They had to replace a few parts and part of doing so meant they had to go around to every baseboard and let air out. They were able to find a new board on Thursday morning and installed it at 10AM. We can not say enough about the level of service as well as knowledge of the unit. There are a lot of choices, but after a lot of research, this company was the best choice I had made. They know chimneys! John, came out on Time, was honest, explained why my cap and bricks were failing. I had about 40 bricks that the faces were falling off? John explained that the acid from the hot water heater was causing this condition, due to the chimney flue was shot. I need to add, our house was built in 1948. Johns crew took down our chimney and started to rebuild. Once they got into it, John called me and said that I had had a chimney fire. I didn't realize this. John had said their were vertical cracks and that's a chimney fire. He recommended I call my insurance company and get their opinion, which I did. After John explained to the insurance company that a vertical crack is the only explanation for a chimney fire, they agreed to cover it. I went from what I thought was a simple replacement of a cap, to a total 8 feet chimney rebricking, to a new stainless liner on the hot water tank side, to a fire place relining. This company is so professional and keeps you up to date on the job. There is so must labor involved to rebuild a chimney. If you need any type of brick work, this is the company I highly recommend. I went to 84 Lumber so they could design the deck for my entrance-way. It was a challenging design…read morethat took several drafts in order to get the design correct. The real problem was when it came to the Bill of Materials. We had selected a "special order" composite plank from Timbertech. It only comes in 16 ft. lengths. Based on this restriction, the store needed to recalculate how much was required for the design that I selected. I was never informed that I could not return excess material and I foolishly assumed that sine they designed the deck, they also knew how much material I would need. That's why I chose to work with 84 Lumber. However, I ended up with 7 x 16' planks when everything was finished. When I asked to return the excess material since they had mis-calculated my needs, I was informed that since the planks were special order, I could not return them. As a result, at the price of $85 per plank, I now have $650 worth of scrap. If you decide to have 84 Lumber design your deck, make sure you check every detail.
