I had been going to a different salon in Helotes, but was turned off by dismisive personalities and excessive grinding of my nails for dip. Ann's was a breath of fresh air. Abby greeted me when I arrived and is a great asset to the salon. Wonderful personality, knows her client's names, can take you right to the color you want based on little description and is jusy overall very pleasant. Watch out - she's also a great salesperson! Nancy did my nails and she did a fabulous job. Even though this is dipping powder, my nails look natural and feel great. Note: I had broken a couple of nails before coming in and opted to not add tips to make them even length with the others, so that's why a couple may look a little shorter in length - that was my doing and preference to not add a tip. I had a terrible experience at Ann's Nails. I am disabled and my tech continued to make fun of me while I was getting a pedicure, which I get to help with the neuropathy in my feet and legs. The tech told me I looked unkept, sickly, and then compared me to another patron in appearance. I have long maintained hair, a beard, as well as MS and walk with a cane. I respectfully reminded her that I was there for a pedicure and that I did not appreciate her comments. She went on to ask me if I was in the hospital recently and if that is why I looked so poorly. I dismissed this snarky comment made in front of my wife and other patrons in salon. The tech also did not honor the Signature pedicure that I requested and paid for which included treatments and extended time which she did not perform. One big toe was cut down into the quick and the other was not trimmed or clipped at all, after numerous requests. Needless to say, I will NOT be back. read more

I am warning women do not get any massages here, especially from men. Read their other reviews on Google and Yelp. A family member went here and she was left alone with a man named Guy doing a pedicure. The husband and wife team that own the place left for the night and so it was just our friend and the employee named Guy. This man started offering an UNWANTED massage and she did not ask for a massage. He was dangerously pushy and kept telling her he would give her a "free mini massage", and if she liked the massage, she could book an appointment with him. He then downright assaulted her - he UNDID HER BRA WITHOUT PERMISSION, touched her chest and breasts to the point where she had to run out to get away from him. She had to run next-door to Great Clips to get help while he pursued her and tried to restrain her. He tried to hold her wrist and grab her purse to keep her from running out of the store so he could convince her not to report him. He repeatedly said "I'm afraid you're going to report me. Please don't report me" and I'm quoting him. She threw cash at him to pay her pedicure bill, jumped in her car and left We are going straight to the police to make a police report. I want all women to be aware. This man is VERY dangerous. read more

Went in for a lip and brow wax, the older lady was rude and rushing even tho there was only 1 customer! When she waxed my lip she did it so quickly and then told me hair wasn't coming off, that my hair is too thick. This has never happened, the room was kinda dark. When I stepped outside in the sun light I was shocked to see all the hair still there. I have been coming here for awhile now, but that ends today. The pedicures are sloppy and rough. The owners and constantly trying to sell products from makeup to alkaline water. My niece and I went in to try this place and I got Fills with gel polish and she got a new set with coffin shape and gel polish. My fills came out fine but my nieces nails not so much. They are not cute at all! The lady that did the fills her name is Chin Thi and I'm not sure of the young girl who did the new set. But here are pictures of both sets. The worst thing was he did not clean my nails after applying lotion. I did not notice at the time. Three hours later, however, the polish basically slid off my nails. This place did not live up to its reviews. Went with my girls for mani-pedi. Disappointment. Our pedicures came out looking satisfactory. One daughter had shellac. The girl did not paint within the lines. There is shellac beyond her nail beds. My other daughter the manicurist cut her skin about 5 times and had to be told to stop forcefully. Very close to my home, no wait, and the interior is beautiful. Unfortunately that's the only good things I can say about this place. I explained to the nail tech that I needed a new set out on; I did not want white tips, and I wanted mine almond shaped. I had to keep reiterating that I did not want white tips, and I had to ask her to taper my nails more several times because they were still very boxy looking. She was very rough and used her finger nails more than she used the actual tools, dug a pair of unsanitized nail clippers out of a pencil box under her station, and used those to clip the already set acrylic in an effort to make them narrower. 45 minutes and $40 later, I have the most mediocre manicure in my life. The "gel" top coat she put on has bubbled down my index nail, and none of my nails are anything like even. I'll be going home and reshaping them BEFORE my plans for this evening. read more

Well I thought this place was going to be pretty decent. It's cheap if you're on a time crunch or just wanting a cheap mani/pedi. The lady doing my nails did not do a great job. She was blowing on the polish as she did my toes and did not use a toe separator. I understand you get what you pay for but I was a little disappointed in the service. I'm not sure if I'll come back since this is my first time here. The nail technicians that were here are over 50 and I'm not sure if these are the only nail techs. As she is using acetone to neaten up the polish, she painted my toes several more times because she removed the polish she just put on. read more

I went in last week, and the technician ran my credit card through the machine twice because there "wasn't any paper". I asked her if I would be charged twice, and she said I wouldn't because she canceled the first transaction. Well, I was charged twice. Since then, I have gone back to the store twice to try and get them to fix the situation. They have been very difficult giving me excuses like "the owner isn't here" and "we'll check into it and get back to you." I just got off the phone with my credit card company and have disputed the charge with them. This was way too much hassle for an average to poor mani/pedi. Choosing to go with the latest and greatest dip polish, it started to chip from my nails two days after visiting the salon.

i have my graduation tomorrow and wanted to get ready for it with a simple pedicure and a brow wax. my outfit is white so i thought it's a perfect color for my toes so it could match. when i was asked by the older lady that works there what color i had chosen she gave me a disgusting tone. she responded with "white????" looked me up and down and then said "okay" you could just tell in her tone that she had such a bad attitude. while i was getting my pedicure done, she was so rough with my feet. so rough to the point where the edge of my nail began to bleed. she was sloppy and quick with my nails. during this she started asking about my boyfriend and telling me to bring him along and she continued asking questions about him, and i don't see why it was any of her business. it made me beyond uncomfortable. during the whole pedicure she continued to be rough and hard with my feet.. i'm paying money for a nice experience not a half ass one. my toes came out kinda crappy. theres polish on my skin, the color isn't even fully done, there should have at least been one more coat. when i was going into the room to get my brows done, everything was going fine and i thought my brows looked okay for a second but the lighting wasn't good for me to tell. i wasn't going to tip because of her attitude but i could just tell that she was being forceful towards it. anyways, when i got into my car, i was in complete aw.. my brows were completely uneven, my right one was more thin and arched while my left one was thicker and more straight. when i saw it i actually wanted to cry. there was hair still there and there was patches that weren't even touched. the only time i will be coming back is for my acrylics WITH ABBY. and i don't even know if i will be coming back because this is my second time having a bad experience WITH THE SAME LADY. she's always rushing and is just so rude. read more

I recently visited Ann nails while I was please with the end result of my manicure. The nail technician drew blood not from one cuticle but two. Which is very painful. My impression was that the nail tech had to work fast to so she could move on to the next customer. A pro is that the salon did have the SNS dipping powder which is a healthier option than UV light. As peviously said I am pleased with my manicure NOW, but I did have scabs on my cuticles for four days. So customer beware. read more

Very disappointed with my experience here. The first coat I got was very transparent. I asked for white since I wasn't satisfied with the first color choice. The woman doing my nails then painted over the first coat with the white coat, which you can see under the white coat. It looked extremely messy and thick. To make things worse the woman was extremely rude to me for no reason at all. I originally wanted designs on my nails, which was a simple floral design. They told me they couldn't do it, even though I asked them from the start of the experience and said they could do the designs. When I went to another worker so they could do the floral designs the man just redid the base color of my nails, because I was just gonna walk out with no nail polish at all because it was so poorly done. He ended up redoing my nails. Which you can see right through the shellac color I picked out. I was gonna get a little gold sparkles on my nails , and he told me AFTER he's done with my nails it's $10 per finger which, he did not tell me ahead of time. This was not a relaxing experience or satisfying at all. I'm still upset and won't be returning. read more

I went on a week day so they were not very busy. I went with a "Time for Nails Pedicure." Only $35. Comes with a massage, salt scrub, paraffin wax (MY FAVORITE!), and polish. Everyone was very nice and greeted me when I walked in. The building is very clean and well kept. The lady who did my feet really took her time and did a wonderful job. Really enjoyed the massage chairs. I recommend this place! The price is very reasonable and you get a lot more compared to other places I have been. I will be back! read more
