NO SYSTEM YOU FIND ON THE INTERNET OR EVEN AT LOCAL COMMERCIAL WHOLESALERS that we use to supply our product sells the cable that connects the cameras to the digital video recorder. Cable, connectors to be terminated at each end and a power supply are needed in addition to the camera and digital video recorder. Let me be clear. If Jiang were more knowledgeable about what he/she was looking for, he/she would have caught in the advertisement that the price only included the DVR and Cameras. That being said and I haven't seen the advertisement, all advertisers need to remember that consumers not in the industry may have never been in a position to buy cameras and are not aware of the in's and out's. The details need to be included in the advertisement. Us in the industry have these materials, cables, connectors and power supplies. Hopefully people considering purchasing cameras will read my post and obviously Jiang's and can see that what Jiang is complaining about and calling a scam is really not a scam as most people would describe being scammed. CMC is a well known company in not only Houston but across the USA. I highly recommend them. Then, they jack up the price because the system does not include: 1. Power supply $89 2. connectors $15.80 + $7.90 3. cable! for $130 All together with tax that is over $1020. What kind of crap is that! I have never bought a security system without power supply, connectors and cable. Also, the security system was made in China. I just bought a higher resolution Samsung security system from Amazon.com for 30% cheaper than their final quote. True, it is likely the Samsung security system was also made in China. There was never one company that stood out from the rest. There were either very high installation fees or DYI installation with cheap products and always very mixed reviews. I never thought I would rave about an alarm system but can't stop telling everyone we know how great Home Star Protection is. Tim was great at explaining everything and only sold us what we absolutely needed. Having that initial consultation really sold us on the company. Jes was very professional throughout the installation process and took his time reviewing the entire system to us. I love that they use the current system your house already has and just upgrade it as needed. I feel so secure having this system. The alarm.com app and mymoni.com are very easy to use and offer a lot of great options. It's nice to know there are still good companies out there that won't try to take advantage of their customers. Eventually, the company that did my instilwas sold to a group out of San Antonio and then that company was bought by Alert 360. They are based out of Tulsa and their service couldn't be worse. It's as if ADT and Comcast got together and had a baby and the baby got only the bad traits. The first thing they did was jack up my rate without offering any additional services and as a special "feature" they tacked on a monthly "insurance" cost to my bill without asking me. I called up to their headquarters and asked the clerk to justify their existence. I asked why I would continue to pay them when now days, systems are automated, cheap and efficient. The woman answered that "they answer the phone faster than any other alarm company." Which just shows she totally missed the point of the question. These people are crooks, and this business model is going the way of the dinosaurs. Update: no see, I'm not trying to get anything from you. Good to know that you didn't even try to refute a single comment I made though. Should be evident to anyone that can read what a horrible company you are Update 2: Alert 360 somehow believes I care to have a "resolution" and doesn't understand what the purpose of Yelp is. Through it all, my only problem was having to deal with a customer service agent in Oklahoma (I reside in Texas), who kept talking over me, trying to make me UNDERSTAND that I have a leak in the roof. Poor customer service on her part, but that will not deter me from giving Mr. Reyes 5 stars. I recommended CSG to two of my friends. The one that had the system installed is extremely satisfied.
