a variety of food items being prepared
Kemi A.

I really enjoyed my meal. I got the rice and peas, Pernil and plantains. I requested some of the oxtail gravy on top of the rice. They just started serving lunch when I arrived so everything was fresh. I did take away because I had to go back to work. You can dine in as well, and they have an area for outdoor dining. They have a variety of options if you want Pork, Beef, Chicken, Fish etc. Price is decent and portions are big. There was a small bit of oxtail (from the gravy) on my rice so I got to sample the oxtail. Flavorful as well. I actually went back to get another plate to take home for my mother, that's how much I enjoyed it. Normally I don't come to this area but I was here for work, and I sent my coworkers there to get their lunch as well.

Definitely not chicken

My mom has eaten take out from here before and has always been satisfied. I decided to try it today on my way home and can safely say i will probably not be back. The girl at the counter was rude. She stood there ignoring me. When I asked what a certain soup was, she spooned it to show me and said chicken. I told her I would like one large soup and an order of plantains to go. Once she had packed it, she asked if that was all I wanted. I said yes. She mumbled some number and held out her hand but I didn't hear her so I said "how much is that?" She responded, "cash or credit?" I said "cash, but how much is it?" She said "$16." I gave her $16 And she walked away from me without saying another word. $16 for soup and plantains?!?!?! The plantains were ok, but not great. But ok.. I go home, pour some soup and am disgusted. There is no chicken. There isn't even any meat. There is only bones and skins of what I think might be pork, but can't really be sure. There was one chunk of carrot and two whole, undercooked potatoes/yuca? in a sort of tasty but very salty broth. I couldn't stomach it enough to eat it even though i was very hungry $16 literally in the trash.

Decent dominican food, many options. The service could be a bit better but overall is not a bad place to eat.

Came in on a Friday around 7:30 it wasn't too crowded. But the set up was a tragedy, it's one line but then somehow people get confused as to where they're paying and who's next because the cashier and other workers are calling random people up to the register, I just don't get it. The food was good but it needs a bit more improvement.

Its soooooo good !

I ordered the short ribs and the five-onion soup again, and both were excellent. The service was spot-on and impressively quick--my food arrived in under 15 minutes. The owner is also really cool; he personally greets guests and makes a point of chatting with the performers to ensure they're comfortable. This is a wonderfully romantic spot. The beautiful flowers add such a nice touch (as I mentioned in my previous review). While it's not fully upscale, it has an elevated, sophisticated vibe that makes you want to dress up for the occasion. Highly recommended!

The floral displays are fun and are probably the highlight of the visit. The space is clearly designed for photos, and I can see why it would be popular for birthdays, showers, or other special occasions. They seem to go the extra mile when it comes to creating a celebratory atmosphere. Service was excellent from start to finish. The staff at reception and at the table were attentive, friendly, and welcoming. Food-wise, we tried the Kung Pao calamari and wagyu meatballs after seeing other reviewers rave about them, but both felt a little gimmicky to me. Our group mostly stuck with more traditional brunch items, including breakfast burritos and omelettes, and those were fine. Overall, I would not necessarily come here just for the food, but I would recommend it for the atmosphere, service, and special-occasion vibe. It is a great spot if you want a pretty setting, good hospitality, and plenty of photo-friendly areas.

It's decor is Chinese original , from the lights to the music. The waiters wear bow ties. Noodles and great homemade duck sauce is brought to your table as well as a hot pot of tea. The menu is plentiful and the prices are outstanding for the amount of food you are served. Your not rushed here at all. We were given a cup of wonton soup with big pieces of pork and two large wontons. It wasnt greasy at all. Next the spare rib tips came out on a platter. Large portions and cooked to perfection. The shrimp with broccoli was excellent. Ten jumbo shrimps were deveined and sautéed. The broccoli was steamed and generous amounts were given. It also came with fried rice , the real stuff ...with actual egg and peas . Boy was that great. I ordered sesame chicken , of course all fresh and white meat , what a healthy portion . The broccoli was steamed as well and very generous portions. So stuffed couldn't fit dessert in. Steve came by and gave us both a fortune cookie. What an enjoyable dinner and very reasonable. All of that food and I had a Heineken totaled 39 dollars and some change.

The line was out the door, we waited about 10 minutes just for someone to take our order, and then another 35 minutes for our breakfast to arrive. My sister ordered a BACON EGG LETTUCE (without the tomato) and said both her sandwich and the home fries were overly salty. The host wasn't very welcoming and came across as rude, which wasn't a great first impression. On the positive side, our waiter was friendly, attentive, and provided good service despite how busy the restaurant was. With better staffing, faster service, and a friendlier greeting at the front, this could be a much better dining experience.

Their chicken was super crispy & moist inside and not greasy just the way we like it !! We also put our chicken in a large bowl and hit the chicken with some salt, onion & garlic powder the chicken was still piping hot so it mixed right in with a few tumbles !!
