Pro Glass saved the day after we took a road trip to Houston during the holidays to see family, and I was gifted a gravel rock cracking our windshield which was not repairable via a small chip. The recent cold has been shocking the spread of this crack, and with vehicles getting smarter and smarter these days, meaning a simple new windshield, requires camera recalibration to the glass being installed and what not. I called the Subaru dealership in Austin, since I wanted OEM parts, but since I was also going thru insurance with Geico, they said they wouldn't approve dealership prices with market rate payments associated to fixes of windshield repair. I found Pro Glass from local word of mouth, and they were so friendly, quick to get the invoice and claim thru to walk me thru the process of working with insurance and get me in the books with me explaining I wanted OEM glass installed since I imagine having the added extended warranty means I need to keep all the original pieces of my subaru if the eyesight or cameras start to fail later on. My experience here was just okay. I had to replace my driver side window after it was damaged in a storm and came here because I saw they had 5 stars. The 3 star review is a result of me having to drive up to their shop three times for them to attempt to resolve a wind noise issue I experienced after the 1st install. I was told that the noise was being caused by an improper fit from the non OEM window they used and they suggested I install the OEM window instead because they thought it would fit better. I agreed to go that route and had to wait a couple weeks for the OEM window to arrive. However, I never received a call from them that the window was in. I had to call to find out it was there. So, for the second visit they discovered they needed additional parts for the install that had to be ordered, which meant I had to schedule a 3rd visit. Finally, the OEM window was installed the following week, but I can still hear the wind noise while driving. I discussed the problem with Shane and he thinks it is an issue with the door frame and not the window install. Unfortunately, they do not perform work on doors and he suggested I have a body shop look at it. The folks that work here are courteous, but I just wish they were able to replace my window in one visit instead of three and were more helpful in resolving the wind noise issue. read more

If Yelp offered 10 stars this place would get it. I cannot believe how smooth and professional the process went; and it was an insurance claim through Geico. If you're debating Safelite or Pro Glass, please don't even bother with Safelite. Aside from their less than stellar reviews, by the time Safelite got back to me (I inadvertently put in a request through the Geico app) our car was done with a beautiful new windshield from Pro Glass. I called on a Tuesday, glass was ordered and delivered on Thursday. They wanted to get us in on Monday; I mentioned it'd be difficult. Tracy (rockstar) was able to get us in on that same Friday. Car was ready in less than 2 hours with all necessary electronic calibration finished. I can't say enough - and their 5 star status is absolutely deserved. I can't wait to crack another windshield! They said they couldn't do an on-site repair like they did with my Lincoln, because my Mazda had a different safety system and so it would take all day in the shop. I drove there at 8 AM and took a Lyft home instead of waiting. Got a call just past 11 AM saying my car was ready, but when I took another Lyft to get there I double checked that they recalibrated the lane departure warning system. They didn't, because, "the tech couldn't find the setting and so assumed it didn't have it." So here I am waiting for an indeterminate amount of time (not going to take another Lyft). Plenty of time to write a Yelp review on a phone keyboard instead of doing my day job. That said, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and do business with them again. I'm happy with the glass repair itself on both of my vehicles. I'm just not happy about the inconvenience. At least they have guest Wi-fi? read more

I had a chip on my windscreen while driving on US290 behind a truck. I called my insurance company to see what to do, they suggested Safelight but it takes more than 2 weeks just to get an appointment. I didn't want to wait that long since I only have one vehicle and the chip is located on the driver's side. They fixed it in less than 30 minutes and told me that they're not gonna repair the two thin arms of the chip because there's a chance it'll crack the whole windscreen. I needed to replace the windshield on my Civic and Honda told me they work closely with Pro Auto Glass, so I decided to go with them. I worked with Leah specifically who handled the order since the beginning. When I first spoke with her, she said I would not get charged until the work was done. Keep in mind - the work included checking the sensors worked properly. I did pay Pro Auto Glass for this service. I dropped off my car Thursday morning but wasn't able to pick it up until Friday afternoon because it took longer than expected. My card was charged Thursday afternoon, even though the work was not all done. I called and spoke with Leah to ask for clarification as to why my card was charged if I had not yet seen my car and the work was not complete. She was a bit aggressive on the phone and said they were done with their part of the job and now it was just the sensor alignment that Honda needed to do. I had understood differently during our first conversation and she said "I thought it was black and white" and did not seem to care about the miscommunication. My windshield took a chip from a rock that was sent airborne from one of the ever annoying and highway bullying 18 wheelers. Yeah I was pissed, but, thankful that it was under 1" and did not run. Nothing left to do but call my insurance agent. They told me to go to one of their approved repair centers, and, once I selected a business, have them call to arrange insurance payment. After a few searches on Yelp, I chose Pro Auto. The insurance was handled pain free by them and my agent. Within a day we had set a date for them to come to my house to fix the chip. Unfortunately, on the day of service it was cold and drizzly and my truck had sat in the driveway overnight. They called the morning of to explain why they couldn't repair the chip if it had moisture in it, so we pushed the am appointment back to pm on the same day. They only problem, I told them, was that I would be out running errands and such and really didn't know when I could be home. The kind lady immediately replied "No worries Mr. B we can come to you wherever you're at". Wonderful! They called me later in the afternoon that day and we arranged a meeting spot in Round Rock. My service technician was, Jerry, and he showed up right on time and immediately got to work. He was very polite and professional and I really enjoyed our conversation while he worked. Jerry had my chip repaired in no time at all and explained that if the chip did run after the repair I could use what they collected from the insurance company towards a full windshield replacement. After doing the repair he wiped down the runners on the truck, because he stood on them, and cleaned my entire windshield! All said and done Jerry took just under 30 minutes.
