I am extremely happy with the results from this business. My knives are sharper than they have ever been. The first time I used Pro Sharp I only did a few knives to try the service. I called on a Friday evening expecting to leave a message or not get an answer. Instead, the phone picks up and Jeff actually answered. I was able to make arrangements to come by on Saturday even. The price is very fair and he sharpened my knives while I waited. I have some that were sharpened several months ago and still have a better edge on them than when I bought them. I have used Jeff's services at Pro Sharp for several years, with extraordinary results! Aging JA Henkels knives have been restored and rejuvenated with his care and attention. Shortly before Thanksgiving, I dropped off nine knives. Once home, upon opening the bag after they were sharpened, I discovered there were only eight. I emailed Jeff, and explained the situation. I ordered the Pro Sharp Knife last December 10,2019. The order # is 1882. They took my money at once. Here it is October 18, 2020 and I have NOT received my knife. When I emailed them the first time I was told Sorry we are back ordered and it will be shipped soon. End of January comes around and no knife. I email again and was told it was due to the China issue but they would send it soon. March comes around and I email again and was told I would receive a credit and they are sorry, they never gave the credit nor would they refund my money and I still have no knife. They are in shut down with the Covid-19. Funny because they were posting on Facebook they had product and could ship right away. Here it is October 18, 2020 and NO knife and NO refund of my money. My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting Jeff and taking advantage of his mobile service this past week. We had been hoping to find someone local (Simi Valley) to sharpen our knives and scissors. When I happened on the Pro Sharp website I knew we had found our man. I phoned Jeff and he told me he would be able to come to our house that afternoon. When he got to our place we assembled a collection of knives and scissors which I thought Jeff was going to take back to his shop and return at a later time. Well, I was mistaken. He is also currently running an offer per his website for 20% off if you meet him (check his website too) and accepts cash or check only. Another thing: he does visit the Oxnard JoAnne Fabrics on a regular basis in case that is closer. The prices were great and I was pleased he was able to do pinking shears. I tried to slice a tomato yesterday. It didn't go well. I realized the kitchen knives were finally dull. They were high quality JA Henkels and have been around for two years. I reached out to Pro Sharp and Jeff's response was fast. I dropped them off after a quick phone call and within 2 hours they were ready. The price was extremely reasonable. In addition to the Henkels, I brought 3 Victorinox, 2 folding, 1 Ka-Bar, 1 large hunting knife, several serrated steak knives and my wife's scissors. Everything came back sharp like a razor. I was so happy with the service, the response, the work and the price, I will be keeping everything sharp from now on. I give Pro Sharp a great recommendation. There is no reason to try to smash though a tomato any longer. I get my knives sharpened a few times a year at a cookware store and have not been very happy with the outcome. Jeff sharpened all of my kitchen knives as well as my gardening tools including my lawn mower blade. I used the house call service. All of my knives were razor sharp with a great edge. I think my gardening tools are sharper now than when I bought them! He quickly returned my call when I initially contacted him and texted me to confirm our appointment. He was pleasant and very professional. The cost was reasonable and he worked quickly. I liked the house call for the amount of items I needed sharpened. I asked about the lawn mower blade when he arrived and he took the blade off and reassembled it for me afterwards.
