BEWARE! I know two ladies who visited and later got fungus on their toe nails. I've been luckier (and customer for a few years), but I think this is the last time I will visit. The lady who did my gel manicure cut me 3 times and didn't even bother cleaning the blood until I told her. She would've placed the gel polish on top if I hadn't pointed it out. Also, she did not put medication of any sort on any of my cuts. I also got a pedicure and the polish application was nothing short of poor - she didn't bother filing the nail in order to smooth it out and I left with polish all over my toes. Sharon is my go to ALWAYS for special gel designs and she never lets me down...the girl has talent! I have only been to this place twice and it was for convenience because it is close to my house. The first time I visited this place was for a manicure only because the girl who does my nails regularly at the nail salon and spa by staples was out sick and I was due for a manicure so I decided to give this place a try. I was happy that I did not have to wait and the lady who did my nails seemed friendly. Besides, I was happy with her work. The second time I went, just this past Thursday, I had a chance to observe their work and surrounding area more in detail. This time I went in for both, manicure and pedicure. I noticed the towels they were using were a little dirty; they definitely did not look clean and it appeared they had used them before. I suspected they had used those towels on someone else before me. My suspicions were confirmed when the woman who did my pedicure finished and moved on to work on another client who needed a manicure because she took the same two towels she had used for my pedicure to work on the other client's manicure. I was disgusted because everywhere else I had been for manicure and pedicure I had not seen this level of unprofessionalism and lack of higiene. Although I was happy with their work, I was not happy with the price nor the filthiness of this place. I will not go back and I am surprised no one else has mentioned that in the reviews. If you do visit this place I suggest you take your own towels or else visit at your own risk. Nail fungus is a scary and serious problem that spreads easily people. read more

I came in today to get a gel manicure first of all they only have 1 color of white. At least that's what Julie told me. Come on really, one color of white polish??!! So I wasn't sure of what I wanted yet either glitter tips or one color with glitter tips. So I was was debating and she would bring me colors and I guess she got annoyed since I wanted to see different colors and she's pregnant so she would go back and forth getting colors she started making huffing and puffing sounds and grunts and then her and Tina started talking now in their language and you get the feeling like their talking about you so I got up and said never mind I'm leaving. They both were rude and I haven't come here for years because I found a place I loved "LOVELY NAILS & SPA" on Torrance Blvd. Go there they do beautiful acrylics and gel nails. They have tons of gel colors and different gel brands. I now remember why I've stayed away from this place for so long. They need a lesson in customer service. So Tina ended up charging me $8 for a manicure when Julie didn't even give me a manicure. All she did was file and trim cuticle. this place is so tacky and unprofessional. its dirty and the nail techs are so rude . they always look so bothered to do your nails and they stare at you hard core while talking to their coworkers next to them in their language ( clearly talking about you) , i was pregnant and they were making rude gestures on how i looked pregnant to each other by using their hands to indicate i was more of a wider pregnant. one of them was so rude and literally tried to rub my pregnant stomach and shake my belly. i was so pissed i stormed out then they made comments about how i was prettier than my sisters (incident before i was prego) . like wth ! read more

I'm along time customer I've been going there for over 10 years . i went in last week for color change on my Gel and pedi . it was the most unconforable feeling ever . My nails did not need a fill but they kept telling me I did which I knew I didn't since I was there the week ago ... anyways so the girl fix them and but one of guy that work there started to scream at her because she didn't make me get a fill . I have been going to this salon for four years and was normally happy, Yesterday I went in close to closing time and I was prepared for them to just say it was late. I heard them kinda arguing about taking me and I said are you sure it's ok and they agreed. Worst mistake ever. I told the lady how I wanted the shape of the nail and she started complaining in her language and the lady working next to her told her yes she was not shaping it correctly and she told her you do it then with a bad attitude. The lady next to her did try to please me and was very nice but with the language barrier my instructions were not clear. Long story short, I was not happy. I told them so.
