I called this shop to ask about repairing my PS5 after experiencing what seemed like a power-related issue. They quoted me around $189 plus tax and said it would take about a week to complete the repair. I wouldn't recommend this place if you need a quick turnaround, but it could be an option if you're not in a hurry. read more

I been here a couple time. I took my sons PS4 to get a new cooling fan because it kept overheating and turning off. At first they cleaned it to make sure it was not that but it was not the case they replaced the cooling fan and now it doesn't overheat and it's quite as a mouse. I'm about to head over there right now to do the same with my PS4 because it sounds like a jet engine and it's driving my wife and I crazy lol. I'm hoping it won't take long because I'm on vacation from work and I wanted to play. I had it cleaned here before and it was quite for a bit but it's back to being loud. That was the second time I came for service. I was happy both times but I honestly just want a new cooling fan for mine because to be honest I'm kinda jealous that my sons PS4 is so much more quiet then mine lol. read more

The workers seem to know what they're doing, which is really great, but I'm probably one of the few rare instances that had really "bad luck." The motherboard of my xbox 360 was totally "fried" and wasn't repairable. There's an initial down payment of $30 which I understand, but the worker that took my order seemed super confident in being able to fully repair my xbox 360 when I got there, I was confident that they would fix it. The girl quoted me about ~60-70 to fix the RRoD, which actually is a lot (since I could buy a used 360 online for $20-30 more), but I drove 30 minutes to get here anyways so I went ahead and told them to fix it. I get a text message from them a couple hours later saying my 360 was beyond repairable, so I made a quick call and they basically told me I'm out $30 with a broken 360. The funnier thing was that I sent them an email through their website asking to converse about my situation, and I never heard back... Overall, I'm pretty sure I'm a rare instance with an unrepairable console. The staff seemed nice and knowledgeable, but I'd honestly choose somewhere with little less "greedy" repair terms just incase your console is beyond repairable. There's a bunch of more reasonable repair stores around the area. This situation really showed me how much the owner prefers money over customer satisfaction. read more

When my original FAT PS3 bit the dust a trip to google educated me on the "yellow light of death" and at that point, I thought I was gonna be out $250 bucks for a new one. Or $400 to upgrade to a PS4. But further research led me here. My luck! I dropped off my unit before noon on Saturday hoping to have it fixed in a few days. Not only did they repair it and guarantee the work for 90 days, it was ready the same day! Saturday night gaming back in action. Customer service was great. Terrible. The first time I drove 45 minutes each way to have them fix my 360. I was impressed that they had it done in about an hour and ready for me to take home. Less than three months later, it was giving me the same "three red rings of death" sign. As i was never told what was wrong with it in the first place and the console was still under their warrenty, I chose to try them again. This time I mailed it to them as i work during their standard operating hours. I was told on a Thursday that my system was repaired and they were mailing if back out the next day. I never received a tracking number, which is promised in their disclaimer. I called back around one on Tuesday and spoke with Holly. She informed me that they did not ship it for reasons unbeknownst to her. As she had no idea as of why, i asked that they at least expedite my shipment. Thursday was July Fourth and i had taken a day off from work for the fifth. I work two jobs and have a three year old so inevidebly, I do not get much time for play. I was looking forward to a full two days with no mini me or work to delve straight into my much neglected and anticipated gameplay. Holly then told me that she did not know when they were going to ship and would ask about expediting. She never called back. I called her just before five and was told she THOUGHT it was going to be shipped that night but she still did not know about expedited. I then asked again to receive a tracking number. She said she would email it to me; I have still not received it. I called again today and got the same girl yet again. She offered no help or light on the situation, saying that someone was shipping them now. I asked if they expedited and she responded with, they've already been shipped (contrary to what she had JUST said and STILL no tracking number). I tired to remain calm and explain that I had asked her multiple times for information that she failed to provide, nor did she once make a step towards contacting me as promised. Instead, she proceeded to interrupt me repeatedly with how "crazy it was around there with their employees vacation schedules." Third time didn't work either. My console never got fixed and I was never refunded. Giant waste of time and energy. read more

Needed a YLOD repair for a PS3. I called before coming after being recommended by another repair center that couldn't do that repair. This location was a pretty good distance for me, so I needed a solid price and time estimate. They had a set price for the repair that they charged exactly as estimated, and had the repair done in an hour and a half after asking for two based on me not wanting to drive all the way back home. While a simple teardown and fan upgrade/thermal paste renewal was all I needed for my elderly FAT PS3, they also informed me of its dying laser reader. I was happy with the initial price estimate when I brought in the unit, but then dreaded how much this hardware replacement would be. They actually offered the exact same price as I would have found buying through New Egg. Got my unit back same day, and without too much expense for probably several more years worth of gaming/multimedia. Would recommend. read more

My laptop fan went out and the whole thing had to be taken apart to get to it. So I did it myself and changed it out. $9 Amazon item. Took it down to barebones. When I put it back together it beeped at me and wouldnt show anything on my screen. I was tired of it and thought it would be simple to just talk to the guys here about it. I was previously told by them that diagnostics are free to look at. I went in and told him what it was doing. He flipped it open and listened to 1-2 beeps and said it was the memory card not fully seated. He then flipped it over on its top with no protection from the counter which slightly scuffed the gray cover. Loosened the 2 screws on the back and slid the card off and back in. Literally took 1 minute. He then said 20 bucks no tax!? I laughed because I thought he was joking. He wasnt. I said Oh your serious. Yes. So I put a $20 on the counter and just instantly left. I was very disappointed and caught off guard on that, since I did not authorize the work to be done. Just be aware this could happen to you. I could have easily did that myself. I dont think that was very good of them and to do business on a personal level. Take it how you want it though. This is the response in my inbox from William I received. William B. Owner I find it very disturbing that you come in to someone's business and expect to get something done for free. We are here to make money we are not a charity. I thought I was doing you a favor buy only charging you 20$. My base labor is $39.99. I could of easily checked it in and charged you my base labor and you would have not even known the difference. What I did expect is standard business practices. When a business does a diagnostic, they let the customer know what is wrong and tell them the price to repair it. The customer then decides to authorize the charges and the work to be done. It's not about the money or the $20. I never asked or authorized the work to be done. Nothing was ever discussed. You just took it upon yourself to do it without any agreement. You said you did me a favor by not checking it in, but I never asked you to do anything under the table for me. I was surprised a business would operate that way. Here is my final update. 5/18/14 After all this, the owner offered to give my me money back. They corrected that issue. But it did not correct the issue on how I was treated. Which I would've left the 20 bucks there if I hadn't be rudely treated. I went in, the owner was not there, so the girl at the front desk gave me my money back and I walked out. I decided to open the door to at least Thank her for helping me, because I realized she was just stuck in the middle and had to deal with it. A manager then came out and said now that I have my money back would I take down my yelp review. The girl (that I went in to say Thank you to) proceeded to tell me my review was "stupid and immature to post a private message for all to see on a public social media site". I was actually going to take it down myself before they even asked. But, since she said it was immature and stupid of me, I decided to leave it up so future customers know how the staff treated me. My experience there and everything that happened is factual information. I was not an unreasonable or belligerent customer. I felt ganged up on in there. The manager was actually the most respectful and professional. Future customers have the choice to use this company, but I hope they do not get treated the same way. PS3 needed minor repair for stretching glitches and occasional freezes. Went in for an estimate and they said it was an easy fix, that they see this problem all the time and should be done by the end of the day. We called back the next day and the employee said it would take a little longer than planned -which is ok, we were surprised when he originally told us it would be done so quickly. Before we know it a month goes by with zero word from them. Called and asked if it was near completion, and they said yes - it should be finished by the end of the next day. Called back a couple days after and then they told us there were more problems. This cycle repeats for 3 months. Finally fed up with getting the run-around I just showed up in person and was told the PS3 was not fixable and now images don't show on the screen. They did not offer me any refund whatsoever. That same day I asked if they had any other working PS3s in their store. They said yes, they could sell me one for $100 that they swore was fixed and had only been repaired for a Bluray problem. So along with the repair cost for my now broken PS3, I spent $189 with them - just $20 shy of the cost of a brand new slim PS3. After a mere 2 months, that PS3 got the Yellow Light of Death. We were told our warranty for this one ended the very moment we opened it up, and at this point we really weren't about to send it in again. Opened it and literally written on the inside were 3 records of this PS3 having YLOD (all dating from 2011 to top it off!). Now we know why our warranty ended as soon as we looked inside. Guess $189 wasn't enough and they wanted more $$$ for the repair cost of this PS3 too? Lesson learned!: it's cheaper and faster to just send it to Sony. read more

First off, great place to come get your PlayStation fixed! Very friendly and honest. Got my PS3 fixed in a timely fashion then come to find out the CPU is slowly dying. The gentleman who I spoke with was nice and told me that portion of the system can't be fixed but gave me some solutions to temporarily fix the problems until the end of its life. Brought in the circuit board from the BCM of my car and just needed a relay on the board itself desoldered and a replacement piece resoldered. Spoke to William over the phone and told him what I needed, he said it wasn't a problem so I headed that way. Super friendly dude, we BSed for a while after I'd given him the board. An hour or two and $40 later, I paid $4 to repair a $700 car part. I took my sons console in for and estimate----I was told they would have to open it up to really see what was wrong with it---they did some code check while I was there ans I was told it either was the GPU or something to do with USB ports----so I decided to leave a deposit of 39.95 and was told it would be repaired by the end of that day or the next day----Well the next day cam and no call from them---nothing--so I called and left 3 messages and still no return call---finally on my forth attempt I called them and they said they had been swamped and they would get to mine the next day at 10am when they opened--I said ok---well got a call from them today---they said my 360 slim cant be repaired---it turned out to be the motherboard was bad????---remember I was told it was the GPU or USB ports that were bad (that's why I signed the paper to fix it based on what these professionals told me----when I inquired about the deposit---they said they are keeping that for labor even tho the 360 slim was not repaired which is why I am leaving this comment----I trusted them based on what the professionals there told me up from what was wrong with it---so in the end---they kept my deposit and handed back my console and it is still not fixed----now I understand why there was a deposit left---but if you lie and say it is one thing just to get a lousy 39.95 from someone---I say they cant be trusted----and the said "oh Well"----Now you as customers can either take this with a grain of salt---or you can use this comment to not do business with ProConsole Repair------Thank you for reading my comment.....I am a good person with good morals and I trusted what they said and like I said I did sign the go ahead to repair it based on the professionals word---so if I am guilty of anything---it was trusting ProConsole Repair.... read more

Supporting local businesses is important to me, so I hate to have to leave such a negative review for one. Unfortunately, Pro Console Repair performed unforgivably terrible and seems to show little, if any, remorse for it. Please save yourself the frustration and anxiety of dealing with this company!! Here is how they run their business: My son broke his Nintendo 3DS. We called around for quotes. Pro Console Repair quoted us a price of $50, which seemed fair. The next day (1/5/16) when we arrived at their store, the price jumped to $60. I didn't think much of it at the time. The lady behind the counter said that it should be done by that Friday (1/8/16). Friday came, and by that afternoon, I still had not received any form of communication from Pro Console Repair. I called and was told that the part needed for the repair had not arrived, and that the 3DS should be ready the following Wednesday (1/13/16). Wednesday came and went without a single word from Pro Console Repair. Finally, that Friday (1/15/16) I called them. They said that the part had STILL not come in and that the 3DS would now not be ready until the following Tuesday or Wednesday. We went out of town and did not return until Thursday (1/21/16). Again, I had heard nothing from Pro Console Repair, so I called them. The 3DS was still NOT done. They said it would be ready later that day, or the next business day. Again, it was NOT done. I filed a complaint with the BBB, and it was ONLY after Pro Console Repair had received that complaint that they bothered to call me. When they called, I was told that the part originally thought to be the problem was fine, and that another part was causing the issue. They apologized for the delay, and (wait for it) informed me that I should be the one calling them to check to see if they were doing the work I paid them for. They should not have to call me, and they didn't want to call me because they were just too busy. At least the owner was aware that they had taken way too long for the repair, so he was willing to complete the repair on his dime and refund the $50 I had paid for the deposit. They said that the 3DS would be done Friday January 29th. I figured that surely they wouldn't mess this deadline up... The 3DS was NOT ready on Friday January 29th as promised. (I should also note here that I again called them, not the other way around.) They said the new part they needed to complete this new repair was still not in. They hoped to have the 3DS done by Monday or Tuesday. They called (yay!) me Tuesday to let me know it was ready. When I went to pick it up this morning (Wednesday February 3rd) the guy said that the 3DS had in fact NOT been done the day before. Some other part broke and he had to go across town to find a replacement. Of course, they had not called to let me know this, so I am glad that I hadn't been available to pick up the 3DS the day before, when it was supposedly ready. The owner was true to his word and refunded my money. I was disappointed that while I was in the store, he never bothered to reiterate how terribly sorry he was or to try to reassure me that this sort of thing never happens. The way he acted, it felt more like this is a common problem that they have. Furthermore, the 3DS seemed to work at first, but less than hour after arriving home, the exact same problem is happening again. So we wasted almost a month 29 days) of our time for a repair that still needs to be done!! I also noticed, while on the Better Business Bureau website, one of the complaints against Pro Console Repair also talks about being told one thing was wrong when in fact something else altogether was going on. Pro Console repair kept that poor person's money, so perhaps I should be thankful I received a refund. I honestly hesitated to write this review, but decided to proceed in the hope that I can save someone else the frustration. Please take your repairs elsewhere! There are several other electronic repair places in the area that are also local businesses, and are probably far more deserving of your money and time. read more

PLEASE NEVER TAKE ANY CONSOLE/ELECTRONIC DEVISES HERE !!! I HAVE BEEN HERE MULTIPLE TIMES (paid $120 with warranty to have my modded PS3 fixed, was overheating. Got it back the next day, they repaired it okay. A few weeks later, did the same thing, so once agin took it back in. They most of the time get it done within 24-48hrs. A week goes by, no phone call from them. So I call just for curiosity, still having patients, I call to make sure everything was okay. They said they have no answers and have patients). Another week goes by (now being 2 weeks with no answers). So I go by the location just to pick my system up and have it looked at elsewhere. And the owner wasn't in, so the employee asked the repair guy what was going on with our system and he says "sorry we had no time to call y'all over two weeks, but yalls system has liquid or food damage" "WHAAAAAT???!!" My console is in a adult/smoke free home. Always kept on a clean counter. Never been dropped. He showed me the "mysterious liquid" looked like chili to me. So I am assuming one of them were eating while repairing and had a accident. Bc the previous time they repaired it, they never mentioned that to me. So people BEWARE and hopefully y'all find a honest place to go. read more
