L was pretty surprised that he liked the food so much. We've had Dominican food plenty of times, it's not something we eat often but since this place had great reviews, I wanted to try it; the pernil was really good here. It wasn't overly seasoned. I did throw away the excess oil from the pork, other than that, it was tender, juicy and delicious. The lil salad was a great side to the fatty meat. Will definitely return to try other items.

And I'm saying that as a Dominican with a Dominican grandfather who cooks just like this. I have NEVER been able to find a place that makes rice the way my grandpa does. Like that real, home-cooked Dominican rice that actually tastes like something. And of course I don't always want to bother him when I'm in the mood for good Dominican food... so I'm genuinely so happy I found this place. Ordering was super easy and pickup was quick. Prices are also really good for the amount of food you get. And everything I've tried has been delicious. The beans though... oh my God. I'm still thinking about the beans. For the amount of food you get for the price, it's amazing! I can't wait to keep ordering from here, and I'm honestly already thinking about placing larger orders for events in the future. If there's one local business in Queens you should support, it's this one. Hands down one of the best Dominican spots!

I curry goat was flavorful, the jerk chicken was great also. The oxtails were fall of the bone tender. They load the rice so you can feed two people with one platter easily. Delivery was decently quick through grubhub. I would order again.

I cannot speak to the atmosphere as this is based on a delivery order, but I did speak to someone on the phone who was kind and seemingly attentive, but ultimately I don't think was paying attention and was just agreeing to anything to ultimately get me to place the order? Order arrived incorrectly prepared, missing entree inclusions and wrong beverages. This order was placed at 3PM ish in the afternoon, so I am not sure why items were unavailable. Felt dishonest and was a poor reflection on the restaurant's integrity. Called to ask for recommendations and asked for jerk sauce on jerk chicken. Ordered on Aug.5th and spent $65 dollars on oxtail, escovitch fish and jerk chicken meals plus 2 mild beef patties, coco bread and 3 beverages. I also ordered mac pie, but was refunded since they didn't have it. ALLLLL entrees were missing steamed cabbage and only 1 entree had a sole piece of plantain. Oxtail needed to be cooked a bit longer as pieces were inconsistently tenderized, 'escovitch' fish was just soggy fried fish with no peppers or onions to be found and although decently spiced jerk chicken was dry...like the rice in all the entrees because there was also no gravy present. The only thing that came correctly were the patties and coco bread I didn't really sign up to eat pounds of dry rice and peas. Don't send food out like this.

Ordered large oxtail, comes with rice, plantain and cabbage. The oxtail was cooked well, portion size is good. I wish the sauce had more flavor/spice, the plantain wasn't very sweet. The atmosphere is bare bones. We ordered two oxtail lunch plates. The flavor was really good! The moro is standard moro, rice with black beans mixed in. Moro was moist and not dry. Both plates were huge. We got the lunch special for $9 per plate. What a bargain! Oxtail is usually expensive but the lunch price is extremely fair for the portion we got. Two lunches can feed 4-5 people. I guess it depends on their appetite too. If you split it with other there will be plenty of rice but the meat may not be enough but that is normal anywhere. I ordered Datiles ($10 - bacon wrapped dates), my absolute favorite Spanish tapa, as well as a Cappuccino. The Datiles were satisfyingly sweet and chewy, with crispy flavorful bacon and crunchy almond. The Cappuccino was smooth, creamy, and strong. I also had the El Camino mocktail, which was made with ginger beer & pineapple. This was light and refreshing. Also got to try the Garlic Shrimp ($19), Pan Tumaca ($7 - bread with grated tomato). Garlic Shrimp came in a tasty savory olive oil sauce containing garlic, hot pepper, and parsley. Shrimp was succulent and juicy. I did not enjoy the Pan Tumaca, which was toasted rustic bread topped with grated tomato, olive oil, and garlic. The bread was stale and hard, while the tomato was quite bland. For the entree, I shared the Steak with Fries ($35). The dish comprised of Hangar Steak, which was sliced into pieces and served medium (though I asked for medium well). While the Steak was bold in flavor, it was not tender enough and on the dry side. Fries were delightfully crispy and addicting with true potato taste. Service was decent. Our waitress was welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. Despite the place being very busy, everything came out in a timely manner and we were well attended to throughout our time here. Prices were reasonable, ranging from $7-25 for tapas, and around $26-35 for large plates.
