We did our installation in 2022 and have seen our energy bills lower than ever before! (We have some shade on our roof so we didn't do the full roof, ~20 panels or so, but it worked out well.) They did the rebate work with the city so our out-of-pocket cost wasn't exorbitant at all. Our household also recently purchased a second electric vehicle so we contacted 512 Solar again, this time for a level 2 charger installation. Once again, 512 Solar was excellent at getting our quote together, suggesting two hardwired chargers that the city does rebates on, and actually getting the work done as well. We have to do the final step with submitting the rebate paperwork to the city, I believe, but that's small beans compared to all the work that JP and Huiyun did for us at the outset. Really happy we went with these folks and will continue to recommend their business!

The issues that is present at the moment is the HoA has never provided us with a statement at all for the services provided by HD electric which they are stating is 3,500 per unit. How is one supposed to pay a bill that was never received to begin with. I called TDLR and they requested I call HD electric to obtain that bill/ itemized statement. I spoke with "Rusty" who had an incredibly disgusting attitude. This is not the first time that one of the homeowners affected by this has experienced this by calling this rude and unethical company. If it was up to us and not the HOA we would have never gone to a company that is extremely rude for no reason and short! You ask them a question trying to find answers and they hang up! I would never recommend this company to anyone! The lack of respect for their customers or anyone even using this phone line is absurd, disgraceful, and negligent . And if anyone from HD sees this and cares to respond solely to save face, please don't! If you are not allowing people to follow up with your high and mighty company after sending out huge amounts with no bill then maybe try working in a field where you don't have to work with people and can be a jerk for free! So much for keeping us "out of the dark!"

Our experience was not great…read more Hired Eugene to add 3 outdoor electrical outlets for a fan misting system and future TV. Outlets look fine - left trash everywhere that I had to pick up outside (we have little kids and didn't need them stepping on screws and trash.) Left trash inside the house - in our driveway - lazy to not clean up after yourself. On his rush out, he ran his big van off our driveway retaining wall and broke a huge section of the wall. He said he would refer and send another contractor out to finish our walls - putting sheetrock back together and texturing walls so they were "paint ready." That contractor showed up to do a half-ass job - said he would return to finish - never returned. 3-4 cancelations over 3-4 weeks - not responding to texts - finally sent "another" guy to finish his work. That guy showed up - walked the house - said he was going to Home Depot to get materials and guess what... never came back. Now neither are responding leaving us with NON paint ready shitty walls. Our house was left a freaking disaster. And we are also now out the cost to repair our retaining wall. I would not hire - too hard to find good contractors.

Justin did a great job, so we called again for another project..then another. After that, we decided to upgrade the service panel in the garage, he came and did that with the same level of professionalism and attention to detail. I've known for quite some time that our main service panel outside was a fire hazard. An old Federal Pacific box from the '70's. I'd thought about getting that replaced, but always got outrageous quotes from other contractors or was told that the process was "a real pain...pulling permits from the city, etc." I asked Justin about that, long story short, he got the permits, arranged the shutoff, replaced everything and gave us a major upgrade including a built in surge protector. He finished the job, and the city electrical was here within minutes to get the power back on. Seamless planning on his part. We now also have a way to run a generator to the entire house if the power goes out. All for a price much fairer than anyone who'd quoted the job in the past. This level of service is hard to find, we're really fortunate to have found him.

We also wanted to do some ergonomic updates, recessed lighting, etc. We got an estimate from Mr. Sparky, who more or less confirmed everything from the inspector. Which is an issue, since inspectors are often too enthusiastic. The property is 36 years old, and a number of things that would violate current code are grandfathered. Mr. Sparky didn't seem too interested in that. We ended up with a low-end quote of $15K and high-end of $20K. Ace Electric brought a much more pragmatic look at things, and came in at a low of $5K and a high of $10K. The extra $5K being a major rewiring of the main panel to support a higher amperage. Fair enough. Overall, very professional assessment and the repair crew were sharp. They are going to be my new go-to electrician.
