After waiting three long weeks for them to arrive, everything looked blurry and wrong the moment I put them on. When I returned to the store hoping for a refund, they flatly refused--no returns, no money back. Instead, they suggested I pay out of pocket for another exam as a "second opinion," with the vague promise they might help afterward. Frustrated but determined, I did exactly that with a different doctor, who confirmed I don't need any prescription at all. I sent them the new report as proof, expecting a full refund, but they still wouldn't budge. Their only concession was to let me turn the unnecessary glasses into sunglasses for a credit. With no other options left, I reluctantly took them up on that offer--only for it to drag on another three weeks with the glasses still not returned to me. It's obvious their initial exam was inaccurate, their staff refused to take responsibility, and corporate clearly doesn't care enough to make it right. I won't be going back, and I'd strongly advise anyone else to steer clear unless you're okay with the very real risk of being misled, overcharged, and left with no resolution.

However, after my experience from my last appointment, I'll have to look for a different place for future eye care needs. During my last appointment, my optician, Jennifer, provided incorrect information about the rewards/rebates I'd receive for my contact lens order. I specifically mentioned that my purchase (6 months' worth vs. 12 months' worth) depends on my net out-of-pocket cost. It turns out I'm not receiving anything close to the amount of rewards/rebates that the optician said I would receive, so I ended up paying a lot more for contact lenses than I normally would have. I've called and messaged the office and tried reaching the optician multiple times since late March. I even tried calling the general manager and left a voicemail, but received no response. I finally managed to connect with the optician once over the phone and once via email in mid-April; I haven't heard back from her since, despite following up on the status of my issue every week. After over a month of trying to resolve this issue, no real progress has been made. I spent about $100 more than I should have, and I'm disappointed by both the misinformation and lack of communication.

I went back about three times and saw four different technicians for adjustments. Mr. Matthew Park was the last person who assisted me, and he truly stood out. He was patient, attentive, and highly knowledgeable. He even remade my lenses at no charge and put in a great deal of effort to ensure I was satisfied. I went back once more for another adjustment, and now they feel almost perfect. If you're someone who's hard to please or have a more challenging case, I highly recommend asking for Mr. Park. He clearly knows what he's doing and goes above and beyond to help--without ever showing frustration.

What really stood out was how clearly and patiently she explained everything... what she was looking for, what the results meant, and how it all connects to long-term eye health. I never felt rushed, and she made sure I understood my eye health and what to watch for long term. It's rare to find a doctor who is both very knowledgeable and genuinely takes the time to educate their patients. Highly recommend if you're looking for someone who truly cares about your eye health. The amazing and extensive selection of frames was definitely an added bonus!

My toddler daughter needed glasses and we already had a prescription from her pediatric Ophthalmologist. I was searching for a place closer to home that carried toddler frames, because the recommendations from her pediatric Ophthalmologist at the Dohney eye institute in Pasadena were all in SGV. I called New Vision specifically asking about frames for my 20-month old and after being satisfied with their answers, made an appointment. However, their selection was disappointing and they didn't have the strap-on toddler frames, as I was told on the phone. I went with the only viable option reluctantly because I wanted to get the glasses and didn't want to waste more time. I gave them the prescription (in paper form) and they had trouble with their scanner so told me they'd give it back to me when we picked up the glasses. I asked if my daughter needed to be present, and they said yes. When glasses were ready, they texted me at 3:48 Friday asking me to make an appointment, and said they were closing at 4:15 and reopened on Monday. Had I been notified even a couple hours earlier, I could have rearranged my schedule instead of waiting until Monday. So that was disappointing. Finally when picking them up, my daughter tried them on but they didn't really do anything else so not sure why my daughter needed to be present or why I needed to make an appointment. And they also didn't have the paper prescription that I had been promised. The person giving me the glasses made zero effort and just told me how easy it is to request it again from the ophthalmologist office. I obviously know this. This just underscored to me that things aren't communicated properly about patient requests.
