Honestly i've never felt more at home than this salon. Mimi takes care of me very well I always come out with the greatest looking nails and I can't tell you the amount of complements I have gotten on the nails and I constantly tell people to come to pro nails. Also they do eyebrows eyelash extensions you name it. I'm always uncomfortable about people doing my eyebrows but let me just tell you I have never seen my eyebrows look this good. Check out pro nails!! read more

My friend booked two appointments today for us since she said she had seen good reviews for this place. The drill used on my nail wasn't clean and even cut me a couple times at my cuticle. My pedicure was very nice up until i saw a giant cockroach out of the corner of my eye. The pedicurist didn't try to hunt it down or kill it! He grabbed my shoe and shooed the roach away. The towels used on me were dirty and already used. My manicure turned out great, I just wish it would have been sanitary. However I will never be going back because of the roach problem. read more

I didn't like the first color of polish I picked out so they re painted them for free.. I will def being going back here from now on (: read more

I decided to try Pro Nails. Overall my nails look nice, but I felt like my experience was short changed. I started with a pedicure. It was by far the fastest pedicure I've ever received. She was rushing through (to get to her next client I'm assuming) and the polish on both of my big toes is bubbly and uneven. I also had a manicure which entailed of her cutting my fingers when trimming my cuticles. There was no massage or even lotion put on my hands. I'm pregnant and 4 days away from delivery so I was really looking forward to a nice relaxing massage. The price was cheaper than other salons I've been to but I would rather pay the extra for the full service. read more

I asked for acrylic nails which is $20. They told me to then pick my color with a huge keychain like thing with every polish painted on it, so I had no clue what brand it was or type of polish. The lady was pretty rude to me, and the place was extremely dirty. Extremely. She ended up doing solar nails on me with shellac polish, which I did not ask for, and of course it was much more expensive. However, she did such a good job and it was probably one of the best sets of nails I ever had. On the wall it said that shellac on solar nails were $40. She charged me $45, assuming I was probably some rich girl with daddy's credit card, which I am absolutely not. I regret now not saying anything and refusing to pay, but she clearly screwed me. I will not be going back here. read more

Came here after having a bad experience at a different nail salon, they returned my faith in nail technicians, he was friendly and he listened to what I wanted to get and made even better recommendations. My nails came out thin and natural looking I got a gel full set and I was very pleased. read more

Only 30 dollars for a mani & pedi. The massage chairs are good. They have free bottled water if you ask. Nice workers, but they do speak in their native tounge so you never know what they are talking about. Could have spent a little more time and a little more muscle with the stone on my heels, but every thing else was great. I would recommend this place. read more

I don't know why there are bad reviews.. They're probably older and haven't been back. Anyways, I'm a new student at UNT so I'm very close to this nail salon. I get my nails done every two weeks back home so I'm picky on where I go. I read good reviews so I decided to give this place a try. It was amazing! Not only are they very nice and polite, they're CONSISTENT. I've been to places that have been good the first time but then they feel as if you're a regular, they don't have to try as hard. Vicky does my nails and does a great job. Everyone is so polite. Also, my friend got a small discount because of the wait. They really care. They're also always busy so make an appointment. For those complaining about cleanliness- you might have just visited before their remodeling. I have only been here after their remodel but it's so nice and clean now. I'm picky when it comes to nail salons. I like this place a lot, and that says something. Don't trust the rude reviews saying they're not nice or inviting, it's such the opposite. They actually care. I've actually seen reviews talking about their language they speak, and that's the rudest thing I've ever seen. No matter what language they speak, they try their hardest to communicate and give you a good manicure. (I always get pink and white solar nails) read more

Grime. Questionable tools. Fairly good job. The end. Jussssst kidding. Here's the nitty gritty. I was visiting from out of town, it was getting late and my cuticles were showing tremendous wear and tear. I dashed into Pro Nails, even after reading the review that told me it was not the cleanest place. I was hoping for the best but when it came to sanitation and cleanliness, was disappointed. The tools that she used were not sealed, they were in a box that was marked "clean" but it looked dingy and after she dug at my skin with them she threw them back in the same box, which was the only box of tools to be seen. Hmmm.... In addition, her workspace had used cotton balls on it leftover from the previous customer. While I didn't come into direct contact with them, it just showed that cleanliness wasn't a priority. Gross. And the cherry on top was when I went over to the drying area and put my hands on the counter under the lights, I could actually feel the oil and grime. It was disgusting. She did give me a decent manicure though. And I haven't noticed a flesh eating disease taking hold of me so I think that I'm in the clear. read more

WORST PLACE EVERRRRRR DO NOT GO HERE!!!! The customer service is HORRIBLE !!!! The whole time all they did was talk shit in their language and laugh at everyone. Not only was the service horrible but the guy had a serious attitude and I know he called me names to his friends. My nails were HORRIBLE I STILL HAD PAINT AND GLUE AND MY PEDICURE WAS RUSHED AND SLOPPY! I was nothing but nice to them, I hated myself for paying I should have just walked out... but, don't waste your money or your time- HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!! DO NOT SUPPORT THIS BUSINESS ! If it was up to me I would have them shut down! I only rated 1 star cause there was no negative star option read more

I've been to most of the nail salons in Denton, but this one is the only one I go to now. It's nothing fancy, just your normal nail salon, but the prices are the most reasonable I have seen in town. Though the regular polish selection is a bit limited, they have a ton of options for gel nails (though I wish the sample swatches were a bit more organized). The staff is always very welcoming and remembers me by name and does their best to accommodate me quickly because I always do a walk-in. This is the only place I go to for my mani/pedi as well as eyebrow and lip wax. Be sure to ask for Yvonne, she's a perfectionist, super sweet and gives the best hand massages! read more

Everyone was very nice. It was very clean, something I always check, with their tools autoclaved and a fresh pack opened for each client. My deluxe pedi was fantastic. I will return for sure. read more

The nail technicians were friendly and everything looked very sanitary. They tried to up sell, but weren't forceful or pushy at all about it when I refused to pay more than my initial selection. The prices are reasonable and the place doesn't smell too strongly of polish like many nail places. Overall, I'd come back again and maybe even try the more expensive packages. My tech (Don) was very nice and I'd recommend. read more

Great place if you just want to drop in. Nothing special a typical nail salon. Sterilization a bit sketchy. Not the cleanest salon, but will definitely get the job done! Cheap! read more

I love this place!! Affordable pedicures that will last a month at least, free wine, and super comfy chairs. My favorite part is that they don't rush when messaging your feet and legs so you leave extra relaxed. This is the only place I will go. read more

I wish I wasn't as upset as I am and as I was yesterday but here I am. A man (Carlos) started working on my feet and I thought nothing of it. Just trying to email some professors and catching up with my friends via text. Then he started scrubbing my feet and this is where it went wrong. He used a callous scraper and what seemed like a Pumice bar to clean up my feet. Now I'm not saying they were perfect, but they weren't bad enough to use on my feet for 5 minutes per foot. He scrubbed so long on my feet that I have cracks and cuts that didn't exist on my feet before the appointment. My decently time pedicure (they're usually about 30 minutes) took him an hour and a half. Absolutely ridiculous. I'm never setting foot in there again. read more

Not special at all and very unorganized. Didn't seem clean. My nails broke within 2 days while opening my fridge.

Really Ghetto spa. 39 minutes wait. No one knows what's going on in there. Small towns always have bad nail salons. It never fails...outside waiting for my manicurist to be ready she said 5 minutes which means 20. I had to literally be like HELLO how long is the wait!? Can I get service lol the salon is ghetto and unclean. Sad place. read more

I never ever write reviews! however my experience here was awful I don't recommend it. The guy that was going my nails was so rude and also the lady who charged me made a mistake and charged me a second time and told me to "figure it out." never going back read more

Was referred here by a friend. Took almost no time to get in a chair. My nail guy was super sweet. Everything looked cleaner than many places I've been before. read more

I love it here. Yvonne does my nails perfectly every time. If you go as a walk in during a busy time, it can take a while to get a chair, but if you make an appointment, they have a chair waiting. I have tried many nail shops in town and I have finally found my go to place. read more

I've always been pleased with the how my nails look when I leave this salon. Tony has been doing my nails for around a year and is very methodical on detail. My husband has been getting a pedi for over six years here, and loves it. read more

They are friendly but I had to stop going here because my nails would chip or break everytime I got my nails done here. The nail techs do not do a good quality job. Their are many other nail salons in town that do a way better job! read more

I'm furious with my treatment today. Wanted a gel manicure and left after the non-English speaking guy ruined EVERY nail on both hands. The brutal scrapping off of the previous gel nail polish was painful. Totally ruined the nails; surface rough and left too weak to handle the equally abusing filing of my nails. He filed so carelessly and roughly that he actually split one nail up the middle. I. WILL. NEVER. GO. BACK. Oh yeah, when the owner was called over to interpret; didn't EVEN try to keep me or apologize or explain. Flippantly processed my payment for the removal of the gel polish, the top layer of my nails, and the removal of nail growth. I'm still so angry with them. read more

Gave this place two times to get my nails done and ended up with fungus in two nails. Won't go back! Plus you get two different prices- one was a little to greedy! I do not recommend this place. read more

Pro Nails - Nail Salons Near Me - Denton, Texas

I would not recommend, due to the fact that I went in there thinking the acrylics would be $25 since that's what the guy on the phone quoted me. Then when I get there I double check and apparently there are 3 different types of "acrylics" which are regular (regular polish), powder, and gel. When I think acrylics I think powder or solar so when I get in there the powder costs 35 instead of the 25 the guy quoted me, which is fine whatever it's only $10 more. So I proceeded to get almond shape nails and the guy that did them did a great job. So he tells me since I got powder it was $35, which was fine because that's what I was told before hand. I go to pay and the guy at the front tells me it's $45, and I told him the guy that did my nails said it was $35 and they talked to each other and apparently the guy said $45 I mean I could've misheard but I'm pretty sure I didn't. The receptionist tells me it's $45 now because I decided to get almond shaped nails. They decided to charge me $10 extra dollars for the damn shape. I didn't even get a fancy design I just got plain white nails. Not only was I quoted the wrong price at the get go, they charged me for the SHAPE of my nail. I find this completely absurd and I will not be recommending this place to anyone, such a rip off. read more

I love this place. I got a mani/pedi after my bar exam with girlfriends. They have great people, comfy chairs, awesome nail polish selection, and long lasting nails and pedicures. They are also really consistent with their service and everyone there does a great job so you don't have to worry if the "one person" is available. They are also very professional and I have never met a salon so engaged in their customer. Aside from manicures and pedicures, their waxing is superb. I am 100% loyal to Pro Nails for their waxing. read more

I have been coming to Pro Nails for years! They have reasonable and competitive prices and they are so friendly! I love walking into a place and everyone knowing my name. I have been going to Pro nails for awhile, only because they don't cheat you like others here in Denton. BUT do not like being rushed, do not like how my nail lady does nails....making me bleed everytime and nails look horrible only after a week. The last 3 times I made a appointment and had to wait 30-45 minutes......this last time I walked out, and will NOT be returning. read more

I've been going here for at least 5 years and I love it!! Great service...Mimi is awesome...and so is everyone else. And they're almost finished with their remodel...it will be beautiful when completed!! Give them a try...you won't be sorry!! read more

The lady who did my nails was very nice. Only complaint is that when she was done it already looked like I needed to get a fill and they were pretty pricey they charged me $50 for a full set. read more

I've never had my nails done, (I know, I know.) I recently moved to Denton and was in the area so I stopped by. I had a great time there, the price and the styles were great! I got an acrylic white and pink set done. I'd definitly go there again I was also given a student discount which was really nice. Overall, I had a great time there and would continue going there again. read more

First I asked to see more of their regular nail polishes (which they keep under their front desk and only display the crappy polished to get you to spend more on the gel polish since those are the only ones they have colors in) they have me crawl down on my knees while the technician sat there and wouldn't move to let me see anymore polishes. After finally picking one I showed her how I wanted my nails shaped and she said oh that's $35 ( it was just a rounded tip) and I tried to explain that on the menu it states $25 she said there is an up charge for getting a different shape. Don't waste your time here. read more

Came because of the reviews on google but the guy rushed through my pedicure it only lasted like 20 mins and when he asked if I wanted more wine And I said yes he said no?? read more

Walk in and automatically start getting yelled at from across the room what I wanted to get done. All of the guest are just staring. Then as I am getting my nails done the guy yells at me because I took 5 seconds to decide on the nail length. The work was rushed and he did not even clean up not give me time to look at my nails before he put the clear coat on. when I asked him to paint the side on two nails he denied and said that the nails were fine. Then tried to charge me $30 when its 25$ for an acrylic short set. Not coming back here ever to get yelled at again. read more

Been here a couple of times for a mani and pedi. I got the $25 pedicure and it chipped off in two days. I went elsewhere to get a pedi and come to find out this place gave me a fungus on one of my toenails! The worst. The mani was decent a little lumpy. Guess just depends who you go with. Still cannot get over the fact that this place gave me a fungus! read more

Used to go before and during renovations. Always received VIP, offered soda, water and or even a little wine. Kids offered water or sodas. Can't tell you how many times I've been here. Now I'm just a number. Service not the same. I've tried to make an appointment with the main owner but I was given someone else instead 3 times. I figured it would be better to make appointment versus walk in, but it wasn't. It wouldn't matter what level of pedicure the massage was always great, so paying for the highest would not necessitate a better massage. As much as I would try to communicate my specific needs I wouldn't get what I wanted. I would repeat and try to keep a smile on my face. Then I was made to blame. It's always embarrassing trying to communicate what the need was and have to repeat them, then my nail would fall off within 2 weeks anyway. It's too hard to come back so soon to try and fix it, so I won't be back. read more

My friend and I had an appointment to go in for a pedicure. We both got the $30 deluxe pedicure. I asked my technician to cut my nails down super short. She did not. I asked her again and she said they were already too short. My cuticles and dead skin were not taken off. My technician and my friends technician were whispering and talking to each other the whole time. At one point they both left us and walked away and were gone for a few minutes. They rushed through the massage. My friend took a bath 4 hours later and the polish peeled off. Very disappointed in the device and for the money we paid. read more

I made an appointment, however when I arrived the technician was working with someone else. So I am thinking if u r on a time crunch, go somewhere else. It's sad to say with such good reviews already that my experience here was disappointing to say the least. Me and my mother went for some mother/daughter mani/pedi bonding time and left feeling like we wasted our money. The wait time was no existent so I give them credit for that but that was their only shining feature. As soon as we came in and picked our colors we were ushed to the pedi chairs were my guy had already had it set up and waiting, while my mother sat in the chair next to me and had to wait as the lady filled her mini tub. I was already getting my nails clipped and buffed by the time the lady even sat down and did anything with my mom. Both people rarely talked to us and were chatting in their native language which made both of us feel uneasy because they barely even acknowledged us. As far as the pamper aspect of the mani/pedi my guy did wonderful and my feet and hands felt amazing but my mom unfortunately did not receive the same level of relaxation. While I got color on my finger nails my mom asked for just a clear coat and the lady only clipped and filed hers, not even so much as a base or top coat applied, same with her toes although she did get a couple coats of color. When I got my fingers painted I had to ask for a third coat because the color was streaky and you could see my nail through it. We left spending $70, $20 for each pedi and $10 both for my nails and the clipping my mom received, which we both felt was an overcharge since the lady completely ignored my mom's request for a clear coat, and a $5 tip for both. To make matters worse, it was weekday that we went so it wasn't as if they were busy and need to get to other customers, one employee was even sitting on her iPad at her table while others were working. In all the experience was alright but I won't be finding myself back in there. You may get a wonderful experience when you go, or you could end up with the same shoddy service that we got. read more
