Declaration of Due Diligence along with the Proof of Service (because I knew the person being served would not be there). My court date was scheduled for the following, Tuesday, so I knew I needed everything completed by Monday around Noon so that I could deliver the Proof to the Courthouse. Unlike PSSLAC, Jack knew exactly what to do, calmed my fears, and got to work. I checked with him after the 1st day and he gave me a report back on what happened and I was at ease. On the following Monday, around 1pm, he got me everything I needed for my case and I was off to deliver it to the Courthouse, that afternoon. Because the service was done correctly & promptly, he was able to save my case that I had worked so many hours on trying to defend. Due to the fact that Personal Service could not be performed at the address the person said she would be at, the case was dismissed on that Monday evening. I didn't see the dismissal until Tuesday morning so I could have saved myself a sleepless night by checking the Online Docket the night before, but I was ecstatic to say the least! This was only possible because the Service was done the Perfect Way it needed to be. If you need a Service done right the first time...take my word for it...do yourself a favor and go with Jack @ Process Server Express. If I had not called him I would have surely LOST my case which would have resulted in over a $10k judgement against me! Don't skimp on this very important aspect of your case. I do not like writing reviews. And honestly I just never believe the internet. But this one deserves my honest opinion! I can't begin with saying how immensely happy I am with the service I received by these people. Jack helped me, I did not meet them in person everything was done through phone and email, but everything was done fast and they helped me sooooo much! I have been trying to get the father of my kids served for months and I hired these people and they got the job done in no time. I have been had their info but I've spent so much money on getting this guy that I was not really sure if I wanted to cough up more money and lose some again. We could not get a hold of the defendant. We tried multiple times to reach her, but we had no idea what she looked like or how to reach her. I had her name, drivers license number and last know address. Jack was able to not only locate her and serve her, but he did it within a week.
