First off, since the gym had an indoor and outdoor section, the heat was insane indoors. Being that it was over 90 degrees outside, I was dripping sweat during my workout inside. People also didn't wipe down the equipment after use so the machines were sweaty and smelled bad. The posing room straight up smelled like BO. The ground was wet for whatever reason and the lighting wasn't flattering to pose in. I did like that it had a variety of equipment but didn't like that lots of machines were outside in the heat. Overall, probably wouldn't come again. It is also $50 for a day pass.

I've been training with her weekly since June and have made significant progress with my strength goals through the programming and guidance she has set me up with. After lifting solo in the past and not having that one-on-one in person feedback and coaching, it has been a breath of fresh air to work with someone who empowers me with new knowledge and the science behind certain areas of lifting. She motivates me and pushes me to be my best every session we work together (even when I'm full of self doubt). I've been able to build up strength across the board in all three lifts (bench/deadlift/squat) with my Powerlifting programming and exceed all my former PRs. I can't imagine working with anyone else! I will be sticking with her as long as I'm living in LA and as long as she takes clients. My programming is updated every 8 weeks and we PR test as needed. There are a lot of weird egos in fitness across LA and I can kindly say that there is none of that energy here, and Michelle is truly dedicated to her craft and very well educated on all things strength/nutrition. I'd recommend her without hesitation to anyone who can budget in working with a personal trainer. Bonus points: she's actually hilarious as well!

I went to the Venice one and the spot was actually much bigger than it looked from outside. Alex, the trainer for my Run and Lift early morning class, was super welcoming and totally delivering top-notch first-timer experience for me, paying detailed attention that I got the instructions correctly and did the right movements. The intensity of the workout forced me to my limit, but they did let people do it on their own pace. The complementary facilities like locker, shower room, and even free towels made bunch of plus points, though one downside might be I'd prefer it to be cleaner (read: the women's bathroom might need more frequent cleaning especially with shedding hair). You did have the option to indulge post the workouts by getting their smoothies, which was also available to be pre-ordered and tailored to your preference by customizing the ingredients. From the moment we chatted on the phone and initial call regarding my goals and healthy history, I immediately knew they cared and wanted to ensure there was a good plan for me. I was able to only commit to 2 months due to my move but I got the best results beyond my expectations with my progress, accountability and the overall experience of waking up so early to train. The space is spotless, super clean and felt so private. I was able to really work on my moves and get a lot of things corrected by Whitney who truly cares about long term maintenance and therapy. It was awesome to really find trainers who you can also text any time and provide you with abundance of information needed for you to really lose weight, get stronger and have a great routine with. I highly recommend Whitney and Byron, whether you are a beginner or long time fitness expert. They will go out of their ways to make sure you are comfortable and meeting your goals. As someone who did not have a strong foundation in the gym, I was looking for a trainer who could create a bespoke program and help me master form from the ground up. From day one, Whitney was encouraging, thorough, and helped me feel welcome in an environment that had at one time brought me a lot of anxiety. She was able to diagnose the muscular imbalances that were causing pain, and we set out on a routine that truly transformed my life! I, like many of us, spend a lot of time working on a computer and my posture really suffered from it. Whitney focused on strengthening and lengthening muscles that were previously pulling my head and shoulders forward, which has reduced a ton of neck & upper back discomfort and improved my posture overall. She also helped me build strength and better muscular balance throughout my lower body and abdomen. Over the 7 months we worked together, I lost 30 lbs of fat and gained 10 lbs of muscle, while also eliminating the lower back pain I had been struggling with for years. I lost 6+ inches from the areas that were causing me the most insecurity, and gained definition in my glutes, shoulders, back and legs. My time with Whitney recently came to an end after I moved to another part of town, but I would absolutely still be working with her if I could. She and Byron genuinely transformed my relationship with my body, instilled confidence and strength I had not been able to access on my own, and have laid the foundation for me to continue (and even look forward to!) a lifelong fitness journey.

He tailors your workout to your goals and helps you attack them from multiple angles (diet, exercise and mindfulness). My schedule was super hectic, but somehow he always made it work for me. In addition, he kept me accountable better than any other person ever has. Dare I say it... he made working out fun again. My friends and family started noticing the changes in my body after I started my journey with Dan. He made something that seemed impossible, very possible. For that, I am grateful. Unfortunately, I had to move away for a job. If I could take him with me I would. Trust me, you won't regret your decision if you choose him for a trainer. It's terribly unfortunate that the last review was a 1 star. I very much disagree with that rating. He is incredibly responsive... always has been from email #1. It's too bad the reviewer never met him. I'm sure her rating would have correlated well with all the others had that been the case. No question, 5 stars.

I highly recommend her to all fitness levels and anyone who wants to improve strength, flexibility or mobility. I've trained with Jen in both one-on-one and group settings for about six months. I've always been an athlete but was feeling a bit unmotivated and a little unbalanced with my current routine. Jen's knowledge of fitness, yoga and anatomy helped me improve my form, strength and mobility. Many of the exercises targeted tiny imbalances that I would never have trained on my own. Due to my modern lifestyle, job, and general stress, Jen has helped me regain lost mobility in my neck, shoulders and hips. By teaching me how to relax overly tense muscles and fire underutilized muscles, my overall body began to move and feel better. This has helped me improve my athletic performance, lose a clothing size and become much stronger. No matter what your fitness goals are, Jen can help you reach the next level. I've seen her work with clients from all backgrounds, injuries and fitness levels and recommend her for everyone. I sent her some friends who never workout, did not have a good sense of fitness and were too afraid to start working out due to injury. She's got them completely motivated about fitness and has helped provide them with the tools they need to move their bodies safely and effectively. Jen will keep you challenged, mix it up and will never let you slack on quality form. Her workouts utilize many tools from body weight, free weights, kettle bells, gym equipment, etc. She always keeps it fresh and can adapt the workout depending on how your body is responding. Always a true professional, Jen goes above and beyond in helping her clients. My time with Jen has definitely been an investment in my health and I cannot thank her enough for how strong she makes me feel.
