I found out their hours and went to stand in line on a Tuesday morning before they opened. I was second in line at 7:30. By 7:55 there were 12-15 people in line behind me. They took my keys and information and said they'd call when they had an idea of what was wrong. I stopped by at 4:30pm that day and they said they were about to call me. There was an issue with the cv axels in my car. They didn't even charge me to look at the car (YMMV there). They said they'd figure out a quote to do the repair but that the car was mine to take right then since I was on foot. They texted the next day saying that the car needed cv axels on both sides and they gave me a price out the door. I said to go ahead and order the parts. I was in line again the next day. This time I was first in line and by the time they opened there were about 10 people behind me. Moral of the story here - Tuesdays are busy because that's their first open day of the week. By 11am that day, my car was fixed. They charged exactly the quoted amount and I haven't had any issues since. I'd recommend this place to anyone in the area. As long as you're ok with a "stand in line" type of situation instead of making a reservation, this is easily the best/most honest mechanic in the area.

After the service was complete, and I picked up the vehicle I noticed there were a new few issues that were not present prior to me dropping the vehicle off. After speaking with the owner Brandon and pointing out the things that were not a problem before, he agreed to have me bring my vehicle back in so that he could have one of his best ASE certified techs look over everything. They found the issue, ordered the needed parts and got the repairs completed at no additional cost! Throughout the process there was constant communication with the status of repairs, and regular updates. Overall, my Wife and I are very satisfied with the service we received and the overall outcome. Brandon is a stand-up guy and his staff are all a great bunch of people! In spite of seeing reviews about the "grouchy" guy in the front my experience was anything but that. First there was Bobby who looked kind of rough but he was very nice and after I told him the problem with my car told me that they would look at it right away and got the owner Jeff. When I saw the back brace on his back and told him that I had lumbar spine surgery 2 months ago we got into an interesting conversation about that while they got my car on the rack and Jeff was looking at it. Then Jeff came and got me to show me the damage. My car is an old but reliable 2007 Toyota Camry. I was hoping that the joint connecting the muffler to the catalytic converter could be soldered but there was so much corrosion the joint and catalytic converter needed to be replaced. It was expensive for me on a limited fixed income but much lower than other places. Jeff told me that it would take about an hour but it was about 45 minutes. I told Jeff and Bobby about the negative comments about the "grouchy" guy and asked which one it was. They pointed at each other and we all started laughing. Jeff said that he doesn't look at the reviews. I told them that I thought that they were funny and delightful.

AVOID! My advice: find a trusted local or family-owned mechanic such as Pure in downtown Decatur,…read moreor the "Atlanta Car Doctor" near the DeKalb Farmers Market on East Ponce. DONT go to a corporate place like True that makes its money on overpriced upsell services after their "free" diagnostics, and likely cuts costs to increase their margins by hiring inexperienced mechanics and technicians. I had taken my car to a local repair shop who honestly told me that they couldn't determine my engine problem after several hours of diagnostics and swapping out parts. Since they couldn't find it, they only charged me for 1/2 hour of labor, or about $80. I then took the car to corporate-owned True, told them everything that had already been checked, and asked them for further diagnostics, thinking it was a larger operation, and they would have more specialized technicians. Wrong.... Instead, they repeated everything my local car repair place already checked, charged me over $900 (yes over $900!), only to tell me "its something in the engine". They also tried to upsell me tire services at prices 25% more than I would find anywhere else. Go local.
