Went here for the first time based upon the reviews and initial phone conversation, but my overall experience was not good! It all started when I took my iPad Air, 1st generation, 9.7", which suddenly stopped turning on, for diagnosis. I believe "Sam" was the person who helped me. He started to give me incorrect information on how I have iPad, 8th generation, with 10.2" screen. Good thing I knew my iPad configuration so I started to correct him. He still didn't believe me and checked the configuration online through the iPad's serial number. Of course it came out to be exactly what I was talking about. There was no apology or anything for providing incorrect information. I was then told I will get a call later that day with the diagnostic results. I clearly mentioned to leave a voicemail if I don't pickup or simply send a text. Sam said yes but whole day passed and never received any call. I got a call from an unknown number the next day in the morning which I didn't pickup and no voicemail was left. After not getting any call from the shop I called them in the afternoon and was told that call was made in the morning. I then asked on why voicemail was never left as requested and agreed upon but there was no answer or apology to that. I was then told that my iPad was open and that it is taking power, nothing wrong with the logic board, and that battery is good as well. I was then told that testing screen/digitizer is the next step but before they do that they need my permission as my original screen can be damaged during dissembling. Since I was told everything else checked out, I agreed for checking screen as that was the only thing left and I was sure that was the problem. I then got a call later stating that nothing was wrong with the screen either and that now it is the logic board light that might be the problem. I was also told that repair charges for that will be $150. I was shocked with their explanation as to why I was told there was nothing wrong with the logic board on the first call but then now all of a sudden it turned out to be the logic board? I told them repair is not worth it at this point since the same iPad in used working condition can be bought online for $50 or less. At this point I had enough and just wanted my iPad back so I didn't question or argue anything more and told them that I will pick it up as-is. I was also disappointed that now my original screen might be damaged since they "supposedly" checked my screen. Went back to the store the next week and as it turned out, my iPad was "NEVER" diagnosed and never open! It was in the same exact condition as I have left. They wasted my time and provided all useless and false information all this time! Upon inquiry on what had happened, owner/manager (Akbar) jumped in and "shush" his employee. He then told me that he can diagnose and it appeared that he had no idea what I was told by his employees. I then gave him all of my conversation history and he labeled it as a "miscommunication." He told me there was multiple iPads and mine got "mixed up." Of course his explanation didn't make any sense at all. I told him how I was lied upon and provided misinformation and my time was wasted. Akbar did apologize and told me he will investigate on why I was given false information. He then also told me that he will call around and see if he can find a local seller for the same thing for the same online price for a used working condition. Later in the afternoon I got a call from him saying he could not find anything similar locally. I was reminded again that he is still investigating regarding my issue. As of this writing, I didn't hear anything back from the owner. I am giving 2-star only because of the owner's attitude of accepting the fault. Based upon my first time experience, I am not sure if I will go back again or not. I have also noticed that other local repair shops were bringing client's devices to this shop for repairs. So just a caution that you may drop your device at a different local repair shop but it might be repaired by this shop. read more

Extremely professional and courteous service. Came in with a fine line cracks on my iPhone 6. Didn't bother me just started getting on my nerves, plus the glass had scuffs since it's my work phone. The iPhone was repaired and got a tempered glass screen as well on the iPhone. The repair was done while I waited, and they had a tv in the waiting area. Came in just before 11:30am on a weekday for a screen replacement. The place was completely empty other than the three employees behind the counter. I gave them my phone and was told it would take "30 to 40 minutes." I came back two and a half hours later and as soon as I walked in I could see no one even touching my phone. A guy was sitting in a chair across the room and got up and said "Yes, yes I'm still working on your phone it is not done." Finally at 2:45pm (over 3 hours later) it was ready. The guy then started telling me that he couldn't get the screen to turn on. I asked if it was the phone and he said that it wasn't the phone because he put the old screen back on and it still worked, yet he still blamed the phone... EDIT: Less than an hour after posting this review and the owner texted my phone number that I gave him as a customer to tell me that my review is unfair because the phone is missing some screws and had the screen replaced before. Here is my response: It is INCREDIBLY unprofessional to use a customer's contact information that they gave to you in order to contact them about changing a Yelp review they left. A cell phone repair place that quotes a 30-40 minute time should not take over three hours, especially since when I walked in it looked like the employee wasn't even working on the phone. Screws being missing or the screen having been replaced before should not make the repair take 5-6 times as long. You should especially not use customer information to contact about an internet review. read more

They offered to charge me the Groupon price even though I didn't actually have the Groupon purchsed. They replaced the screen in no time flat. But a short time later I had other proplems wth the phone and just took it to the Apple store. That's where they told me someone had stolen the water sensor out of the phone and possibly other parts as well. read more

I bought a living social to get my iPhone 5s screen repaired. You don't need an appointment, just go in. They only took 15 minutes to fix my screen! I wish I had gone in months ago. I didn't think it would be so easy. There were 2 guys in there and they were knowledgable and nice. My screen looks great and he even put a free screen protector on my screen and showed me that I could pop off my lame otter box screen. My Samsung SIII flat died (screen went permanent black) while scrolling through web pages. Aki from CG had an estimate for price and parts based on my over-the-phone explanation of what happened. However, he let me know there could possibly be something else or different wrong but had estimate on price/parts for that also. He was pretty confident the first thing was the problem though. Dropped the phone off late that afternoon. They fixed the phone (was only the first item) and it was ready to pick up at the designated time next day. I won't indicate the exact price charged but just know it was well below any competitor's minimum $100 charge. Plan on using these guys in the future for all my cell needs. Would leave -5 if I could. The glass never fit properly and the bezel is about a full mm thicker than the original glass so my case does not fit properly and it just looks and feels weird. Had to go back twice because the 1st (2) replacement screens they put on had very inconsistent lighting. However, the real problem is that the screen started to develop weird white spots after about (3) weeks and I unfortunately waited until (5) weeks to call about it. They said there is nothing they can do, no refund, no replacement, etc.. since the warranty has expired. The glass is obviously the cheapest crap they can find on Alibaba and probably has no warranty from the manufacturer. Never again will I trust a vendor nestled between low brow strip clubs on the worst part of Harry Hines to save a few bucks on an iPhone screen replacement. Apple charges $40 more for original glass with a real warranty and I wasted $60 for these chumps to sell me glass that would be better suited for coke bottles or ash trays. I posted a pic of the bezel and the spots are getting worse. I'm off to Apple and have re-learned the valuable lesson that you really do get what you pay for. Don't buy into any of their lies if the vendor replies to my post saying it was my fault, should have come back a week sooner, etc.. All they want is your money, period! read more

First of all you sir are a liar because you sent me a text after the negative review saying you would repair the phone for FREE even if it was out of warranty just last week. Second I went in less than a month because the guy even looked it up in the system and I'm sure he remembers because I was pissed off so don't try to say it was two months later. And third I doubt he diagnoses the phone with being bent from the main board and all that bs by just touching and looking at the phone you didn't seem to have a problem with it when I paid you for the screen repair.
