I've been here 4 times now after moving from my previous Toyota mechanic (who had started becoming…read moreless reliable and a little suspicious). He's corrected emergency repairs from another shop - working with me by phone before I brought the car in. His recommendations and prices have so far always been within expected ranges. The only things I'd call out for attention are: - invoices you get outline repairs done and work/charges, but don't have detail on, e.g. brake measurements, fluid levels before topping off, etc. - they don't include brake inspections by default, at least for maintenance visits I've done. I've had to ask them to check each time. Good mechanics that you can implicitly trust are hard to find. I don't have that yet fully given I've only been here a few times so far, but I've got a good feeling and good results so far.

I can't thank the team at The Toy Shop enough! I had a very weird and sporadic issue with my ABS…read morebrakes going off randomly in my Rav4 while driving which was incredibly scary and dangerous. It would cause the car to think it was slipping and brake out of nowhere. This was also so hard to diagnose because it would be miles and miles before it would happen and be undrivable until turning the car off and on. Amy and Greg went WAY above and beyond and took the time to diagnose the car and kept it with them until they could have the issue happen again. Most other shops would never have done this and simply would have dismissed it until I could show them the issue first hand. I am so very grateful they took the time to help find and fix the issue and highly recommend them to everyone! They have a new life long customer and my family and I will never go anywhere else. Thank you so much again!

I had taken my car to another local mechanic to diagnose a problem with the air conditioner. They…read moremechanic said that a house needed to be replaced, but they were not able to do it because they do not have the equipment needed to evacuate the existing refrigerant 1234yf. They referred us to the Kia dealer, which I knew would be very expensive. So I did some research online and found Franklynn Automotive. I called and described the situation to Steve. He said they likely can handle it, but would start with a complimentary second opinion. After their inspection, they determined that the hose does not need to be replaced and we only needed to refresh the refrigerant, which they do have the equipment for. In addition, the reason the other shop might have suggested the hose replacement was because of a leak related to the axel. All in, the repairs would be substantially less than the dealer quote for work that may not have been needed in the first place. Overall, great experience with Franklynn.

I brought my car in knowing about a loose wire ( speed sensor) on my Hyundai Elantra. The…read moreinspection came back that I needed new brakes , a new speed sensor, contaminated brake fluid, multiple hoses replaced, radiator flush, and a bunch of other things. I decided to get the brakes fixed although it surprised me with the rotors and the wire harness just needed to be reattached. Nothing was ever communicated. I made the mistake of paying over a $1000 for the front brake repair ( rotors / pads) and wiring speed sensor because I was busy. Bottom line - overpriced on labor and parts. My wire harness over left wheel was taped up so was it replaced? My mechanic friend inspected it and says no way. When I asked if I could see what they ordered, I was denied access. My car sat outside most of the day and it was in garage minimally according to my car gps. Your call but I am not going back and I do not trust them. Lesson learned and I'm out $1000 which isn't much but I'm just glad I didn't fall for everything else they wanted to do. Front brake pads for $1000, a wire repair never communicated, and my old rotors were fine. I'm sure they will respond to this professionally but my perspective is real.

If you own a Range Rover, you know the relationship is part luxury, part emotional support group…read more Travis at Import Sports is the only person I trust with mine. At this point, my Range Rover gets more excited to see Travis than it does me. He knows these vehicles inside and out, explains everything clearly, and somehow manages to keep me calm when the dashboard decides to light up like a Christmas tree. Honest, knowledgeable, and genuinely great to work with. I wouldn't trust my Range Rover anywhere else--and that's saying a lot, because this vehicle has expensive taste. Thanks for always taking such great care of it, Travis!

I brought my vehicle in for diagnosis/repair of some O2 sensor wiring (wires coming from the car!)…read moreand emissions issues. The shop recommended replacing multiple oxygen sensors and quoted over $1,400 in repairs. (Ended up paying only $300 at a different shop and did not change a single sensor!!!!!) However, I had recently already installed a new downstream O2 sensor, and I was disappointed that their recommendation focused on only replacing parts rather than clearly explaining what testing had been performed to confirm the sensors were actually faulty. The damaged wiring and connector were obvious issues that I asked to be repaired and tested, but I was never provided voltage readings, continuity test results, or any detailed diagnostic information showing why random ADDITIONAL sensors needed to be replaced. (Seems like all they do is read codes and change parts over there) Would not recommend to anyone who is not car savvy....or anyone in general for that matter. ;))

Showed up at 3:30 to retrieve my truck and they hadn't even moved it. I understand that things happen and people get busy but a little communication goes a long way.
