I got quotes from a lot of different companies, and Danielle from Seattle Tree Care was by far the most knowledgeable about the work we needed done. She also spotted a treatable fungus on one of our maple trees, that no one else had mentioned, and set us up to get that treated. Seattle tree care handled the permitting and paperwork, and scheduling was easy. Removing the two poplars was a huge project. Moises and his team were incredible! They navigated a complicated removal near high voltage lines. I really appreciated how candid he was about how our yard would be impacted by the work and the care they took to preserve our plants and outdoor lighting. I would HIGHLY recommend seattle tree care. They were a joy to work with from start to finish. We will call on them anytime we need additional trimming or tree removal.

I definitely feel like it was a great value as well given the scope of work and how quickly they got it done.

It was sad as it had given us 17 years of beautiful blossoms and plums, but we didn't want it falling on anyone and knew it had to go. My hubs Marcus called Ballard Tree Service for an assessment and they came out quickly. They handled the tree removal permits with the city and we were able to book a removal date a few weeks later. Jake the arborist and his two crew members did a fantastic job removing our tree! They had to remove it carefully while not disturbing the neighbors' maple trees and other plants that were very close to it. They were prompt, friendly, and efficient. They thought it might take three hours but it took them only about 1.5 hours. They also asked if we wanted any of the tree for firewood or projects. We said no, so they took away all the branches, trunk pieces, and debris. We were pleased with how the whole removal process went. A few days later, the office contacted Marcus to see if it went well and if we had any feedback or requests for them before they sent us an invoice. Great customer service! We highly recommend Ballard Tree Service and would definitely hire them again.

We got a few quotes from nearby tree care outfits. Taproot gave us the most competitive and most detailed quote. When Kelly came over to scope the work and provide an estimate, he listened to our requirements and understood what we were looking for. He explained clearly what type of work they'd be doing on each of the trees. On the day of the job, the crew arrived on time and completed the job relatively quickly. They were respectful of our property and cleaned up well after themselves. Most importantly, they did a great job with the trimming. The trees look really good and well groomed. Working with Taproot was effortless. We'll be coming back to them for our future tree care needs.

The owner was nice enough to let us in even though we showed up exactly at closing time. We said we would be quick.. and we were. Basically grabbed the first two that I saw. The employee stayed late to help us wrap and put two trees securely on my car. We were really happy they let us in because we wanted to be able to decorate the tree on Sunday and we wanted time for the branches to fall. It's not cheap, but most places really aren't. However, the quality of the trees and the good service make it worthwhile. They also can deliver too.

I had SUCH a great experience at this company's Christmas tree lot!…read more I also left my review for Magnolia Lawn & Garden Service on the page dedicated to their Christmas tree lot on Holman road: http://www.yelp.com/biz/holman-road-christmas-trees-seattle Here's my Holman Road Christmas Trees story: Last Friday night, my two roommates and I went down to the tree lot at 3rd & Holman. We didn't have much time--but we knew we wanted a Noble Fir (a more expensive tree), and that we needed about 6.5'. We went in with a budget--that was apparently appropriate for last year's tree prices. (PS. If you're hunting for a noble, please be warned that prices are a bit high this year!) We found the PERFECT tree REALLY quickly, and a guy carried it over for us to check out--and started cutting the stump fresh and wrapping it--when we heard how expensive it would be... which was just a little outside of our budget. SO, we went over to tell the guy wrapping our tree that we'd have to find a different one, and it turned out that the guy wrapping our tree was the owner. He asked us what our budget was, and we told him (it was about $20 under what they wanted for the tree), and he told us we could have it for our budget price--but that we had to bring them cookies in return. SO--ecstatic--we agreed. The next day, I whipped up a batch of Kahlua White Chocolate cookies, and brought them over to the lot. The owner, and the guys on staff, seemed pretty stinking happy to receive the cookies--warm fuzzies all around. That little act of kindness from the owner has earned him a Christmas tree customer for life. Thanks, Magnolia Lawn & Garden! We love our tree!!

Plant Amnesty only recommends people who are ISA Certified in tree pruning and actively concerned about tree welfare (something about not topping trees?). We have three massive Big Leaf maple trees on our property on a steep hill. Apical Tree Services came by and provided an estimate for our trees to clean-out the deadwood and clear the lower branches that were too close to the sidewalk. They were very conscious of the privacy that we want to maintain with the tree branches. They worked for quite a few hours with a guy crazy high in our trees cutting out the deadwood, and a man below (who had set up cones to keep passerbys from getting hurt) who would send the branches through a large wood chipper. They cleaned out a ton of dead wood, and the trees looked fantastic and healthy afterwards. The guy (maybe Andrew?) also walked around the trees with me afterward to explain the health of my trees, and a few problems that I should keep my eye on in the next 5-10 years. Professional and I would totally work with them again!
