I'm the photo editor of a newspaper and I sent a one of our older Nikon 400mm lens to this company in August 2022 to get repaired. The lens had an issue communicating to the cameras but it still worked as a manual lens. I got a quick estimate and charged $918. About a month later I called after not hearing anything and left a message and got a quick call back telling me they where waiting on a part and it would be sending the following week. That was 8 months ago. Today is April 14, 2023, after repeated calls I have only been able to actual get someone on the phone twice. I have never gotten return calls since hte first call. The 2 conversations I did have one they where waiting for a part and the other they where repairing the following week it and it would be sent it that Friday. That was over almost 2 months ago. I have sent repeated email and left message up to today. I'm now having to weigh my options as to what to do next. read more

My lens was shipped to them back in November. They charged me 311.00 for the repair. It came back the first week in January with the same issues. They told me to send back to them, which I did, and they have not responded to my calls - it's now MARCH. Buyer beware. This company steals money for camera repairs, doesn't repair them, and keeps the money. In my case, the 1400.00 lens as well. Exceptional Service. I sent my Canon 70D camera body in to be repaired - Mode Dial had to be replaced. I shipped my camera (from Alabama) on a Friday - they received it on Tuesday and had it repaired and back in the mail to me on Thursday. I received it back on Monday - so that was a total of 10 days! The best service I've received in a long time! I was desperate for a repair of my Canon Rebel T6i before an upcoming trip to China and The Great Wall. I found ProCamFix on Yelp and gave them a call. They were extremely responsive and fast at diagnosing the problem. Their communications were also efficient and convenient with great use of technology. They documented everything, called, texted me, sent me an email invoice allowing me to pay electronically, with auto receipts and confirmations. My initial nervousness soon evaporated. I felt well cared for and an important customer. They were very sensitive to getting my repair done quickly before my departure date and bent over backwards to get my beloved camera back to me in time (~1 week). Unfortunately, even though they'd tested the repair before calling me for pick up, when I tested it at the shop before leaving, the camera would not turn on and needed to stay for further diagnostics. They kept their promise and called me immediately as expected to let me know of the issue. It turned out to need a new 'board' that required more time and expense to repair. As I could now not take it on my trip, they felt bad and offered to replace the entire computer board/chip at no cost to me for the disappointment and inconvenience!!!! Im not sure what it would have cost me but it was an amazing customer service win for my future business and thus this review. My camera now operates like new again. We sent our camera to be repaired and paid the invoice and we have not received our camera yet. The camera was received by Pro Cam Fix on May 18 per their email. The camera was repaired and an invoice was sent to us on May 27, 2021 and the invoice was paid on June 2, 2021. We have called 10 x and left messages and no one calls back. We emailed and there is no reply. We are filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and contacting the State of California Attorney General's office. We have called every month and no response whatsoever and no camera either. Don't use this company. (Grand View Church - Anthony Voisinet was the staff member contacting them and myself as well.) As of November 6 - we do not have our camera and we paid $571 for the repair. Debbie Watts, Grand View Church. Search the Better Business Bureau in California. This company has an "F" rating. They are not a member of the BBB. There are 16 complaints and MANY complaints that equipment is never returned and payment for the repairs were made and payments were not returned. In Dec 2019 right before the pandemic hit, I paid your company $271 to repair a Sony Handycam and an IPOD which you said you could fix both. I had used your company once before with good results but this time when I got the camera back the focus was not right. The issue was the tape deck which you did repair but you sent the camera back to me with the focus messed up. This is a $700 camera. Your company said that it then needed a lens which I doubt now, that you would replace at no extra cost. When I finally received the camera back the second time around march. It still was not usable. Regarding the IPOD. You said you could repair. You received payment and the first time you sent the IPOD back and said it was fixed. It was not. The original problem was the blank screen. You said you could repair. The touch screen was not responsive. Obviously, your technician did not test the items before you sent them back declaring they were repaired. You then sent me a return label and I sent it back and you never sent me my IPOD. This IPOD was a gift to my husband and cost me about $200. So now I am out of $500 and you never responded to my emails etc. The person who I was in contact with until you guys left me hanging was Arthur. Arthur if you are still with the company, you need to make this right. I would like a full refund since I still have to take the camera somewhere to get the lens fixed and my IPOD either the original or a replacement. I have a really good Sony dual-deck cassette player, and a lot of valuable audio tapes. Hadn't used the thing in a while, and when I tried it it had been sitting idle for so long that it wouldn't play tapes -- in fact it wouldn't even release the cassette I tried. On the off-chance that Pro Cam Fix might be able to do the repair, I brought it in. Well, it took a long time (the parts for old machines are hard to come by) but once I got the deck back I was pleased to find that the machine is in like-new condition -- works great, exterior cleaned up, degaussed, heads, belts, rollers and capstans cleaned, etc, etc. Thanks, Pro Cam Fix! read more

I sent my camera to this business. It was a Sony video camera and I wanted to use it to transfer mini tapes to digital. They returned it while I was out of country and my wife left it on a shelf for when I returned. I return six months later, and was excited to start transferring videos, however when I put the tape in it didn't work in fact, the cassette mechanism wouldn't close. I called them and explained what happened and they said well. The three month warranty is over so if you want to fix it, you have to send it in and will give you an estimate I sent it back in and they gave me an estimate for $176, I've already paid $252 a fix the first time. when I told them that I didn't think it was right that they are charging me for something that they didn't fix the first time . He kept saying talking about the warranty and said send the money or take it it back. Well I'm getting it back and now I have a broken camera and I'm out $252. There's a code honor that people need to follow in their life and business . There's a time to do the right thing and they chose not to do that. I would not send your cameras or any equipment to these people they are unscrupulous, and all they care about is money.They didn't fix it the first time and then wanted more money to fix their mistake. Maybe if you live in the state of California and can go down there with a baseball bat in hand maybe they'll actually do what they say. If don't live in California (like me) DO NOT USE these guys at all. They are unresponsive to phone calls and emails. They're practically scammers. I paid them $600 to fix my EVF on my Sony and they sent it back to me not fixed it all. Just from the outside it looked fixed because the screen was slightly cracked because I dropped it. They always have excuses for something, about a part not being in yet etc. Recently they told at the end of April the part to fix my camera would be in within 10 business days. I'm writing this review on May 21st. It's been 3 weeks. I called them as recently as May 16th to enquirer if the part had came in yet. Haven't heard from him in 5 days. What a joke! Fuck these guys. Smartest thing I did was ask for my camera to return back to me, amazingly they can send that back to you with no problem LOL I will be getting on PayPal shortly today fighting them tooth and nail to get my money back. I'll make that place my nightmare as they've made hardly any effort in their customer service to me. Any website that allows reviews for their company, I will seek it out and I will leave this review on every single one of those sites. I sent these people a lens to fix and got it back exactly as I sent it. Now they are standing behind their return policy and refuse to take ownership of the problem. This was a $400 dollar mistake on my part. When I lived in LA I could easily go over and bring the lens back but I don't live nearby anymore and shipping this heavy lens, again and again, isn't cheap. I received the majority of my order back no problem, but they still have my Tamron lens because they were waiting on a part and I haven't heard back from them since November on the status of my order. After speaking to a CCR rep I sent my professional Canon digital body for repair of a slow shutter. After close to a year of numerous calls and emails, to be told that they where awaiting parts, and or it was being serviced. I was final able receive a body. The body I received did not work at all. Whereas, mine even with a salty shutter was usable. Additionally, it was a different serial number from the body sent I for repairs. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT USING THIS COMPANY!!! The guy that works the store is extremely nice. He told me exactly what to expect and how long. They emailed me with a follow up call 1-2 days later with an estimate price which they don't charge to quote you. If you choose to repair it then they will advise you how long. I submitted a request for an estimate and received feedback on the amount to repair. All seemed well, so I paid the amount via Paypal and shipped my lens. Zip. Nothing. It's been over four months since I sent the lens and I have had no communication from Camera and Camcorder Repair by PRO CAM FIX by email or phone. I've reached out several times with no results. I wish I had done more research on the company, I would have quickly known to go elsewhere. I have fallen prey to what seems to be their business model of getting the cash and going dark. What a horrible experience. They made it sound like it would be an easy and cheap repair to my Sony camera and once they received it the estimate jumped to higher than anyone else I had contacted. They gave me a estimate of 2 weeks to repair. I called them after one month and they said parts were on order and it would be another 2 weeks. Two more weeks went by then another I followed up with another phone call. More excuses and promises. It's been 2 and a half months! They promised my camera would be sent last week. I received a tracking number from USPS at the end of that week but it shows USPS is still waiting to receive the camera from ProCamFix. Beware! They should be called ProSCAM. read more

My mini DV camcorder hasn't been touched in over ten years (well, really since filming a doc on NYC hot dog vendors in'99, yes, that old) and while he didn't have the charger, he rigged a boost to get the tape out- had me out of there in 3 min- and didn't even charge me. There was a streak in my Panasonic Lumix lens. Was told I had to send to dealer, no one could help me locally. Then I contacted Procamerafix. Wow, amazing.
