I was searching for someone to repair/rebuild some of my fence in my yard, which took over three years. We have new neighbors who we wanted to share the cost of the fence with, and we were getting bids that were astronomical, is the only word I can think of. At the suggestions of our neighbor, who did some work with Merino's for the other side of their yard, I reached out to them. Gerardo responded very quickly, got the pertinent details from my yard requirements, and showed up precisely when he said he would. They put together proposal, which was very competitive compared to the other ones, and I also had seen their work that was done on the other side of the yard. I was going to be out of town at the time, so I told him I needed it to be done before I left, or after I got back. He responded very quickly and said he could come out that afternoon and start the job. He showed up as promised, got the majority of the poles set that day, and his team came back the next day and knocked out 90% of the replacement and repaired fence. They showed up a day later for the final touches she clean up! Great job! I'm planning to bring him back to do some work on the front of my fence, which will be all on my bill. We had a very good experience with Merino's. They prepared, conditioned and seeded our very mossy lawn. We now have no moss; just a beautiful grass lawn. Some small sections had no grass come up, so they returned and reseeded those areas. The initial preparation/conditioning and seeding took only one day, which was great. And they hauled away all the moss, and some tree limbs they'd trimmed for more sun. And the price was right, lower than others I contacted. They did a spring cleaning for my house! I wanted to get my house sorted in all ways. I didn't negotiate or shop around. Asked for a discount and Gerardo was ok to cut few bucks. I didn't care much about money and was willing to give even more for the crew. But, they came late on the day; scheduled more than one house a day. The team didn't complete the work of course, they said Gerardo (who was not there) will come tomorrow to complete it. He came second work not willing to do the work. Wanted to pressure wash my patio and leave as nothing was mentioned in the estimate (though he agreed to do the stuff and when he talked about money, I said I am willing to pay more). I had this spring cleaning with $850+tax. I was willing to pay more. I already asked for another project with $1400 to reseed my grass as well. But, what I care about is to have my work done to perfection. I asked Gerardo to leave my house. Cut a portion of the Money for the missing work! And, I canceled the other reseeding project with him. To be fair, the crew did good stuff in my house during the time they spent. But, I believe management is what lead to this mess. I attached photos for the pressure wash dispute on 2nd day.
