The technician came out and said he was going to scope it first, not the service we asked for, and then told my husband repeatedly it didn't need to be cleaned. I later got an email with a recommendation for a cleaning at $1400 and a bill for $154 for scoping the line. I already have an appointment to have the line scoped after the cleaning tomorrow by the original company who scoped it. Never asked for a scope, asked for a cleaning. I've attached the communication that they could do the cleaning while in site. Really challenging when the technician said no cleaning necessary, no repairs necessary and then sends an estimate for recommended cleaning and repair. Moving on to the next company who can maybe do the work we hire for and not waste hours of our time and now days.

Sewer main replacement (clay) Oct 2024: Sewer Lines Only (SLO) scoped and replaced my outdoor 90yo clay sewer line. They said the internal cast iron was solid, and I was scheduled within the week. Hyperflow's estimate said the cast iron needed replacement. The team of 3 was on time, worked independently, and was able to put the fence back up that needed to be taken down. No issues, until 2026. Sewer main backup (May 2026): "Flushable" wipes got caught on the rough interior cast iron, and caused a backup. Fit-It-24-7 came and cleared the clog, and sent a second tech to do a scope, with the water OFF. Both techs said "Look at the high areas (yellow in the attached pic) where the cast iron is 'trenched'. The high sides are the pipe, and the in the section with the muddy water, that's where it's completely rusted through, and leaking sewage." They quoted a 8month teacher's salary to do a repair. SLO came to do a scope. The tech (Cameron - very intelligent guy) kept the water RUNNING, so his scope had a clear view of the bottom of the pipe. "The cast iron is rough, so it snagged the wipe. It's in good shape though." But - what about the trenching? "Look here - the water is clear, and you can see to the bottom and see the cast iron. What looks like a 'trench' is just decades of built up residue/oils. The pipe is beneath that (see green circle in my pic) There's no leak, but I recommend a rotary chain to resurface the cast iron, to remove rough areas that snag wipes." The cost was 99% less than the bogus quote.

I was 7 days from closing on a sale, the line was discovered during inspection. The other duplex owner was rightfully out of her mind because the line ran under her beautiful stamped patio. Sewer Lines Only recommended tunneling under the patio from my property. We had (I'm counting....) 7 very reputable sewer companies quote this job. No one else mentioned going in from the side, and when I circled back to ask, none could. SLO's quote was 25% lower than the next lowest bid (thousands in savings) and 50-75% lower than most bids. So I was hesitant. Enter Joe from SLO - a project manager or engineer? He was so confident they could do this job from the side (really confident, not salesy confident), he made himself available to me at any time to explain the work but never once called me to "seal a deal." He probably took 20 calls/texts from me. I took the gamble and got on a plane to Denver. Jerry and his team showed up promptly for the job, were professional, courteous, and thorough. The line was fixed, no patio or fence demo required. When a possible additional leak was discovered with scoping, Joe came out and confirmed personally that there was no issue. Enter Monica in Billing who went the extra mile to figure out how to split invoicing to bill the other owner her portion and free my property up for sale. And did it gladly. Intelligent, progressive solutions, lower-cost, personalized service - same as in 2024 when I worked with Cameron. They dug a trench in my garage and repatched with concrete. No issues 2+ years in. I've used Elite once before, and I decided to use them again. But this last time when they showed up, I scheduled what should have been a simple $79 annual pipe cleaning. Instead, it immediately turned into a hard-sell pitch for an $8,500 trench-digging and pipe replacement -- a major job that might be needed someday, but certainly not urgently like they claimed. (Mind you, they didn't even guarantee that this would fix all my problems. They said there might need to be more jobs that get done after this $8,500 job. ) They used sales tactics to try to scar me and make me think that I would only be getting this price for one day. I declined MULTIPLE TIMES because I wanted a second opinion, and I'm very glad I did. ALSO - Despite paying the $79, they didn't even clear the roots from the drain -- they just told me it was "too overrun" and then pushed the upsell anyway. After that, I received phone calls from them twice a day for a week trying to get me to schedule the expensive work. And Elite kept calling me. Trying to see what they could do to "earn my business". Eventually I got into a long discussion with one of their salesmen, and long story short, they talked me into considering them for a hydrojetting job. - Which would clear my roots, and they could then decide how bad my pipes were and what kind of further service I would need. Which they quoted me $1,600 for. Eventually, I had another trusted local plumber take a look. And they confirmed I had roots and a few other minor problems. But the roots were definitely the biggest problem that are causing my backups. and he also suggested hydro jetting done by his friend. So I scheduled him and he charged me a fraction of Elite Rooters 1,600 dollar price tag. I was blown away by how simple the hydrojetting process was, because by that price point, Elite told me I thought it was such a complex process. Bottom line: This company uses high-pressure tactics, inflated pricing, and artificially urgent sales pitches. Don't be fooled by the $79 "special." Hire a reputable local plumber -- you'll save money and avoid the corporate upsell games.

Please read below before you think about calling them for assistance I had a sink clog so it wasn't draining at all. The guy came within 1-2 hours of calling. First thing he did was try to sell me a $1200 pipe cleaning. I said, I don't need pipe cleaning, I just need the clog resolved. I then agreed to pay ~$250 to clear the clog. He worked for 15-20 minutes and said he was unable to remove clog with snake and he needed to use the water spray to resolve the clog. This was the $1200 service. I had already been dealing with the clog all day and just wanted it done so I agreed. He worked for maybe another 45 minutes and declared the clog was resolved. Then he demanded a 5-star google rating. I said well I guess you fixed it so sure. He did not put the drain back together and left. I was happy to have the sink to use for preparing dinner. I put the drain back together. It was just as clogged as when the guy got there. I called him. He returned and said he didn't know how to resolve clog but his boss would contact me on Monday. This was a Saturday afternonn/evening. I was not happy about not having a kitchen sink for rest of weekend but we dealt with it. I waited until 1pm on Monday to be contacted by his boss. I was not given his number. When I had not been contacted, I called and requested a refund. Obviously, I'm not paying for not having a sink for another 2 days, let alone $1200. I found that price absurd and you should too!! For all I know the guy did nothing since the drain was still clogged. I hired another company (Mile High Drain) who sent out two guys and resolved the issue within 45 minute. The put the drain back together and we have had no problem since. I paid them $175 plus a $30 tip for each guy. I assumed that the Elite Rooters had refunded me. 6 weeks later I was going through credit card charges and realized that that charge had not been reversed. I assumed it had been a mistake and called to remind them to refund me. I waited another week, still no refund. I have called at least 6 times, trying to be nice, to request the refund. They currently claim that their customer service cannot refund the charge and that a "manager" has the power to do it. They state they have told the manager to contact me and so far he has not. On my account they say the refund was denied because "the work was completed". I have told them I just want a refund. I don't want to hurt their business but I cannot in good conscience not make this public, whether I ever get refund or not. This is the worst customer service experience I can recall. Please, please please there are many great plumbing business in the greater Denver area who you can hire who will treat you great. This business is not one of them.

The tech that came out, while punctual and respectful, didn't appear to focus on and provide a suitable solution for my specific needs (I was quoted for a replacement of the pressure release valve - something outside the water heater that was making noises / having the issue). After getting advice from others, I would have had to spend more time and money as the pressure release valve would not have solved the issue. Quick response and quote, but not really what I was specifically looking / needing. Not to say I wouldn't consult them in the future for other, more general repair needs.
