When they came to the house I was surprised to see his team. I was just expecting him and maybe two but he had at least 5 men or even more working with him! They were amazing!! We have tried to hire several different landscapers, some off Yelp and some recommended by family/friends, over the past 9 months. This is the second service I had with GreenView Landscaping. The first service I have some trees trim which they did a fantastic job. The second service I had a bunch of bushes on the side of my yard which is causing rodents to come in and eat my plants. I had GreenView come over to remove those bushes, secured-side fence with a barrier and lay down a mesh sheet and put rocks on top which now looks a lot cleaner now. They finish the job In about two days. I spoke with the owner and agreed on a fair price. Nice guy. We had our trees trimmed this weekend. Jorge provided an estimate, which was reasonable and fair. We checked their insurances and workers comp, etc. and all were in good standing. The crew came out on time (even early) and began the work. They trimmed / laced our eucalyptus trees that had been topped. The team did an excellent job of covering our neighbors flowers as the limbs began to fall. The team also did a great job of cleaning up the yard and retrieving brush from the neighbor's yards too. We need the trees trimmed about every two years so we are glad to have found Green View. We'll use them again next time. read more

These guys were awesome! I kind of got lucky because I was calling around to remove an extremely large tree and the first company I went with kind of stood me up and that led me to search around for other people and I was very lucky to be forwarded their contact information. They were able to send someone over almost immediately for an estimate and their price was extremely competitive. On top of that, within a week they were able to schedule the work. Their work was top-notch. The tree was in a difficult location on top of a retaining wall and the tree was extremely large. We had the entire tree removed and their crew of four workers were very quick and very careful with the work. I was shocked at how much they were able to get done in such a short period of time. They did an excellent job with cleanup as well. On top of all of this, they are licensed, insured, and have worker's compensation. Anytime I have a large or small job that needs to be done with trees, they would absolutely be my first choice. We had already designed our plans with a local landscape architect and shared them with Rafael (the sales department of Green View) and days later with the owner, Ismael. He told me what day we could expect his bid a couple days later. But the bid never came. I reached out to Rafael by text and voicemail over a week's time asking what was happening and when we could expect the bid. He was aware my husband would only be in town briefly to review them and he was confused why he would totally ignore us. My experience as a designer and chronic remodeler is that how Contractors treat prospective clients says a lot about their character and how they value human beings in general. I accepted anyway, scheduled the job for today at 8am. No one showed up. Managed to get through to him, he said he'd check on where the crew was. No return call, no crew, nuthin. Tried calling again, no answer, and he keeps his v-mail box full so's you can't leave a message. Stay away. read more

Greenview was recommended to me by another upstanding tree service that was booked out. Greenview just came and trimmed 2 palm trees, a pepper tree, and removed a giant fan palm from our yard. From the minute Rafael showed up to give us a quote they were professional, knowledgeable, fast, and thorough. While grinding the palm stump they accidentally severed an underground drip line which they capped and said they would come back to fix, I loved that they were so honest and willing to repair it quickly! These guys showed up and in a couple of hours were completely done, they took every scrap of branches and leaves with them - I couldn't be happier with the results! I have fragile fruit trees all around where they were working and they expertly didn't touch one of them while they worked! We had a different tree company come and give us a quote and I felt that it was too high and we would've had to wait on the tree removal because of costs, but Greenview came and quoted us for less than half of what the other company told us! We purchased our home a year ago. We took our time designing and executing a landscape and outdoor oasis that would fit our family and work within our budget. We would have not been able to do this without Green View Landscapers. Ismael, Rafael and the rest of the team are professional, reliable, hardworking and go the extra mile to achieve your landscaping and tree service needs. They are licensed and know what they are doing. They are helpful and have excellent recommendations and feedback, but are not pushy. My husband and I had a vision and they made it happen. They always returned our texts and/or phone calls in a timely manner. All of the quotes they gave us were accurate and extremely fair. Their work is above in expectations. They started by demoing the overgrown and unpractical backyard. We have three young children and wanted to have a yard for play, a garden and a pool. They then trimmed back our neighbors overgrown ficus, removing rat nest and taking bougainvillea out to prevent further issues. The team salvaged the existing backyard fruit trees and blueberry bushes and replanted them along our fence line for better yard usage. After that they removed the front yard grass and planting against the home. We wanted the front to be palms and water tolerant along with walking paths. We then switched gears and did our pool, knowing that when that was complete we would have the team return to finish landscaping. Ismael and his wonderful, kind, hardworking team came back and first removed dirt to level the backyard, put in all new irrigation and sprinklers, laid Bermuda sod in the backyard near the pool. We had worked with local owned farms to purchase plantings and planted most of the palms, flax, bromeliads, some more citrus and fruit trees, plumerias and a small vegetable garden. The team ran irrigation, put weed barrier and mulch into all of these areas. They added river rock to the front to protect the ground from erosion, since we live in Fire Mountain we get a lot of water in both our back and front yard when it rains. They added drains and moved existing drains to make sense for when the heavy rains hit us. We wanted specific materials and pavers. They made sure to get us what we desired at a very fair price. We wanted walking paths and gravel. They laid class two, first to prevent the pavers from sinking. I watched them level and align everything. We have a larger shed going the back, that we will use as a cabana and guest room. They put in a trench drain near where the shed will be located to prevent water damage. They also put weed barrier there and more class two gravel. We are very happy with the outcome and love our new landscaping. Our children enjoy the grass and walking paths. They really created a perfect and safe outdoor living space for our family to enjoy for years to come. Every penny we spent was worth it! I would look no further! We are originally from the Northeast U.S. and are new to the area. We are unfamiliar with what's required for the upkeep of palm trees here on our property. Our Queen Palms were becoming yellow and unhealthy. We also noticed spikes were used on our trees most likely commissioned by the previous owner. After calling ArborAge and getting a recommendation from them to call Green View, we made an appointment. Ismael was able to come out the next day. He was very informative and helpful in diagnosing our tree problems and giving us excellent advice. We are sad to learn two of our Queen Palms will probably not make it but we will try a few remedies before we decide to remove them. However, if or when we need them removed, Green View's prices are very good. But on the bright side, we are looking forward to planting fruit trees and more landscaping bushes. A very good experience from start to finish. Jorge worked with us over several days to fine-tune the irrigation and mulching services we needed after planting nearly twenty new plants and trees in our yard. Once the quote was done we were able to get scheduled in less than two weeks which is very fast based on my experience. The guys showed up right on time and worked to get everything done before sunset on the hottest day of the year (so far). At the end we went through and tested everything with the irrigation and they were able to clearly explain the changes that were made and even spent an extra thirty minutes fine-tuning one of the lines to water one hard to reach succulent. I was looking to have my tree trimmed and my neighbor's tree removed. My neighbor is still dragging his feet. Two months after the initial quote, Ismael shot me a follow up text since Ismael was in the area and finished a job early. We received the courtesy notice from our HOA: "Please trim Pepper Trees away from road." We've been here a little over a year. Last year, we brought our Northern California arborist crew down here for the first hit at the trees on Shangri-La because, admittedly, we have trust issues when it comes to our trees. And, upon purchasing the property, we could see that the trees had been previously hacked and topped-off from unskilled labor. Now we're on a timeline (HOA fines looming) to get the street-side trees within compliance of the HOA CC&R. The time had come to...take a deep breadth, use the resources on Yelp!, trust the reviews of other customers/clients, and (jump)...find a local arborist. To Yelp! we go. We were referred to Green View from another Yelp! 5-star arborist whose plate was too full this week. We hit the jackpot with their referral. The Green View team have been with us for two hard-working days and they did a fantastic job! They laced and shaped the Pepper, Coral, and Palm trees; the fruit trees in the orchard; they worked stump removal of all the tree stumps throughout the property from the dead and diseased trees that we had removed last year. The crew took the mulch from the stump removal and spread it throughout the property. They left the property spotless of any tree-trimming debris. The orchard trees are so happy. (They had been neglected for years - including our first year on this property while we hemorrhaged money to stop the cries and screams of larger property needs.) Ismael gave us a fair quote and his team were able to start at the end of the week. They gave us "all hands on deck" 8-hour days. We fed them well-deserved lunches. These people took advantage of a single mom with her father dying while this was going on...So this is what happen was I originally got a quote from a fence company but I needed some trees removed before the fence was put up and so I knew a tree trimming company. When I got them to get a quote they told me they do all things outdoors and the one guy quoted 17k for everything I wanted. I said my budget is 10k and told him what I wanted done. That was to include fence, tree removal and stump removed on two trees and then one tree cut down and my first mistake was when the guy passed me over to Fernando he said he need the money for material first 7,500 (my friend told me I should only have to pay 10 or 15 percent up front and they should have money of credit to pay for the rest till job is done) then he wanted me to cancel the check and give cash because the bank didn't deposit it in his Account soon enough, then my other mistake is giving him the check in his name and not company and not even get a contract or itemization was givin to me. This was all done in May and they still never finished and did a very bad job by not securing the posts or enforcing them. The fence on my neighbor side is bowing out. My final mistake was paying 2k for the labor to the actual company and they never finish the fence... I never paid the last 500 because they just delivered the glass, that goes on my fence and I have it just sitting in my yard after been nagging by my friend to them to bring the material and finish. The guy also told me the tree removal and stuff is actually extra and I said no my total is 10k and was said to the other guy, I told them that was my budget and I would have never hired them in the first place because all I wanted them to do was tree removal. They also say they Will show up on certain days and not. They bring people to work on a tree for an hr then just took off because they had another job to do and left my stuff. They left trash of fencing and nails on my driveway and I asked about the trash and they said they would haul it, only to leave it there 2-3 weeks and the city gave me a citation. They left material all over my back yard and the material fell on my glass table and shattered and they used a blower to blow it. I have dogs and a toddler, and they picked up one of my tools. So this was a nightmare that will never be fixed and 5 months of hell and will need another company to fix. read more

Update Since I first used Green View I've called them back twice to do jobs for me, and sadly my experience have not gone so well. Yes the jobs have been completed but with major inconveniences. The second time I used the landscaping service who did a big job for me I received a letter from the cement company they used for the job. They advised I owed them money and if it wasn't paid it would turn into a lien against my house WTF! I contacted Green View regarding the letter I eventually received a call back explaining that the guy they told to pay the company never did but was taken care of. I requested some sort of proof that it was resolved but I never received anything. I believe in second chances so I was like ok I'll call them back to remove a huge bush in my front yard and trim some trees in the back. Well my set time and date was canceled because one of the guys went home sick which i understand but it was the no call backs to reschedule that frustrated me. It wasn't until 4 days later and a frustrated message i sent i received a response that they apologize and will come the next day. They did come did the job, and still charged my 20 bucks more than the price we agreed on lol. yeah you bet I wont be using them again. read more

I just wanted to pass along a positive experience with Green View Landscape & Tree Service. My home has quite a few palm trees along with several other trees that hadn't been trimmed for several years. When I called the company that I used last time, he said he was actually inundated with work, but recommended I call Ismael at Green View. The bottom line, for almost half of what the previous vendor had charged several years ago, with taller trees, more overgrowth than last time I had work done, Green View did a better job. They were quick, efficient, and clean. My yard was left with barely any evidence of remnants of the work that had just been completed. I highly recommend them. My disclaimer is that I have no ties to this company. No deal with him if I send referrals. I'm just like everyone else, I get infuriated when I get poor customer service or feel I've been taken advantage of by a business. We used this company in May 2018 to install a fence, irrigation system and sod. Antonio came out and quoted the job. His quote seemed fair and he was professional. But when it came time to do the job he handed it off to Fernando. Things did not go smoothly. The job went from 10,000 to 14,000. We did add some extra fencing and irrigation, so we were okay with that. But the sprinkler system he installed was not sufficient to water the sod to be installed so he had to add more valves. We felt like he should have known that from the beginning but let that go too. Our problem now is with the sod installed. Initially we were told by Antonio that the sod would be the kind that reseeded itself. Fernando ended up installing a tall fescue that does not reseed. We also let that go. But now the sod is dying in spots. And since it does not spread, those spots are not going to fill in. We watered according to their directions. We have a well so water is not an issue. We are thinking maybe fungus? We have text these guys several times in the last few weeks and have yet to see them. Now they are not even responding to our texts. We used this company based on their great reviews on yelp. I have never left a review negative or otherwise, but felt it was time. We spent a lot of money with them and their follow up is not good. ***update*** We spoke with someone at west coast turf (where they purchased the sod) and she confirmed that fescue does not reseed. She also said it is not the best choice for hot areas of the county, like Ramona Antonio called us and sent two guys out to replace the bad fescue spots for now. . Antonio has agreed to come out and replace the existing sod with a Tifway Bermuda that does reseed (regenerate). Which is what our original quote stated. Per Antonio we will only pay for the cost of the sod and not the tear out and reinstall. Unfortunately he said it will be at least a month before he can get the work done and He has not given us a date for the reinstall yet. I will continue to update this review and will happily give them a positive review as long as this plan is followed through. Mistakes happen and I am cautiously optimistic that Greenview will make this right. ***update*** Greenview never returned to fix this situation. Never called. Never even dropped off a bag of seed. This review is long overdue but I was trying to give the company a break to fix the issues. I first contacted them in August 2020 for sod installation in my front and backyard. To be fair they responded fairly quickly. I decided to go with them because of the price and because they could do the job within a reasonable amount of time. The original estimate was for tall fescue but after some emails we decided to do St. Augustine. Despite some delays, and some issues with crew showing up late I was fairly pleased with the job. The problem started couple of weeks after when some areas of the grass were not growing and the irrigation system was not working. It took them couple of visits to figured it out. Even after the irrigation system was "fixed" those areas never grew back. They also installed the wrong sod, I wanted St. Augustine but they did Bermuda instead. I also had issues with the DG installation, it didn't survived even one mild rain here in SD. Now after almost 6 months and even with proper lawn care my patio looks awful. A lot of the areas have no grass at all. I contacted them and initially told me they will send someone but it has been more than a month and never heard back from them. The initial interactions with the company can be deceiving, they seem nice and responsive at the beginning but as soon as an issue arise they disappear. I also question their landscape knowledge in general because they didn't provide any recommendations or instructions unless I asked them directly. I wouldn't recommend them. read more

I had my front and backyard "turf'ed" by Tony Martinez a couple of years ago. No problems, they did nice work. I called this company very recently and I was informed that Tony is now handling their commercial jobs. I was contacted by George who came out and reviewed the additional turf I wanted installed, about 500 sq ft. He told me that he would work up an estimate and email it to me..... Never heard from George again. I called "Silvia" twice, each time she informed me she would touch base with George and someone would get back to me. Never heard back from either of these two people. It was hard for me to give this business a 2 star rating as whatever job they did was excellent work. However it was the follow up from which I was the most frustrated with. We had gotten our HOA approval in the month of October and understanding that there was an issue with getting materials in time it took them about a month to start. They were able to complete almost 90% of the job by January and that's when the delays began. It took them almost 3 months after that to get to 95% completion and I literally had to call and ask them to follow up to finish the remaining work. I kept getting dates and time when they would be here to finish the job but they would never show up. I wouldn't even get a message or a phone call that they were not coming. After 2 months of promising dates I lost my patience with them and had to request a final date. Once they committed to it, on the day they were supposed to come they started talking about issues with the invoice. I simply argued that the balance which was equivalent to the remaining job would be paid at completion but that was not acceptable so we had to part ways with them. Very disappointed that I couldn't get my front yard completed. I would recommend this business if you are able to clamp down on dates and plan. Quality of work was good! read more
