Took my piano here to redeem a warranty with Roland. Instrument returned in significantly worse shape than it was in to begin with. New cosmetic scratches, a key that is literally not working, etc. Paid an $80 "deposit" fee, which I suppose went towards the cost of further damaging my instrument. Thankfully, Roland is taking care of this on the back end, because if they can't even test the instrument to see that it is very clearly broken and in worse shape, why would I take my instrument back to redeem their 30 day warranty? read more

I took my keyboard to this place at the end of January 2024. I never heard a word from them. I called, emailed and heard no response. Their voice mailbox was always full. I even had the company that I purchased the keyboard from call them (to which they answered) and they were given a different answer each time they called. They said the part would be in that week (each time) and should be fixed shortly. A month later I still didn't have my keyboard. I only took my keyboard to this location because it was under warranty with Kurzweil and it was the only location near my house that answered the phone. Since then Kurzweil has removed them from their approved list. By the end of April 2024 I waited long enough and called them (which they finally answered) and told them I was picking up my keyboard and taking it somewhere else. Kurzweil had other approved repair facilities listed. When I picked up my keyboard it was taken apart, they lost my power cord, one of the mother boards and several of the screws. DO NOT TAKE YOUR EQUIPMENT TO THIS PLACE. The owner is rude and lies as to the status of your equipment. His place is full of equipment that needs repairs and even he admits he cannot find help. read more

I brought a tube amp in for repair, it took close to a month to fix a capacitor what they said was a capacitor. When I picked the amp up, prior to a business trip out of the country I used it for less than 1 hour and it functioned normally. When I turned it on yesterday after less than 5 mins the same problem is happening as before. They have a 30 day warranty policy. For the amount of time they had the amp, and what the repair cost, it would have been nice if they had at least heard me out that maybe this amplifier, which had been sitting in my living room virtually unused should function for more than around 45 mins total after leaving their shop. When I found this business, they were the only amp repair shop on google within 25 miles of my house. I took a chance. If you are in need of tube amplifier repair, I would consider taking your business elsewhere. If you have business recommendations please leave them in the comments to this review, because the dirty channel still isn't working on my Amp. read more

Rude, unprofessional, and unwilling to listen to how incompetent his system is! I brought my controller to him on 10/25/23. On 12/05/23 I received an email with an ESTIMATE approval request. I declined the estimate, and was told, "we will contact you when its put back together for pick up". On 4/2/24 I received an email stating: "Mr Patterson you had a decline estimate for your unit since 12/26/23 . Now you unit is the property of Pro Audio Video Plus, and will be discarded Thank you," I called and told him I never received any notice that it was ready for pick up, and he starts yelling that he don't have space for storage and talking to me like he was deranged! I go the next day to pick up my controller and I'm told by this same idiot that it will be put back together by 2pm I can come back then to get it. REALLY, YOU ARE EMAILING ME TELLING ME YOUR READY TO KEEP MY CONTROLLER OR DISCARD IT AND YOU DON'T HAVE IT READY FOR PICK UP IN THE FIRST PLACE, NOR DID YOU OR ANY BODY IN THIS ONE RING CIRCUS CONTACT ME AFTER I DECLINED THE ESTIMATE. HE WOULDN'T TAKE HIS HEAD OUT HIS ASS LONG ENOUGH TO REALIZE HE WAS WRONG AND OUT OF POCKET. What's sad is pioneer, crown, JBL etc. etc. don't realize who they have representing their brand! read more

We had a terrible experience at Pro Audio-Video Plus. We came to pick up our module that we took out of a sub . It had not been repaired after sitting there for 8 months. 3 weeks earlier, we were there and were told they could not find , told to come back . This time we were told we could not get it because we did not have an appointment. We had already had issues with them as they lost a control board out of keyboard, supposedly fixed a powered speaker which later died after we picked up. We asked for a refund but they would not give us our money back. Beware--not the way to do business read more

Eventhough I am located in South Florida, I had a very difficult time finding someone to fix my guitar which has a sentimental value to me. Gifted to me by my late grandmother. I shipped my guitar to Pro Audio and it was worked rather quickly and sent back to me. The owner was very communicative with me, and the entire process was seamless. read more

When Steve Lee still owned the business the repairs were great!!! But Steve sold the business and nothing is the same. Now one word covers it "HORRIBLE" I bought my keyboard in for a simple repair back in May 2022 After repeated phone calls and promises of someone getting back to me I had enough. finally, I had to go in person to get the keyboard back on Feb 3rd 2023 ( not repaired), and in even worse shape than when it went in ?? now I have to take it back apart myself just to realign everything just to get it to a point of when I first brought it in for the repairs Stay far away from this place as you will have nothing but agitation and grief read more

Excellent work at a fair price. No surprises the owner is straightforward about the services they provide, I'm very pleased read more

The owner of this business is definitely a crook, he took money from me to mail my unit back and never did. I sent someone to pick up my unit and he gave them a unit that did not work and was not the same unit, or a unit that he had tampered with. I sent him a 2000 controller and because I did not authorize work on my unit. He either damaged my unit or switched serial numbers on the unit. DONT USE THIS COMPANY EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Pro Audio Video Plus - Electronics Repair Near Me - Lawrenceville, Georgia

I dropped an amplifier off for a friend, and after two months we heard nothing from them. We went to the store and they initially refused to give back the amplifier, saying that it was in pieces. We went back roughly a week later and asked for it again, and got the amp back. The amp was untouched, still not working and clearly never even taken apart. They charged a 70$ deposit for them to hold an amplifier for two months and do no work. The staff are also extremely rude, insist on communicating via email but do not respond to emails, and will hang up on you if you call the phone number. Avoid avoid avoid. Go anywhere but here. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR EQUIPMENT THERE!!!! They don't even deserve this one star I gave them. I dropped my Artesia digital piano with them because of a keynote issue. I was charged $80 for drop off and to check on the issue. Chris told me he will call me if the issue is just one key note or if he will have to change the whole key bed which will cost an additional $200 and I can decide if I want their service or not. When I emailed them a few days later to get the status of the piano, I was told I had to pay the additional $200 because he changed the whole piano. I didn't get a call to ask if they should go ahead or not but then It wasn't so much of a big deal to me then because I was just happy Chris claimed he fixed the piano issue. We picked up the piano and my daughter played on it the very same day we picked it up and she told me that the piano issue was even worse than the first time we took it in. Instead of one keynote having an issue, it was now multiple keynotes. I called Chris and told him I was bringing the piano back and when I did, he plugged it on and played it and said he didn't know what was going on but that he would change the piano bed again. He told me I would have to pay again to which I told him a big no because of obvious reason. A few weeks later, Chris called me and asked me to come pick up the piano because he has changed the key bed again and the piano still sound weird. He now claims the issue is the piano power cable. I told him the piano is new so I don't understand why it would be the power cable. Also, why change the whole piano bed, collect $280 and then suddenly the issue with the piano is a new issue? He started yelling at me on the phone for me to come pick up my piano because he doesn't know what to do with anymore, he has a headache and has to move on to the next job. He was really irate and he then hug up the phone on me. Chris is rude, unprofessional, lacks good customer service and in my opinion is not really knowledgeable in regards to repairing pianos. Even if he is an expert on other equipment, I wouldn't give him my 2 cents with his nasty attitude. I have considered this my loss. I wish I had read reviews on him and the repair shop before taking my piano there. Be warned!!! read more

This company is a SCAM!!! They will NOT fix your equipment. They will charge you $60 to "evaluate" it then do nothing. A YEAR after calling weekly for updates and being told "we'll call you back", I had to get the Gwinnett County Police involved to get my equipment back unrepaired. The police themselves said they had been there many times for the same thing. DO NOT USE THIS "COMPANY" OR YOU WILL REGRET IT!!!! read more

Brought in a Kurzweil PC3 (a 10-year-old board) with several complicated issues, all of which were fixed!
