My bathroom layout, and all materials and furnishings for that matter, were absolutely awful. The previous owner made really poor "improvements", trying to convert the original single bath into a 1 1/2 bath. But without consideration for entryways. To enter the "main" bath you had to walk *through* the 1/2 bath. Basically it was a large bathroom with two toilets, separated by amateur sheetrock and pocket door. I'm selling the house so wanted something more presentable without spending an insane amount. I had a pretty good idea on things to target while keeping costs manageable. I then had half a dozen remodelers and contractors come by to discuss options and give estimates for a nearly full bath remodel. Many were friendly and knowledgeable, but also couldn't help but push upsells. They kept ignoring my goals to tell me "what I really wanted" which was $25-30k worth of work. Definitely *not* what I really wanted. Finally, I found Pro Perez. Fernando understood my goals and talked to me about a range of options and estimates. To help keep costs low and achieve the look I purchased the main components - tub, vanity, faucets, flooring, wall tiles, mirrors, and lights from Home Depot and Wayfair, with guidance from Fernando. So when I had everything picked up and/or delivered, the guys set to work. Fernando, Omar, Johan, and Francisco over the course of about two weeks. They found and replaced rotted wood and a large old cracked pipe. Fernando kept me informed along the way. They also laid out temporary floor covering to protect the halls and other rooms and did a great job cleaning up each day. The end result is amazing. Highly recommend Fernando and his team! We recently worked with them to remodel two bathrooms, paint/texture interior walls and ceilings, install recessed and accent lighting, and replace all interior and entry doors. The two bathrooms and interior doors took a total of about 5-6 weeks. Paint and lighting took about three weeks, and the entry door was done in just a few hours. They work efficiently and even when they were pulled away to other sites at times and could only send one guy for the day, our project never felt delayed. Pricing was more than fair, competitive, and transparent compared to other bids we received. Working with a contractor is such a collaborative relationship and that's exactly how we felt working with Fernando. Communication was easy, he checked-in regularly with updates and clarifying questions, and we were able to troubleshoot minor issues together mid-project. For our primary bath, we used a stone fabricator to make a custom vanity countertop and shower curb. Aside from handling the scheduling, Fernando worked with him to complete the measurement, installation, and even handed the fabricator a check since my husband and I weren't home to deliver it ourselves. This review was long overdue. We had a large backyard that was in terrible shape and it made enjoying the pool or entertaining friends and family almost impossible. We got quotes from 4 different contractors before we found Fernando via a referral from a relative. From the very first meeting, we found Fernando to be very professional, humble and diligent and provided a detailed quote. He also recommended a great place to go and pick out the materials of our choice. His crew was very professional and always arrived on time and took all the necessary precautions to prevent damage to the pool, the pool equipment and the A/C unit. Fernando was always available via phone and provided daily updates on the work being done and would come in daily to check on the progress and answer any questions we had and make any changes we requested. I have worked with Fernando and his crew on multiple projects this year. We started off with full renovations of two showers that were leaking and unusable. Our initial meeting was to brainstorm on the approach and produce a material list. I opted to select the tile and shower door at KZ Kitchen Cabinet and Stone. Then I sent a copy of the receipt over to Fernando. He handled the pickup promptly in addition to setting up a day to start the demo. His crew showed up on time and worked quite efficiently. On day two Fernando purchased building materials and got started with the restoration work. He is diligent in providing updates. So I knew exactly what work got done and the plan for the next day. Within 4 solid working days the shower was near completion. The last day was the hardest since his crew shrinks down quickly as work winds down. I had to move quickly to ensure proper inspections of the finishing work. I wasn't expecting both bathrooms to complete in under a week but was pleasantly surprised. Fernando is available to this day to answer my questions and perform minor adjustments as needed. It is hard to ask for much more, especially given the overall fair pricing. My second project with Fernando was a conversion of a dated sunroom on short notice. A project that should have taken perhaps 3 months was reduced to about half that time, with stellar planning. I met with Fernando twice so he knew exactly what I wanted. Then, he sent back a bid and I immediately accepted (after receiving other bids which were a lot more). Once again, we agreed that I would handle the selection of finishing products while leaving the purchase of building materials to Fernando. I was amazed by how quickly Fernando's crew was able to schedule once I purchased key materials and asked for a pick-up. Initially I thought I would have to wait a month to get started but I was pleasantly surprised when Fernando agreed to start within a few days. The demo process went by quickly, in under 2 days. The reconstruction phase progressed swiftly. I am used to seeing many schedule gaps to accommodate incoming materials and inspections but this was hardly the case. Moreover, Fernando's crew shows up early in the morning and on time. They are meticulous and thorough so you can see the quality work, step by step. Keeping up with them to get inspections completed was probably the hardest part. Though there is a language barrier with key members of Fernando's crew I never had to worry about Fernando's availability to communicate. Over the span of the project I requested modifications and some small additions. Fernando was able to quote me engineering change charges at a fair price (never once a surprise). We worked on a reimbursement and advance system that kept things moving along. It has been about two months now since the project ended and the quality of the work still holds strong. His crew is professional and extremely nice, which was important since they were working in and around our home (with two toddlers running around) for quite a number of months! He promised a professional job and finish. We did remodel of 2 1/2 bathrooms and some high ceiling recessed lights and painting. It was a good sized job of removing the tubs and replacing with standing showers with barnstyle sliding doors, new toilet, vanity, medicine cabinet and all around tiles. Since our initial meeting until the completion of our project, Fernando and his crew have always been professional and friendly. He listened to what we want to be done and provided great suggestions on how to make it even better. Our chimney had damage after the last big storm and since we never use our fireplace even once since we bought our house, we decided to have the fireplace and chimney removed, and install a window in its place. Finding matching steel roof tiles and laminate floors proved impossible since they are older models. Fernando was able to find near identical pieces for us, without charging us extra. When it was time to start the project, the storms were still going on and off. Fernando and his crew worked fast and efficiently during the demolition and installed the new window and closed off the wall before rain started again. They finished the job a couple of days earlier than schedule because they want to make sure everything is done before the next storm starts again. After the project is done, they also did a great job cleaning up all the outdoor debris. They were attentive enough to notice an unrelated clogged gutter drain and cleared it unprompted. Overall, we had a great experience working with Fernando and his crew.
