I had an unpleasant experience. I presented my gaming PC to Rene and explained my issues to him. He stated he's able to repair my PC. The following day he called me and said my pc is repaired and ready for pick up. I tested and the same issue is still present. He informs me that he can resolve this issue and will let me know when it's resolved. By this time I'm already frustrated. I've waited a couple of weeks to give Rene time to resolve this issue. I came by to pick up my PC with Rene confidently telling me the issue was resolved. He did a quick display and at first the pc was working with no issues. But as soon as I set my pc at home, the same problem occurred. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this computer repair service! read more

What a wonderful bunch of folks! Especially Gus. I cannot say enough good things about Gus. It is clear that he and his crew are committed to taking care of their customers ... even the ones that maybe aren't a perfect fit. I was not looking for a computer repair shop. I was looking for someone to repair the DVD side of my ancient DVD/VCR player/recorder. Hey, computers have CD players, right? How different could they be? So I called around to several computer repair places and all promptly responded "nope!" to the question "Can you repair by DVD player?". Except Pro-Tech. Yays! I showed up a couple of days later, smile on my face and DVD/VCR in my hands. Gus looked at me, crestfallen. "Whoever you talked to was wrong." My smile turned to sadness. Before I could turn to leave, Gus took the DVD player off my hands and said he had a friend that maybe, just maybe, would be able to repair it and asked that I give him a few days. When I called Gus the following week, he informed me that his friend wasn't able to repair it. The device was just too old and his friend couldn't find the parts to repair it. I thanked him for the effort and said I'd be by to pick up my still-broken device in a few days. Gus ended up - on his own time, and with no profit to be made - locating a new device for me several days after that. He even took the time to test it before letting me take it home. Who does that?? He was certainly under no obligation to do so but I so appreciate that he did. In addition to my multiple phone calls, I was on premises twice. Both times, workers and customers were in the close quarters that is the Pro Tech shop. The vibe, from the moment you walk in, is a friendly, open one. That alone tells a story. He ended up opening my laptop, cleaning it, and then re-applying thermal paste on my CPU and GPU. My computer has stopped overheating and is lag-free from the heat! Usually I'm one to buy a new computer when it brakes or slows down but in these economical times i thought I would see the cost to fix my computer. Found this place on Yelp so I decided to take the drive from Stanton. I took 3 of my computers in and had them all fixed (crack screen, broken hinges, slow running, etc) for less then the cost of half of a new one. Excellent customer service! Gustavo helped me out big time with a laptop that overheated - it was 7+ years old but had all my music and photos from the last 15 years. Computer couldn't be repaired but Gustavo got everything transfered to my new laptop saving me from all the work of trying to replace some precious items. This is the place to go for ANY computer services! Gus, the owner, is a rare breed. I called Norton/Windows for help on the anti virus. Next thing you know they had complete control of my computer! After a few minutes, I felt sick to my stomach-- I had been tricked! I IMMEDIATELY called Gus and asked him if I could take over my computer. Once there, Gus found two programs that had been installed (without my permission) by the representative of Windows. He proceeded to remove them and check my computer for any other malicious activity. He then opened my computer and vacuumed it ( it was covered with dust ). After, he installed the Antivirus program ( one year) all for $40. I have been a customer for the last two years and am glad I found someone trustworthy that always goes that extra mile to help. I work in the area and one day on my way home from work i notice this little spot Pro-Tech computers my computer had been acting up for maybe 3weeks and I've been meaning to take it to a shop by my house which i always go too..........But i ended up winging it and said to myself Fuck it I'm here... (excuse the language) so i went in he wasn't that busy so he attended me Right there and then. Gus (the owner) was pretty down to earth and was straight up with the diagnoses (which was free). He told me i have gotten a virus and that my anti-virus had failed (which i purchased at best-buy for 80$). i was like wtf??? i was mad FUCK THE GEEK SQUAD THEY DON'T KNOW SHIT!!!.........so i told him okay do what needs to be done, Gus told me 100 bucks which was for the anti-virus removal and a new anti-virus which was not bad, (Best buy-250+, and the shop by my house 160). So i thought that was not a bad price considering on the job hes doing on my labtop, I left it there overnight. the next day i went my laptop was running like a dream!!!!!! and this guy said overall 80 bucks!!!!
