From my first call to a friendly voice on the phone, Heather, to meeting the owners Brent and Jesse this company is doing it right. They all are super friendly, engaging, and approachable and happy to have have a conversation with your. We had three things done at Control Freaks. I had my 2022 Ford F250 Platinum Tremor tinted. Brian, AKA "Tint Master", has been doing this longer than anyone you are likely to meet. I would bet money on it. He did every piece of exterior facing glass on my truck with the best ceramic tint on the market with the highest UV protection for my interior. To say it was done with perfection is an understatement. I had my wife's Jeep tinted the same way with the exact same precision and outcome. We also had her Jeep detailed by Erickson and Mike. They did the best detail I have seen in many, many years. These guys are professionals and are passionate about what they do. You can see it in the finished product. I popped the hood when we got home and was very surprised to see they had even cleaned her dusty, sandy engine compartment. The attention to detail is awesome. Control Freaks is not the cheapest service out there. Ask yourself this: "I have one shot at doing this right. Do I want to pay for this again if I don't like what I have done?" If your answer is "I am not willing to take a chance" (and you really should not be), stop your search for the right company now, it is, Control Freaks. Paying another company to do a cheaper job will only result in you having to pay again to have it done right. Don't waste more time researching and calling around. Check out Control Freak's reviews. I have yet to see another company or business of any kind with all 5-star reviews.

Dooney & Bourke Outlet Store - I got this large clear tote for only $40!

Unfortunately, there are not many Dooney stores or even outlet stores around. My mom started purchasing Dooney bags for me about 15 years ago and I still enjoy them. This location is rarely busy and I cannot remember a time where there were more than 3 people in there. They usually have some pretty good sales and the most common I have seen is 40-50% off. The clearance section is in the right corner in the back. Usually those items are final sale and the price is as marked. The deals are great but not phenomenal. I have had better steals at other stores. I like visiting here as well because I already stop at the customer service desk for the outlet and receive a coupon book. Dooney always has a deal which is spend $125 and receive a free gift. Most of the time I received a nice small cosmetic bag that is valued at $40+. There were other times I received a keychain among other useless items for myself. But it's a bonus so I can't complain. The sales associates are usually bland here. They are friendly but not super excited or into convincing you to buys bags you don't need lol. I do like that they are not super aggressive like other outlets. It would be nice if they were not so strict about the coupon book offer. They don't have to put anything with their sales; they just mark it on your book. I have went there and forgot it was already marked off and they didn't allow me to use it again. So I left without purchasing.

I very rarely ever look at Dooney and Bourke bags when I'm in the mall because I refuse to pay full price for one of them. If I'm going to spend that kind of money, then I'm going to spend it on a Coach bag. Ok, so I'm a Coach snob... sue me! LOL However, when I find myself at the outlets in St. Augustine, I always make a point to stop by the Dooney Outlet to have a look around because I never know what I may find. One thing I really love about this particular outlet versus the Coach outlet is that it is never horribly crowded. You actually have space to move about the store without bumping into people. This also allows the salespeople to be much more helpful because they don't have has many customers all at once. They have always been very friendly, and when I've gone in, they even ask if there's anything in particular I'm looking for and they go out of their way to help me find things. They have super awesome deals in here. Duh... I guess I shouldn't even have to mention that fact since it is an outlet store. Once, I picked up a large clear tote for $40. Total steal! Score! I really love using this particular bag when going to arenas for concerts, sporting events, etc. Basically anywhere they are going to want to look through your bag before you can enter. Because it's clear, they don't have to poke around in my bag quite so much because they can already see everything I have in it. If you're shopping at the outlets in St. Augustine, definitely don't missing stopping into this shop!

I went to their bar in the historic district to buy some for home. The bar, like most buildings in the area, is at least a hundred years old and full of details and quirky spots. It is literally in a warehouse building and you walk in through garage type doors.  The tap room is to the left when you enter which is a little confusing because the way it is set up it with bench tables, the natural flow is to jeep walking forward. The tap room is dark and looks like someone put a bar in the basement.  There are high tops and bar stool which are warn.  Kind of gives it that dive bar feel.  There is a juke box and some games. Our beertender Connor was wonderful.  He introduced us to their wonder cat Galleon.  Galleon was very entertaining, especially when he was tearing through coasters.  They had about six of the own beers on tap when we visited and about 8 or 9 guest taps.  The selection was good.  They also have this cool board where you can leave a drink for friends.  Love the concept of paying it forward. The Beer: Galleon's Golden Ale 4.8% ABV... I can taste the corn in it, smooth drinking, slightly pilsesk Mataza River Red Ale 6.2% ABV... Some bold flavor here, slightly bitter, and also great Ponce's Pale Ale 5.2% ABV... really wasn't feeling this one Pump Quistador pumpkin Ale 9% ABV... delicious, not a fan of pumpkin beer, this is a good one Anastasia Island IPA 6.5%... decent IPA All and all a decent beer selection.  They brew some good beers here at Ancient City Brewing.
