Greenstar Power installed my solar system three years ago. I have called for service a few times. Each call for service was promptly resolved within a few days. Most recently, my roof developed a small water leak. I contacted Greenstar, thinking the leak was related to the solar installation. I received service the next day. Turns out the leak was unrelated to the solar installation. The Greenstar technician showed me pictures of the cause and resealed the leaking roof vent at no charge to me. At first, Nicolas seemed professional. However, after we did not pass the initial credit check (understandable, as we had just purchased a home and completed upgrades), the experience quickly turned uncomfortable. Nicolas began pushing for a co-signer and even offered a "$1,000 bonus" for any co-signer. I explained multiple times that my brother -- the only possible co-signer -- had just helped pay for our wedding and was not in a financial position to co-sign. Despite clearly telling Nicolas no, he then suggested we could simply "run my brother's credit to see if he qualified," even after my brother had explicitly declined. This was a major red flag. Worse, two weeks later, we discovered that Nicolas ran multiple unauthorized credit inquiries on my husband's credit report -- without any consent or communication. This is a clear violation of trust and could also be a violation of federal credit reporting laws (FCRA). This was an incredibly disappointing and stressful experience. I would highly caution anyone considering working with Nicolas Berges or Green Star. Trust matters -- and unfortunately, ours was completely broken. Update: I appreciate that Greenstar Power took the time to respond. However, I stand by my review. The issue was never simply the "presentation of options" -- it was the persistent, high-pressure behavior even after clear refusals, and most importantly, the unauthorized multiple credit inquiries without our consent. Running someone's credit without permission is not a "service issue" -- it is a serious violation of federal law (FCRA). I hope Greenstar reflects on the importance of respecting customer consent and trust, because this experience was extremely stressful and disappointing. Greenstar Power installed solar panels along with a new roof on our home in Leander. Just an incredibly great group of people to deal with. And they do know their solar, folks! The new roof and the solar installation were expertly done -- and quickly. Since then, any questions we have had have been answered by Nathan, and all the representatives who have come by to check/confirm the operation of the panels and equipment have been knowledgeable and courteous. If I could give this compamy a negative review I my would. My neighbor had same company different sales rep. My panels cost me all together 37k and I only got 14. She got a quote same company more panels, and she was getting for 24k thats not after the rebate for taxes. Do not use these people. I understand people have to make a living and commission. But no matter what there needs to be a set price. Not happy at all with company. VERY UNPLEASED DO NOT RECCOMMENT. MAME SURE YOU FIND A COMPANY WHO ISNT GOING TO RIP U OFF. He drove all the way to meet us in San Antonio & was very informative he wasn't pushy or seemed like he just wanted to make a sale, he took the time to explain everything and answer any and all our questions. We decided to move forward and he has been responsive and kept us updated throughout the whole process.
