Usually I like this place because the prices are average and the pedicures are okay. However, this last time sealed the deal about me not coming back. These are rushed nails and not what I asked for at all. I specially mentioned tapered square nails which means your corners are sharp, my nail tech did not know what a tapered square was in the first place. I've had good experiences with pedicures here. Manicures not so much. I just get basic manicures with regular polish and they always seem rushed. Twice I've been told that my nails were dry and good to go, but the polish got messed up just from getting my keys out of my purse or putting on my seatbelt before I even left the parking lot. Maybe I just am not a priority customer when I'm not getting a pricier service. This was with two out of five manicures. Yesterday though, the technician accidentally cut the nail bed of my thumbnail, making it bleed and sting. She apologized several times, but charged me full price. The guy who did her nails seemed nice and talkative but not good at doing her nails. She brought it up to the lady doing her pedicure and her & another worker tried polishing over the nail polish again, to cover up edges that were left unpolished. I went to see what had happened after her pedicure and she showed it to me & i addressed with another worker because you could see thickness and left over acrylic on the sides and under the nail and she said to polish it again, mind you just going over and over the nail polish already existing. When I first moved to San Antonio, I went to this location a few times because it's very close to where I live. I quickly realized that, though the nails look really nice, every time I would get dip or gel my nails would chip or crack within a day or two. Because of this, I stopped going. I shouldn't have to pay $48 for a gel pedicure instead of the regular $28 because their technique isn't long lasting. I ended up switching to Jolly Nail Spa out by my school in southeast San Antonio with 100% no problem at all. On Tuesday evening, I decided to come back and give Pro Q nails a try since it's been a year and I wasn't in school . I noticed three gel nails were chipped the next morning. I called and they said they would repair it no problem. I called the next day after some thought and told them that I just wanted a refund because I don't want a repeat of my first experiences (always willing to fix the chip soon after but the nail polish continues to chip anyway). I was taking precious time out of my day to go back and have them fix stuff over and over. They told me they do not refund services, so I asked them if I could replace the gel polish with dip and pay the difference. I figured that would maybe give me a chance have it last throughout my upcoming birthday weekend. I walk in this morning for a pedicure and the technician does a pretty ugly job shaping my nails. She cuts them too short and some of them look like triangles or some abstract shape. After telling her I no longer wanted the pedicure from here, Jenny attempted to come fix them, but she also said they were short but would look better and smoother after they are buffed. I told her that the nail polish will chip if my nail edges aren't smooth. She offered to paint them for me herself and I agreed. But she also didn't know one of the reasons why I didn't want the pedicure anymore is because the equipment did not look clean. I asked her how often they clean their equipment and she said "for every client." I wanted to ask her "what do you clean them with?" They look dirty, but it may be because they soak them in a solution or maybe they consider rinsing them the same as cleaning them. I tried to be as polite as possible, but also assertive because $28 is a lot to pay for something I could do at home (and do better). I'm willing to spend money, like when I spent $125 on my previous manicure to have exactly what I wanted (by Gwen at Oasis Nail Spa - she is in the top 5 nail artists I've seen in SATX). However, I HATE spending money on low quality when it takes me the same time and effort to do it myself. Please reach out to me if you know of any salon that UV cures all of their equipment in packages and/or uses disposable tools. That's the quality I'm used to. Sharp and clean tools with technicians who know how to shape and tend to their clients nails. Im still here and I think Jenny is going to do my regular pedi polish and dip mani, so fingers crossed! UPDATE: Jenny didn't do my pedicure polish or my dip. The pedicure looks a lot better and is still terrible and I had to ask the tech to clean up the pooling polish from the edges. Hopefully, it lasts. The dip looks fine. Just wish I could've had a good quality gel job and have all of my nails match. read more

I'm new to the area and found this place through Yelp. First impressions is that the salon is very well kept, has an elegant feel, and can handle a high volume of patrons. Unfortunately, after I walked in I had to wait about 30 minutes for anybody to acknowledge me since it was so busy. Even then, I had to address a gentlemen working there that I had an appointment for 4:00pm (at this point it was past 4:30). He quickly flipped through the appointment book, found my slot, and apologized for the wait. He was very sincere and quickly led me to the back where he started up the pedicure spa. Following this, another 10 minutes or so passed while I soaked my feet and waited for my nail lady to get started. She was quiet but friendly. I really appreciated how meticulous she was on both my pedicure and manicure. Later the gentleman I mentioned earlier came to the back and had a short conversation calling me by name (which impressed me seeing as I was new and that he even remembered). He seemed friendly and all employees happy to work there. As for the quality of the services. Very good! The massage was very nice and relaxing, my lady really payed close attention and focused on every detail going over my pedicure and manicure a couple times until they were perfect. When I accidentally smudged my polish she quickly redid my toe without making a big deal about it. My only two complaints are A.) The wait was excessive despite having an appointment booked. Additionally, I was at the salon for over 2 hours for a service that is usually 45-60 minutes B.) It's quite pricey. For a simple spa mani/pedi it was $48. I've received comparable service at other salons for $35. Bottom line would I come here again? Yes. read more

This is so strange I'd advise against coming here This place is a nice facility friendly staff but I believe due to a communication issues or something my nails fell short of the results I was seeking - As you can see the dip wasn't filed down sufficiently- the right thumb was a repair from a different technician as two of my nails had chipped after a 1.5 weeks of having just had them done. They got my husband in right away; I had to wait less than five minutes. Chong (I hope I spelled it right) took care of me and was very nice and polite. Great conversationalist. Asked them what product would last the longest on my nails and was told their more expensive powder would last about a month. Well a week and a half later and it all lifted and chipped. The powder was way too thick to begin with and the white of the French was too thick as well. Also while there I did not see them open a new package for any of the instruments which means using these instruments on multiple people without cleaning or getting a new one. That's an infection waiting to happen. Terrible job on the cuticles. Did not take care of them at all properly just used the grinder. They grinded my nails so much my nail beds hurt. Expensive. This place is honestly awesome, I've been bouncing around nail salons for a while now and I couldn't find one that had great quality for the price. I'm not cheap but as a college student I don't feel like I should pay 40$ for short, square nails with one design (which is exactly what happened with the turquoise). They were too thick and really uneven and the nail tech made my nail bed bleed because of how deeply she filed it. I paid 22$ for a fill here and she reshaped my nails, thinned them, evened them out, and all. I was much happier leaving the salon this time around despite the hour long wait.
