They did a lot of significant legwork with our insurance company throughout the process. I am really pleased with how they went to bat with insurance and pressed them to cover the maximum repairs possible, including bringing the repair items on our older home up to this year's code. Since I have never made a claim on my homeowner's policy before, I am very happy with how helpful Ryan and the team were with getting insurance to cover what our policy states it should for these repairs. Several of our neighbors also had Quality work on their roof and/or siding after this storm, and everyone has been pleased with the work. Ryan is very knowledgeable and was helpful throughout the process. If you also have a complex exterior roof/siding repair that you'll be making a claim for, I highly recommend them.

It's actually cheaper to go with a smaller than larger company say, Airco. As E & J Comfort Air in Lago Vista said, "Less mouths to feed." Airco quoted us $15k for a variable Daikin mid range DC6VSS condenser and a DM80VC furnace. We paid $12.1k with Jurnee for the same equivalent 4 Ton Goodman variable mid range GXV6S condenser and GRVT80 furnace with 19 SEER, Daikin thermostat, replacing supply and return plenum, moving the entire furnace in the attic three to four feet, 10 year extended labor warranty with Trinity, free maintenance for two years, and Reme Halo UV light. Daikin owns Goodman so they're basically the same parts with a different label. Carl put it in his calendar to remind us in six months so he can come over and do maintenance for free. We received five bids from five different companies. My husband and I are both engineers. Trust us when we say, Carl was the smartest and most technical out of the five guys who came to our house. The question is, "Who do you want to work with for the next ten years?". Carl was the only one out of the five guys, to run a Manual J test. You can tell Carl is smart because there are all these pictures on Instagram of him installing a Daikin mini split system. We didn't purchase a mini split system. But I know, no one in Austin will touch a Daikin mini split because they don't know what to do with it.

I was concerned because where they used the special materials to fill the cracks during the correction -it now ponds over when it rains. I wasn't sure that was supposed to happen. Rusty and Francisco took a look where the corrections were made in the lifting was done and assured me that everything was good. The reason the water ponds somewhat on the top is it is not going down into the crisis which causes the cement to sink. That may not be exactly correct, but that's it to the best of my understanding. Anyway, they were great and very reassuring. We recommend Baird!

I contacted Baird to raise my driveway and front porch steps. They offered a package that involved…read morefilling foam under the affected areas of my driveway and sealing the edges to prevent further erosion of support underneath. The foam only raised the driveway about 1inch. It needed to be raised about 2 1/2 inches to meet the entry to my garage. When I asked them to raise it further they said that they couldn't raise it anymore. They never mentioned when they were selling me the package that they would not be able to bring the driveway up level with the garage. Then a few months after the work was done I began noticing that new cracks were forming in my driveway. It turns out that they had only filled underneath one end of two large slabs in my driveway thereby creating a gaps underneath the center sections of the slabs where they were not supported. After driving over the slabs they inevitably cracked. This was easily predictable, so Baird would have known that this was going to happen. When I asked them to remedy the situation Rusty said that for another couple of thousand dollars they could inject more foam to support the rest of the affected slabs and prevent further cracking. I told him that they had created this problem and they needed to take responsibility. He/they refused. I gave them two stars instead of one because the front porch steps were better though not level with the entry.

My husband wanted to give the business to a locally owned company, so called the Round Rock office of Patch Boys. James came out to give an estimate. He was personable, knowledgeable, and honest, and knew what we needed to reduce the likelihood of future issues. Because the ceiling problem had recurred, he also recommended we engage a foundation company to determine if movement was causing this. He took photos and said we'd get an estimate that evening. regardless. The estimate didn't arrive that evening or even soon after. My husband had to ask for it... and because it lacked the important details he emailed the company (twice) to ask. The final reply kindly said they were having staffing problems, and they hoped our repairs (with another supplier) went well. Their pricing was somewhat lower than our other bid, but we will have to go elsewhere.

Carmelo and Andres did a great job on the Kitchen and Master Bath ceiling, repairing damage from a water leak. Because of poor workmanship on a previous repair of the Kitchen ceiling, Carmelo had to "correct" the sub-standard work of prior contractor. I was charged a reasonable amount to do that repair. The water damage was significant enough to require more coats of Kilz and paint than expected, and Carmelo was diligent and committed to make sure it was right, coming back for several more visits. He was a really nice guy, and I really trusted him. Each day, he taped up the plastic protective sheeting, so that I could use my kitchen overnight. Patch Boys didn't charge extra for this unanticipated work, and I really appreciated that. I will definitely use Patch Boys for additional drywall and painting projects that are in my pipeline. Excellent response time, quality, value and customer service. Carmelo was awesome!

Texas Solar Power Company just installed a 4.35 kW rooftop solar array on our house. The setup is…read moredesigned to cover all of the electricity we use. The payoff period is 7 years for us - in the end, the rooftop array cost us what electricity would for 7 years, then it's free forever. And that's if electricity costs never go up, which they probably will. So counting the likelihood of electricity rate increases, the payoff period is likely less than 7 years. Point is, installing a home solar power array is not only good for not burning coal - where the majority of electricity comes from in Austin - but it's actually cheaper in the long run. Texas Solar Power Company did a great job - really. They know their stuff, they are dependable and committed to providing a great product to the customer. They came out originally on a Saturday to put in the original bid. They came out on a Friday night to get the final contract signed. They have really done everything to get this setup installed. I still call them and they come out if there is any problem. Sure - there are a few snags. They are *sometimes* a bit hard to get ahold of. I think they are really just super busy with the solar boom that's going on. The panels took longer to come in than they estimated - again due to high demand. Point is, if you're considering rooftop solar - which you should - call them. They are good at what they do.

Colby, indicated that he would get me the quote on 04/19/2021, I waited most of the morning to hear from Colby, so when I didn't receive an email or a call, I called the company. I was told Colby was in the field and he would pass message to him and have Colby give me a call. At about 5:30, I finally had to call the company to find out if Colby got my message, but to my surprise Colby answered the phone. I asked him if he was done with my quote and at that time I found out he wasn't comfortable providing me with a quote. So he was told how mad I was, especially when he had all the information the day before, he knew a trench was required and all he did was blow me off. So I called his Boss Derek, who did nothing but give excuse after excuse. My best recommendation is to find a Solar Company that knows what it takes to install a Solar system.
