I have not had a problem with my pups following grooms neither physically or emotionally, so I have continued to bring them. However this time was the last time, undoubtedly. When I arrived to pick my Yankee up I was surprised to hear that their credit card system was not working. I do not carry cash on me and since I live so close by I left my phone behind when I left to pick up my dog. The girl at the counter was kind when she asked if I could zelle the payment when I got home, which I had no problem doing. However the "manager" (Chelsea I believe was her name), apparently didn't like the idea of that. She walked over with a nasty attitude asking me "what the problem was" and told me she would not be giving me my dog until I paid. Meanwhile my puppy was screeching for me and scratching under the gate. Obviously this was not a great way to approach the situation and I told her to call her boss to take my card info and let her know I will no longer be bringing my business there because of her managers treatment of me. She had a smirk as if she could care less, which is probably the case to be honest and that's just fine. And they don't know me or all the business I have sent their way that will also follow me after such disrespect. Such a shame. This place was really great until they started hiring these kind of people. Miss the old staff! I will be trying another place next month.

My family used California Grooming for our dogs for years. Our one Shih Tzu had an issue with…read morebiting when getting groomed so they had to use a muzzle, which we understood. We had to unexpectedly put the Shih Tzu down because of a serious illness brought on by old age (he was 15). When we returned to California Grooming the next time without the dog, the groomer commented "good, he was mean anyways". This grooming appointment was weeks after we had to put our dog down and upset my mother. It was highly inappropriate and very thoughtless to make a comment like that. I would never use California Grooming again.
