Review is for a man working in 8/30 in the afternoon around 4pm!…read more We stopped by looking for some hiking hats and couldn't find any in the store. I stopped someone while he was walking the hallways, not knowing he was assisting someone else, and he pointed me to a section of the store before continuing to help the other customer. When I got to the section, he was magically there to tell us of the three types of "hiking hats" they have in the store. Unfortunately, they didn't have what I wanted in stock but he also followed up with some nearby stores. Super helpful - made our trip so much faster! Thanks so much!

I had a very disappointing experience shopping here on Father's Day…read more My son was using gift cards to purchase his birthday present and accidentally miscalculated his total after adding a $63 pack of football cards. When I realized the mistake, I politely asked if that item could be removed from the transaction. The cashier immediately responded, "I can't," and offered no explanation or attempt to help. A manager was called over and seemed visibly annoyed. We were told there were only two options: either void the entire transaction and wait approximately 20 minutes for the gift card funds to be restored, or pay the difference and then return the football cards afterward for store credit. Since there was no way I was spending an additional $63 on football cards, we chose to void the transaction and wait. We specifically discussed that it was Father's Day, that we needed to get to a family dinner, and that we would wait the required 20 minutes so my son could repurchase the correct items. The manager advised us to wait near the entrance or continue shopping. After the 20-minute wait, we spent another 15 minutes waiting for the same cashier to help us complete the purchase, only to discover that all of my son's items had been returned to the sales floor. We were then told, "You just left the items," despite the fact that we had clearly communicated our plan and followed the instructions we were given. What bothered me most was not the store policy itself, but the complete lack of customer service. There was no apology, no empathy, and no effort to make a frustrating situation easier--especially for a child trying to use birthday gift cards. The entire interaction felt dismissive and unnecessarily difficult. The saddest part was that my son left the store in tears instead of excited about his birthday gifts. What should have been a fun experience became a frustrating and upsetting one due to poor communication and a lack of basic customer service.

I'm grateful for the effort, but the support I received felt more like surface‑level reassurance than real follow‑through. I've decided to take this as a learning experience and move on. I won't be shopping here again, simply because the guidance I was given didn't match what was written in the emails, and things were later walked back. I was hopeful, but it didn't work out. I also received cleaning advice that several experienced repair techs strongly warned me against. I was told to fill a bucket with water, loosen my drag knobs, and spin my reels underwater -- and a tackle repair professional told me never to do that and never to return there again. I'm sharing this kindly and respectfully, not out of anger, but so others can make informed decisions. This just isn't the right place for me.

Turns out this business is drop shipping from overseas, without full disclosure. This business advertises like they have the goods in shop and even offer a store pick up option on their website. We reach out regarding the unexpected charge. Their response to us was that we could return the goods to them, minus a restocking fee. So we pay the $45 DHL fee to receive the goods, just to return the goods, minus a fee? Alternatively we could refuse to pay the DHL fee and the package would be "destroyed", no refund. They also state that there is a disclaimer on their website regarding tariffs on international orders. Why would this apply to somebody also located in California?... Overall we would caution anybody shopping here due to their unwillingness to work with a customer and the lack of transparency.

Every other place I called I had to wait at least 2-5 minutes on hold. I drove up from south Madison Heights and parked on the side street with bakery. Smelled great! Store has enough space even in these times to allow a comfortable browsing experience as long as it is not busy. I ended up asking for the incorrect size for the Adidas Yeezy Boost 380 Onyx non reflective, and got a different size one half size up from my normal. I'm thankful that I was asked if I wanted to try the original size I assumed I needed so I could determine the correct sizing for me. This is the clear competitive advantage of shopping locally and at a brick and mortar location. I was able to inspect my shoes to ensure there were no unacceptable defects on the spot and the box which I care about keeping in good condition. To top it all off, the size I ended up with was a significant discount to prices on the market for the aforementioned 380s in that size and the previous half size down, so I ended up saving money choosing to head over to Endangered. Shopping local pays! It's objectively a better experience and ensures businesses that operate at a high level of professionalism will survive and add to our community in Pasadena and Los Angeles in general. Endangered represents this very well and exceeds my very high expectations when it comes to retail shopping experiences. This place has a ton of brands that rep the culture.
