Mario and his crew from eagle paving, will only give you poor craftsmanship. on top of that they'll use low grade asphalt. after a 1.5 months, my driveway is very soft. you can't even turn without ripping up the top layer... Save yourself a lot of trouble and use someone else. read more

Sloppy work and inconsiderate. I didn't hire them, the HOA did, but I'm disappointed. Work crew used blowers sending dirt and debris into my garage ruining some laundry and then sealed the garage door shut with tar. When I called to have them open it they sent out a foreman to take care of it. He was friendly and apologetic. read more

If I could give Eagle Paving zero stars, I would. Our original proposal was just over $10,000, but in less than a year, it skyrocketed to over $19,000. They repeatedly delayed the work, and when they finally started in December 2024, we thought progress was underway. Now it's April, and the job is still unfinished. Our asphalt curbs & gutters were getting seriously potholed & pitted, and Eagle Paving did a great job making our street look like new. They gave us a detailed project schedule so we knew when to move our cars & when they could be parked on the street, and followed the schedule they set. We chose to get a concrete apron to our driveway too, and they made that look good as well. One year ago (Summer of 2016) our Homeowners Association, Mirasol in Rancho San Diego, contracted with Eagle Paving to repair and replace our driveways and parking areas. This was a large project in which Eagle removed and replaced 676 square feet of damaged asphalt, applied a one inch overlay to another 960 sq. ft., a two inch overlay to 29,264 sq. ft., seal coated 181,532 sq. ft, and replaced twenty-five linear feet of broken concrete swale. I am posting this now because one year later the job still looks wonderful and we are completely satisfied. Eagle's Account Manager, Brian Grigonis, walked every foot of our project with Board Member Tim Hampton, our Maintenance Chair, and me before and after the project. We were present during all of the work and can attest to the professionalism and courtesy of Brian and his entire crew. This company is THE BEST to deal with !!!! Our HOA community needed a new complete driveway ( 71,000 sq feet ) I met with Joel jr and he was so awesome to work with ! I gave him the info and within days he had a bid ! He and I were in contact through the whole process and anytime I had a question he answered me RIGHT away!! The whole thing went so smooth all the guys were great to work with ! They put up notices that the work was going to be done notifying people they couldn't use their garages for two days . Then when they started digging up alllll the old blacktop they discovered a pipe break that was so deep we never knew about it . My new neighbor needed to add a driveway easement for a hard to negotiate entrance. The Eagle Paving team came out and did an amazing job. My husband went over to watch and almost jokingly asked the guys if there were anyway that they could help him with the lip of our driveway. As you entered or exited the bumpers scraped due to a high angle. They chatted for a while and he then went to the store. When he got home, he found that they had smoothed out the entrance--AT NO CHARGE--with the leftover pavement from our neighbor's job. NO MORE SCRAPING! THAT is what I call excellent customer service. I have told anyone that will listen about these guys and showed pics of my neighbor's and my driveway. These guys are awesome!!!! I am a commercial property manager in San Diego, CA. In 2012 after obtaining 3-4 bids at two different properties across the county, Eagle Paving was awarded both jobs. The first involved 10,764 SF of skin patch, 4,158 SF of cold mill and 2" overlay, 184,614 SF of seal coating, restriping of all parking stalls, and re-painting of all painted curbs. The second involved 7,967 SF of cold mill and 1.5 -2" overlay, 145,561 SF of seal coating, restriping of all parking stalls, and re-painting of all painted curbs. Both jobs were performed 5 months apart from each other. Eagle Paving was excellent to work with on both occasions. Their bids were wonderfully detailed, setting the standard for comparison among all bids obtained. Once awarded the job they arranged an on site meeting to strategize; in one case they personally met with the tenants to inform them of the upcoming work. They provided maps of the areas that would be worked on and dates of the work in each area. As the work progressed they called me with updates if they ran into any difficulties, and even extended their patching in certain areas if it was needed. The second job had a few delays due to weather and they kept me informed as they quickly re-strategized the job. We had a few cars remain at one property (despite numerous notices) which prevented Eagle Paving from finishing all parking stall striping and they gladly returned the following week to complete the job at no additional cost. To add to these two wonderful experiences, the account rep I had been working with notified me in advance when Eagle Paving was scheduled to do work in the vicinity of a third property I manage, and as a result they were able to take care of removing a few trip hazards at that third property at a very reasonable cost. I highly recommend Eagle Paving for concrete and asphalt work jobs of any size. They are very professional, organized (they do not drop the ball), and go the extra distance to ensure that each job goes smoothly. read more

We hired Eagle to pave our driveway. A few weeks later it started to break off. They came to check it and agreed that it had been poorly done so they came back to fix it. They patched about 80% of the very small driveway and left it all full of patches that were very visible. When we complaint, they gave us a free coating (we paid for one and they did the second one for free). We were told that with the coating, we would not be able to see all the patches they did. Now it is a few weeks later and the patches are still visible. I don't understand why if they had to patch 80% of the driveway, they didn't just repave the whole thing. It would have probably taken less time, and would have resulted in a much better end product. Our driveway is not large and is now full of patches. Not happy. read more

Eagle Paving showed up with out notification and began hacking my 40 yr old tree canopy in half. I ran out to inquire and the Project Mg. Juan said "We are contracted by the City so we have the right to do this". I called the City will take this further. It has ruined my tree, appearance of my property and the value. Project Estimator said there should have been a knock to let you know. There was NOT! No warning no notification so I could have my Arborist properly resolve the tree trimming. I was home so was the neighbor that they finally moved to next door and started hacking into her 60 yr. old Magnolia tree. This is an outrage!! They came onto our property standing in our yards and destroying our trees and that's okay? NO! What a horrible company and the City needs to know what's happening by the companies they are contracting. read more
