It was very tasty but barely sufficient for just three people. About one third of the order was inedible fat and gristle (not two pounds of meat)! Our company ordered from here for lunch. Colleague of mine wanted to share so we ordered a 1lb of Pernil, and a 1lb of ribs with yellow rice and Rice with Pigeon Peas. with a side of beans. The ribs was good. Has a well balance of the fatty and lean parts. The Pernil was okay once you pour the sauce on it. It was a tad on the bland side and a bit dry but overall I feel like it depends on what part of the cut you get. For the cost of this meal. I felt like you're not getting that bang for your buck. Went to this place to order some tripe soup for me and my buddy. I also wanted to get fried pork, Chicharron, and a slice of avocado. When I paid he said the total was $30.00, sounds reasonable. I get back to the office and my order is missing the Chicharron. I called him to let him know that the order was missing, he said " Don't worry I didn't charge me". When my husband and I feel and itch for some ox tail, pernil and some ceviche, we always stop by here. We normally get to go meals but the shop is clean, neat and quiet. 4/16/17 I've become a regular since my first visit a few years back. Breakfast sandwiches are the best. My favorite, Egg White, Bacon & Cheese on a Kaiser roll sustains you the whole day! With a café con leche. They have other Breakfast combinations. The Roasted chicken, really flavorful and moist. Chicharrones(Pork & Chicken)s, Pernil, Stir Fried Meat, Fish, Ox Tail. Vegetables and salads& Soups, Beans compliment the menu. Everything is delicious. I have not a bad meal there yet. Fruit juices, the Mango is addictive. The staff is friendly and very efficient. This is one of my favorite Spanish restaurants however today I was beyond furious with the way that the driver spoke to me on 1/24/16 at 1:04pm. I waited over two hours to receive my delivery. I wasn't the least bit surprised with their turn around time because I know that good food shouldn't be rushed. Besides I'm used to their crazy delivery times. I placed my delivery at 11:13am and called back to check how long it'll take at 12:45pm. I was told it's on the way. At 1:04pm I received a phone call that my food is outside. I told him exactly where I was and that I'm not coming outside to pick up my food when I specifically asked for the "delivery" option. The guy goes off on me. He says, "There's snow everywhere. I understand you're inside, but you'll have to come get your food. We all have to get along and work together." My one and only response was, "Why do you have an attitude?!" He claims he didn't have one. I hung up on him, got dressed, wrapped my wet hair in a towel and went outside. At this point I'm ready to confront the delivery guy and speak my peace. I'm sure the little boy that was standing awkwardly with my food in his hand was afraid I was going to go off. To say I am vexed is an understatement. I asked him what was the attitude about? He said it wasn't him but it was his father. I asked him what snow was in the way that he couldn't come around the corner approximately less than a foot to bring me my food. He said they're not obligated to go to the door. I simply told him that's a lie and what would be the point in delivering my food if I have to come outside?! As you all may know, there was no tip given besides telling him that his father needs to man up and handle his own dirty work. I also called and spoke to the manager to complain about that low life. For the family size quantity you receive(feeds 5), the quality is unmatched. I really appreciate that they do not drown their food in salt or Sazon. Everything is flavorful and seasoned perfectly. The Empanadas are standard and could benefit from some extra seasoning. They offer seasoned chicken and beef with onions and peppers for taste. This is not Mama's Empanadas but you can expect a crisp, moist and tasty empanada. The Boneless fried chicken is delicious. Also simply seasoned and not greasy. The Avocado salad is a staple to finish off your meal. The Delivery and customer service here can be hit or miss. The estimated time of delivery can reach up to about 1 Hour and 15 minutes. It's my "go to" for Spanish style meals. There is a nice variety of food from rice, beans, chicken, fish, prom, beef and salads + much much more. It is allllll so tasty! Prices: I've been here when a lunch size container was 5$. This would include rice, beans and chicken. However, it has increased to 7$. You still get a good amount of food in the container for what you pay for. Like I said, I come here a lot. With that being said, I've had negative experiences with one particular lady who sometimes handles the food and cashier. At those times I received a (very) bad attitude when I was only trying to get the order right and made sure they've packed what I ordered- I sometimes get food for other people also so I wanted to make sure it was all there. I wouldn't complain but she didn't try to hide it or anything and clearly I felt a way. Your food is great but customer service is also a must. A great Latin/American take-out restaurant with a handful of tables inside; yes, I meant Latin/American not Latin-American. This restaurant serves a mix of Latin dishes and American one's like Macaroni and Cheese. I opted for a plate with paella and avocado salad. Both were fresh and extremely flavorful. The avocado salad had tomatoes, peppers, onions, and some nice lime juice which made for a nice natural dressing once tossed. The paella was delicious! I ordered Mangú(mashed plantain) which is served with fried egg and fried cheese & your choice of bacon, sausage, or salami. Of course I had the fried salami.
