UPDATE I used to love this place. Have been bringing my dogs here for years. Unfortunately since it's been under new ownership I've noticed a decline in the staffs professionalism and respect for customers. I have not had a problem with my pups following grooms neither physically or emotionally, so I have continued to bring them. However this time was the last time, undoubtedly. When I arrived to pick my Yankee up I was surprised to hear that their credit card system was not working. I do not carry cash on me and since I live so close by I left my phone behind when I left to pick up my dog. The girl at the counter was kind when she asked if I could zelle the payment when I got home, which I had no problem doing. However the "manager" (Chelsea I believe was her name), apparently didn't like the idea of that. She walked over with a nasty attitude asking me "what the problem was" and told me she would not be giving me my dog until I paid. Meanwhile my puppy was screeching for me and scratching under the gate. Obviously this was not a great way to approach the situation and I told her to call her boss to take my card info and let her know I will no longer be bringing my business there because of her managers treatment of me. She had a smirk as if she could care less, which is probably the case to be honest and that's just fine. And they don't know me or all the business I have sent their way that will also follow me after such disrespect. Such a shame. This place was really great until they started hiring these kind of people. Miss the old staff! I will be trying another place next month. read more

The staff is friendly and was always so great with my puppy. We have been here a few times for her grooming and always leave disappointed with her cut. We have asked for her to be cut short around her face, and she never is. This last time we asked to please take care of her nails because they are very long and sharp. She somehow came home with even sharper nails and they still look very long. We had to take her to another groomer to have them cut down. We won't be going back since we aren't satisfied with what we have asked for, but the staff is extremely friendly and the reason we have continued to go back after previous disappointing results. read more

No, no, no! This place has a new owner. I brought my 2 pups there for the first time for a short grooming and they literally shaved them to the skin. They completely cut the waterfall tail off one of my pups and shaved her butt so close she has lacerations. Her tail is now a rat's tail; she lost her crown and glory. She is traumatized. She's constantly rubbing her butt. It's been 5 days and she's not right; she hides in the corners of my house and doesn't mingle or show her old friendly personality. My other pup has bloody scabs on her chest and they knicked a growth on her foot and is bleeding. I had to bring both to my vet. I did call when I got home and spoke to owner. He never apologized. Find another groomer with more experience. read more

Please avoid getting your furbaby groomed here. We had our Bernadoodle groomed here on February 9th, and my husband and I were quite distraught to say the least. Our furbaby was shaved to the skin. Bald spots by his nose, almost raw and bleeding. Our furbaby was unrecognizable. Our furbaby black, white, and gold, with a heart of gold. Last time he was there, the owner called us every step of the way. This time was totally opposite. I did not care about the money. I just wanted him to have a great shampoo,condioner, and a haircut that furbaby can achieve. How horrible!!!!!! read more

And my Charlie is an abused rescue and my husband and me were SHOCKED when the owner took Charlie and Charlie hugged him. My adult children can't even hold him and we rescued him 9 years ago. Last week we dropped our Bernadoodle "Bronco"off to be groomed at What The PUP in Lacey. We knew he was matted because we had not had him groomed is 60 days. We discussed the gromming with the owners wife and said we DID NOT want him buzzed. She said he would have to have a short cut but not a buzz. When we picked him up we were mortified!!! he was shaved extremly short over his entire body and even had buzzer cuts on his face. Our dog was unrecognizable, we even questioned if they brought out the correct dog!!! When my wife saw Bronco she cried!!! My wife called the owners husband who was extremely unsympathetic and uncaring. I called him myself and encountered the same extremly poor attitude. During the conversation the owner offered to give a full refund. I was not looking for a refund, I just wanted an apology but he said he didn't care about our money. At that point, I agreed to the refund. He then said I sould come pick up the cash and made a comment that he would be happy to be rid of us. When we went to pick up the refund we were turned away.
